Chicago! Stand With Israel Rally Thursday, 5 PM

A reminder from John Ruberry at Marathon Pundit, who wrote this: Friends help each other when one of them is in trouble. Israel of course is a close friend of America, and yes, our dearest ally in the Middle East. If you want to help out a friend, then show up at 111 E. Wacker Drive in downtown Chicago on Thursday at 5:00pm. The Israeli Consulate is located there, and strangely enough, so is the Turkish Consulate. Bring your American and Israeli flags, but don't worry about signs. You can pick one out at the rally site. Most of the Chicago establishment media is located within walking distance of East Wacker Drive--let's give them something to shout about. Thanks John!

Marathon Pundit's Deep Penetration

He went deep undercover: John Ruberry (a.k.a. "Marathon Pundit," a.k.a. "The Chameleon") penetrated deep into Organizing For America (OFA).

John recounted his penetration of OFA in "A 'teabagger' attends an Organizing for America training session," posted on May 7.

That's John in the photo, taken at the Rockford Tea Party Express event on April 6. He looks too normal to fit into an OFA meeting, I think, but he gave it a shot.

OFA is Comrade Obama's huge propanda machine and private army. John pretended to be a progressive liberal and attended one of their recent meeting just north of Chicago. From John's own account of the experience:

Three weeks ago I received an e-mail from Barack Obama's political arm, Organizing for America, inviting me to a Camp OFA training session in Evanston, Illinois, just a few miles from my home. I signed up, under my real name. I have an OFA online account.

Would they let him in?

A few days later I received a Monday phone bank call (more on that later) from an enthusiastic volunteer from the Democratic Party of Evanston (DPOE) confirming my interest, and asking me if instead of attending the May 5 session I signed up for, would I be interested in attending a second meeting, one week later? It seems that response was so overwhelming, that this training session would have to be moved to larger quarters, in this case the Firehouse Grill on Chicago Avenue. Originally, the meeting was to be held at DPOE headquarters.  I opted for my initial choice.

In conversations with John prior to his going undercover, we discussed how he could pass as a liberal progressive. I suggested that he not shave or bathe for a week and find a tie-dyed shirt at a local thrift shop. John didn't say whether he did that or not, but apparently he fooled the OFA goons, you betcha.

OFA may seem impressive, but they make mistakes. Such as letting me into this meeting.

John's account of the meeting is entertaining - and instructive. It is a must-read.

Would you would like to attend an OFA meeting? John says, "there's another Evanston training next Wednesday." That's May 12. "Tell ten friends," he suggests. And why not? The OFA certainly sends enough infiltrators to the Tea Parties. The more the merrier. I suggest you not bathe for about a week.

Marathon Pundit Speaks at Silent NO More Tea Party

Chicago, Oct. 17, 2009 - Video - The "Silent NO More Tea Party" in was almost washed out by rain on Saturday, but at the last moment the sun broke through and the rally went on. Among the speakers at the rally was John Ruberry, the man behind the popular conservative blog, "Marathon Pundit." This is John's speech to the crowd at Millennium Park. It's significant that October 17 is the anniversary of the Russian Revolution that gave birth to the Soviet Union; John's wife escaped the repression of the Soviet Union to come to America. THIS IS URGENT. Start saving ("caching") politicians' web pages NOW. ACORN and SEIU are scrubbing their web sites, deleting incriminating or embarassing information in an effort to cover their tracks. You can bet that plenty of elected officials are busy scrubbing their own websites to erase or modify what was written about their relationships with ACORN and/or SEIU. No matter where you live in the United States, the odds are good that at least some of your local elected officials have ties to ACORN and/or SEIU. Those ties may be direct, they may be indirect. Those officials - your congressman, US senator, governor, state legislator, county board members, mayor, alderman/city council member, school system president, and so on - most likely have web sites. NOW IS THE TIME TO CACHE/SAVE VITAL INFORMATION FROM THOSE OFFICIALS' SITES. Here's why... The American Spectator reported on April 22, 2009 that "ACORN did a strange thing today. It scrubbed its website of references to two of its key affiliates, Locals 100 and 880 of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), an event reported by Kevin Mooney of the Washington Examiner." To "scrub" a website is to delete some or all material. It's akin to shredding documents. The difference, of course, is that we can access the politicians' web sites and copy virtually anything, saving it as an archived file (see tips for doing this below). This can be used later, if needed, to effectively prove they are lying if they deny what their own sites once said. Good friend John Ruberry (Marathon Pundit) addresses this in a brilliant post titled "Jan Schakowsky, ACORN, and no phone call." In that post, he wrote, "Let's get to work, conservative bloggers," he wrote this week, "before the libs scrub their sites." John and I live in Jan Schakowsky Land. He's in Skokie, I'm in a bunker on Chicago's north side. John has archived Schakowsky's web pages for years, and it bears fruit. John wrote about that, too. Another excerpt from John's post:

