Child Molesters Must Be Treated Like Rabid Dogs

Child rapists should be executed. Period. Kill them. They are worse than murderers. The dead suffer no longer, their pain ends and they cannot continue on to kill more people.

Molest a child, however, and their life is hell, and a high number of them become molesters themselves (see below). Even those who do not become molesters - and that's the majority of them, I should point out - suffer horribly and are plagued by a long list of pychological problems for the rest of their lives.

An analogy: A rapid dog can spread rabies by biting other animals. The rabid dog cannot control its actions, and it is not Fido's fault that he has rabies. That doesn't change the fact that Fido is dangerous, and even after he is shot dead the some of the animals that he has already bitten may already be spreading the disease. Pedophiles who molest children are like that. Their uncontrollable urges may not be "their fault," but that does not change the fact that they are a serious menace.

Pedophiles are like rabid dogs

The Baltimore Sun had an interesting article on July 18 which quotes James Cantor of the University of Toronto, who studies sexual behavior and abuse. "No one has been able to find a way to change pedophiles into nonpedophiles," the Sun quotes him as saying, "but that doesn't mean we cannot prevent child molestation."

Granted, complete prevention is probably impossible. But a significant reduction of the frequency of child molestation could be achieved by removing the molesters themselves. Once identified and convicted, kill them. I guarantee you that no killer that was put do death has ever killed again.

The same reality applies to those who rape children, but consider this: The evil of even an executed child raper continues on forever. If he (or she) molested half a dozen kids, one or two of them may go on to be molesters and might molest at least half a dozen themselves. Then, some of those victims become perpetrators, and the numbers keep growing. The murder victims, on the other hand, lay harmless in the ground.

It is important to note that not all children who are molested become molesters. But it's a high percentage. "Male perpetrators of child sexual abuse were more likely to have been abused as children than male subjects who were not perpetrators," according to a study by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in London, U.K.  "35% of male perpetrators of sexual abuse had been victims of such abuse, while 11% of males who had not perpetrated abuse had been victims of child sexual abuse."

"In many cases, child sex abusers suffer from traumatic experiences during their childhood," note writers Michael Cochran & Meghan Cole at Neuroanthropology. "More specifically, pedophiles tend to also have been molested as children. As children, they lacked the ability to control the situation. By sexually assaulting children, pedophiles attempt to re-live the trauma they experienced and they learn how to master it. A complete role reversal gives them the upper hand and prevents them from being victimized. Overall, through the impact of cerebral dysfunction and traumatic development, the sexual urges and desires for children can become ingrained within a person’s nervous system."  "Ingrained within a person's nervous system," they said. Just like rabies.

March 15, 2012 - Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich settles into a federal prison near Denver, Colorado today. It made me think about his new digs in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. He'll be a guest at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood in Littleton, Colorado. Naturally, this made a John Denver song came to my mind.

Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams
Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake

The full lyrics are below, and some of them are weirdly appropriate for Blago's plight. "While there are views of the Rocky Mountains and a golf course from the compound," reports 9-News KUSA-TV, "former prisoner[s] have told Chicago reporters it only serves as a reminder of things that can't be enjoyed behind bars." That sounds like complaining that the glass is half empty. The fact remains that the inmates can see the mountains. It's a great view.

Perhaps this will be good for  "Inmate No. 40892-424," as he will be officially known. Maybe it will do him some good to get away from those who enabled him to commit his crimes.  Time in the big house, and a lot of fresh mountain air, just might cleanse Blago's  soul. I can't say for certain, of course.

All I know do know is that I've been waiting years for an excuse to include a John Denver song in a blog post, and although Blago's relocation to Colorado is a really flimsy reason to do, I'm taking the opportunity. (Now, if I can just get that danged song outa my head....)

They Keep Shooting In Chicago (Because Liberals Let Them)

The Chicago Sun-Times has a must-read article in their July 24 issue. It is the story, as staft reporters Mark J. Konkol and Frank Main write, "of why they won’t stop shooting in Chicago." Konkol and Main deserve both credit and criticism for their article. Credit, of course, for reporting well on that which they did include in the story. Criticism, also, for what they did not include. The essence of the story is that the criminals have little incentive to stop, and Konkol and Main go right into the fact that the criminal justice system is soft on the criminals. What they omit, and shamefully, is why the justice system is so lax. Here's a clue: You will not find these words anywhere in the article: ACLU, liberals, leftists, legislators, judges. Inasmuch as those are five of the primary reasons that criminals get off so lightly, it is profoundly troubling that they were not mentioned at all. An excerpt from the article: It’s told by the wounded, the accused and the officers who were on the street during a weekend in April 2008 when 40 people were shot, seven fatally. Two years later, the grim reality is this: Nearly all of the shooters from that weekend have escaped charges. “You don’t go to jail for shooting people,” says Dontae Gamble, who took six bullets that weekend, only to see his alleged shooter walk free. “That’s why m------------- think they can get back on the streets and kill again. You feel me?” So far, not one accused shooter has been convicted of pulling the trigger during those deadly 59 hours from April 18-20 of that year, a Chicago Sun-Times investigation has found. Shame on the two reporters and their editors for leaving out such critical parts of the story. They vaguely alluded to the problem, but just couldn't bring themselves to cite those who are to blame for the system's failures: “The certainty of punishment is very, very low in Chicago, and that’s going to embolden people,” said defense attorney Thomas Needham, who was a top legal adviser to former police Supt. Terry Hillard. “It’s going to lead to less fear by the people who are going to consider shooting. That’s very alarming.” The next time you hear any politician in Chicago or Springfield claim to be tough on crime, laugh bitterly and say, "You must be shitting me," immediately followed up with "What have you done to ensure the conviction of violent criminals?" You might also ask them when Governor George Ryan's moratorium on the death penalty will be trashed. Then you quickly remember that these are people who were photographed by the police for (allegedly) doing stupid things. Limited intelligence and tatoos often go together. New Video of John McCain With Felon Fundraiser

Hayworth is running against McCain in Arizona's Republican primary election for U.S. Senate. The Tucson Citizen writes: Sen. John McCain is caught on tape at two Florida fundraisers hosted by a convicted felon – who will spend the rest of his life in prison for a Ponzi scheme that helped finance McCain’s 2008 Presidential campaign – who raised more money for McCain than anyone else – and who McCain now says he “can’t pick out of a lineup.” The Hayworth campaign wrote this on their YouTube site: Scott Rothstein was Sen. John McCain's #1 Fundraiser for his presidential campaign who used campaign finance loopholes to bundle more than $1.1 million dollars. As it turns out, most, if not all of that money, came from investors who Rothstein swindled out of billions of dollars in an elaborate Ponzi scheme, much like Bernie Madoff. Despite his close ties to Rothstein, Senator John McCain's spokesman said that McCain "couldn't pick [Rothstein] out of a line up." These never before seen home tapes tell a different story.

Giannoulias, Obama and The Mob

Pay attention, people. Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias has a sordid past. Even Scott Lee Cohen recently said that Giannoulias has a many more skeletons in his closet than he does, yet the Democrat Party has not asked him to quit the race for U.S. Senate. That's the same Illinois Democrat Party, by the way, that forced Cohen out of the Lt. Governor's race because.... uhm, were still not sure why.

Via his family's deeply troubled Broadway Bank in Chicago, Giannoulias has connections to mobsters and alleged mobsters, including Tony Rezko, Michael "Jaws" Giorango, and Boston Blackie's owne Nick Giannis.

In an April 2 post titled "The Obama-Giannoulias-Mob Connection," we get a good synopsis of the Giannoulias cesspool of corruption and vile connections. Excerpts from TakingSides.com (emphasis added):

For years there have been under-reported connections between organized crime, Illinois Senate Candidate Alexi Giannoulias and President Barack Obama. But it has just gotten tougher for the president’s main stream media accomplices to keep under reporting and Mr. Giannoulias may be the next Jeremiah Wright or Bill Ayers for the administration.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the bank owned by the Giannoulias family loaned a pair of Chicago crime figures about $20 million during a 14-month period when Giannoulias was a senior loan officer. Broadway Bank had already lent millions to Michael Giorango when he and a new business partner, Demitri Stavropoulos, came to the bank in mid-2004. Although both men were preparing to serve federal prison terms, the bank embarked on a series of loans to them.

Like many of us in late 2008, Ross Kaminsky tried to warn the nation about both Giannoulias and Obama (you did not listen then, perhaps you'll listen now). Kamisky's August 2008 post "Is Alexi Giannoulias Obama's next 'not the man I knew'?" brings attention to the close Obama-Giannoulias relationship, which is much deeper than their well-known basketball-based friendship. Excerpts Kaminsky's post at politicswest.com (Denver Post) (emphasis added):

Giannoulias also hosted a fund-raiser for Obama in Chicago in September, 2007, omitting it from his public schedule and keeping it closed to the press. Could it be that Obama didn’t want the press asking questions about a New York Post article published that same morning entitled “Obama's Mob-Tie $idekick”? ....Obama endorsed Giannoulias for State Treasurer when the latter was just 29 years old, but the NY Post reported that “Giannoulias is so tainted by reputed mob links that several top Illinois Dems, including the state's speaker of the House and party chairman, refused to endorse him even after he won the Democratic nomination with Obama's help.” Obama remained a big supporter and is credited with having been an important factor in Giannoulias’s victory....

Kaminsky closed that post with this:

The close association of Obama with a man who seems clearly to be involved in some shady deals with convicted criminals is yet another example of questionable judgment at best and typical dirty Chicago politics at worst. I wonder if Giannoulias will turn out to be the next in Obama’s never-ending series of “He’s not the man I knew”.  You know, like Obama did with Jeremiah Wright.

Now here we are, in April of 2010, asking the same question about Obama possibly abandoning the tainted Giannoulias.

Add another, more current question: Will the Democrat Party of Illinois wake up and smell the stench, and ask him to step down? Perhaps, for now, but considering the stench of corruption that engulfs the states' Democrats, that may only be wishful thinking.

Activists Whine About Criminals With Children

Many people who are locked up in jails and prisons are parents. Their innocent children are often left behind, victims of the misdeeds of their parents. Those kids are sometimes taken care of by the parent who is not locked up, or by relatives. Photo: T.H.Mannis In some cases, the children have nowhere to go and so become wards of the state. In any case, the children suffer, but whose fault is that? Is it socieity's fault? Before you answer, remember that "society" is you and your own family, your friends, your neighbors, and everybody else. Or is it the fault of the criminal who happens to be a parent? Here's my own suggestion: Any parent who is convicted of any crime should then be charged with child endangerment and neglect. A parent can be charged with neglect for leaving a young child unattended at home for a few hours, so why shouldn't they be also charged with at least the same for committing acts that would deny their children the benefit of having a full family unit to care for them? There are, of course, bleeding hearts who think that you and I (society) should be responsible for the fate of their families, and that sentencing should be lighter for criminals who have children. See the media release below, from the Community Renewal Society. Notice the phrase "These invisible victims of the criminal justice system have committed no crime and are left without support, stability or care due to a parent's misdeed or mistake," especially the part that says "misdeed or mistake." Words are important, and referring to crimes as "misdeeds" and "mistakes" makes them sound less serious than they really are. The group is also demanding the "restructuring family visitation procedures, inmate sentencing processes and funding for family transportation to visit incarcerated parents." Notice the phrase "inmate sentencing processes," which can only mean lighter sentences for criminals who have children. It is not society's fault that the criminals committed crimes without regard for their children's future. It is also not our fault that those criminals had children to begin with, and society should not have to face heightened risk by releasing dangerous elements back onto the streets, simply to be able to go back to the innocent children for whom they showed utter disregard for in the first place. So writes my nominee for Man of the Year, James O'Keefe. With his partner Hannah Giles (my nominee for Woman of the Year), they released their fifth ACORN-crushing video today. Once again, it is shocking to see ACORN personnel approving of heinous illegal activity - and offering advice on how to be a better criminal. This offers yet more indisputable proof that there is a pattern of systemic criminality inside of ACORN. No wonder, then, that the US House of Representatives today voted to completely defund ACORN of any federal money. O'Keefe and Giles are not finished with ACORN, not yet. Census Drops Criminal Group ACORN

The criminal organization ACORN, which has long and close ties to Barack Obama, has been shunned by the U.S. Census Bureau. ACORN was slated to help the Census Bureau until today, but there were already more than enough reasons to disassociate the federal government from ACORN, which receives millions of our taxpayer dollars annually for "community organizing" work. THE FINAL STRAW, however, was the shocking video tape of two ACORN workers giving advice on a hidden camera to people posing as a pimp and a prostitute. The ACORN women advised them how to conceal underaged, illegally imported girls for prostitution, how to cheat on taxes, and more. The Democrat Party has empowered this den of weasels for far too long. Perhaps they are finally about to be broken. Politico reports: ACORN's incredibly sloppy voter registration operation got it repeatedly into hot water last fall.... The latest ACORN expose, in which a conservative producer and his partner got two ACORN employees to give him advice on running his prostitution business and evading taxes with their underage Latin American prostitutes (really) has dealt the organization a final blow as far as the Obama administration is concerned: The Census has chosen to stop working with the group, with Census Director Robert Groves writing ACORN President Maude Hurd that public "concern" about the group has become "a distraction from our mission" and that recent events -- an apparent reference to the expose -- has "added to worsening negative perceptions of ACORN." Is ACORN Intentionally Structured As a Criminal Enterprise?

Some of you will be shocked by this report. Others of you will say, "Well, this is really no surprise." Here is the full, still-hot "Staff Report to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform" (PDF, 88 pages) by the committee's ranking member, Darrell Issa (CA-49). Here is a brief excerpt from the Executive Summary of the 88-page document: Operationally, ACORN is a shell game played in 120 cities, 43 states and the District of Columbia through a complex structure designed to conceal illegal activities, to use taxpayer and tax-exempt dollars for partisan political purposes, and to distract investigators. Convicted Felon Attacks Opponents of Obamacare

Robert Creamer is a convicted felon and the husband of Congressman Jan Schakowsky. Robert and Jan live in Evanston, a nice suburb immediately north of Chicago on the shores of Lake Michigan. Creamer has a column at The Huffington Post, and his August 3 post is all about supporting Barack Obama's government run health care. There are so many darkly amusing aspects to this that it's hard to know where to begin. Not surprisingly, there is no mention of Creamer's federal fraud convictions in his bio at Huffington Post. It is noted there, however, that "Arianna Huffington calls his recent book, Stand Up Straight: How Progressives Can Win, a master’s class in electoral politics." Arianna makes no mention of the use of lies, deception and criminal fraud as tactics in Creamer's electoral politics. Creamer accuses opponents of Obama's health care offensive of using mob tactics, and he unwittingly exposes himself as a cheap propagandist. He wrote the following (emphasis added): So, like the local mob boss, they will be pulling out all the stops in August to terrorize members of Congress and sow fear and confusion about the Obama Health Insurance Reform plan. They will run ads. They will make copious political contributions. They will provide ammunition to the right-wing talk show hosts. They will do everything in their power to stop the