"I've compiled a greatest hits collection of ACORN and Schakowsky. I reserved two hours of my day for the congresscritter, below you will find the result of my labors. Each link comes from Schakowsky's congressional web site."

I know John won't mind me saying that we both urge YOU to archive web pages from your elected officials' web sites. As John did with Schakowsky, I have done with a Chicago city council member (see "Alderman Joe Moore, ACORN and SEIU "). Let's hold the SOB's to their words, including the ones they delete and later try to deny. Liberals love to revise history - let's not let them get away with it.

Tip 1: If you try to access web page but it seems to have disappeared, try clicking "Cached" in the search results.

Tip 2: Sometimes pages don't actually disappear, but are assigned new URL's. So, to quickly find a word or phrase on a website, use Google's advanced search, and go to "Search within a site or domain:" Enter the URL, without the "http://" or "www." For example, to search for "ACORN" on Jan Schakowsky's website (www.janschakowsky.org), you would only enter "janschakowsky.org" there. Click to see the results of that search.

Obama 2012 Campaign Up and Running

Get ready to see a lot more signs like this, America, campaign signs for Barack Obama's 2012 campaign for re-election. Make no mistake, this sign is a campaign sign. It serves no other real purpose. It does not warn you adverse road conditions. It gives no important information that any driver or pedestrian needs. This sign is like those signs that say something like "Mayor Smith Welcomes You to Smithville." Mayor Smith gets free propaganda value from those signs. The sign shown here only serves as propaganda for Barack Obama. Both Mayor Smith's sign and Obama's sign are paid for by your tax dollars. Nice arrangement, huh? The photo was taken by John Ruberry of Marathon Pundit took this photo on May 15. He wrote about it that evening: "I found what some of that stimulus money is going for--signs like these that I encountered this morning on Skokie Boulevard in Skokie, Illinois," John said, "Sheesh, it's bad enough that I have to pay for the stimulus bill, but why do I have to kick in for Obama's 2012 reelection campaign? I'm wondering if these ARRA signs will be as ubiquitous as the NRA eagle was during the the early days Franklin Roosevelt presidency." The "ARRA" that John refers to is the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009," passed into law by Congress on February 17, 2009. The "NRA" that John refers to is the "National Recovery Administration," part of President Franklin Roosevelt's "New Deal" during the Great Depression. The NRA eagle logo was seen in merchant windows and elsewhere all over the U.S. In June 1933, the National Recovery Administration (NRA) was created to supervise the execution of the NIRA under the direction of Hugh S. Johnson. During its first year, the NRA worked on the industrial codes; all participating businesses displayed a blue eagle, a sign of patriotism as well as acceptance of the program (source). Obama's Failure to Stimulate

Ruberry has a killer post today. He highlights Obama's lack of real leadership skills, notes that polling finds a hell of a lot of Americans are disenchanted with the One, and that Doctor Changelove is not really the messiah after all. It is perhaps appropriate, at this point, to wish a happy 98th birthday to the late President Ronald W. Reagan. Compared to him, Obama is but a neophyte. Obama won the presidency by a large but not overwhelming majority. Over the last two years, Obama has been sounding the drum of "Change...change...change," without specifics. Now is the time for specificity, and Obama doesn't know what to do--except "something." So he farmed out his stimulus plan to the House Appropriations Committee, who packed the bill with items from liberal wish-list compiled since Lyndon Johnson left the White House. Joe Moore Laughfest Continues

John Ruberry goes after Chicago Alderman Joe Moore (49th Ward) in a scathing post today. His angle: The recent, ridiculous naming of Moore as "Most Valuable Local Official" by The Nation magazine. The Blago Enablers: Part One by Marathon Pundit

John Ruberry does it again, poking fingers in the eyes of local politicians. He does that everyday at his blog, Marathon Pundit, and today he begins a post titled "Punishing the Blago enablers, part one: Jan Schakowksy." Nice and blunt, that's John. Rubery notes that his "congresscritter" is Jan Schakowsky (D-Evanston), who "has made it clear that if there is a special election to fill Barack Obama's US Senate seat, she will run. Politically, she resides on the far-Left of the political sphere, somewhere between Obama and Bill Ayers.To my knowledge, Schakowsky, until last week, never denounced Blago. As noted here previously, Illinois Democrats are working overtime to convince you that they are not corrupt, that they were shocked (shocked!) by the Blagojevich Revelations, and that they will fix everything. AGAIN! OBAMA GOONS ATTACK WGN RADIO

The "free speech Liberals" at Lord Barack Obama's Chicago headquarters AGAIN attacked free speech by targeting WGN 720 AM's Milt Rosenberg's radio show last night. This is the second time in about a month that they've done this. Free speech is nice, isn't it? Sure, but if you're an Obamamaniac it's only nice when your side is excercising it. Milt's guest was conservative writer David Freddoso, whose articles can be seen at Human Events, among other places. I caught the last 20 minutes of Milt's show last night and, at first, I thought they were replaying the August 28 show (see Obama Campaign Orchestrating Intimidation). Then I realized it was yet another assault on free speech by so-called Democrats. Friends, true Democrats don't act like that. By coincidence, good friend John Ruberry (Marathon Pundit) tuned in at about the same time, and today John posts this: Obama goons attack free speech on Milt Rosenberg's show, AGAIN! Last week, I purchased David Freddoso's "The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate." I'm about one-third into it, the books is well-written and well-researched, and truthful. Which is why the Obama campaign has its undies in a bunch because Milt Rosenberg had the author on as his guest on his Extension 720 show on WGN-AM. You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing for Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton is doing yeoman's work on behalf of the Republicans by calling attention to Obama's long association - nay, friendship - with aging 60's radical terrorist William Ayers. Bloggers have been calling out Obama on this for a while, but Mizz Clinton pushed the subject into the forefront of public awareness. Last week former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers, an unrepentant former terrorist, spoke at the University of North Dakota. His next speaking appearance is on Chicago's South Side, at Shimer College, which is located within the campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Note to 49th Ward residents: It's no wonder, with radical terrorist friends like Bill Ayers and buddies like Tony Rezko, that Barack Obama is heavily supported by the likes of David Fagus, Joe Moore, Jan Schakowsky, and the usual gang of criminals. Schakking Up With Jan and Joe

The Bench has been telling you this for, uhm, about a year now. What wicked webs they weave. John at Marathon Pundit writes: Schakowsky maneuvering for Obama's Senate seat I have the misfortune of having one of the most liberal members of Congress, Jan Schakowsky of Evanston, representing me (sort of) in Washington. She's one of the loons who wants to reinstate the absurdly named Fairness Doctrine, which would effectively shut down talk radio--and individuals like Rush Limbaugh--who criticize her type. Yes, and here in the 49th Ward of Chicago we have the misfortune of having one of the goofiest and least effective aldermen, who has a long and cozy relationship with Schakowsky. Schakowsky's coveting of Obama's Senate seat been street talk in Rogers Park about a year. And guess what: 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore wants Schakowsky's Congressional seat. John continues: Her husband, Robert Creamer, spent five months in federal prison two years ago after pleading guilty to kiting checks while he was the executive director of the goody-goody consumer advocacy group, the Illinois Public Action Council. Although she was not accused of any wrongdoing, Schakowsky served on the organization's board of directors was while hubby was acting the official kite runner. Alderman Moore was - still is - good friends with felon Creamer. Indeed, the Moore Schakowsky Axis is one of the most intriguing political relationships out there. Schakowsky, a very powerful member of Congress, has given disproportionate amounts of financial, moral and consulting support to Moore, a little alderman. Both are members of the DNC. Moore is rumored by people in the know to have engaged in check kiting with Creamer. There is a lot of stink around most of the characters who cling to both Schakowsky and Moore. Creamer was a guest at the recent victory party of Heather Steans, where she was surrounded by Todd Stroger sycophant David Fagus, and Joe Moore toadie Jim Ginderske and Jim's very own toadie Tom Westgard.
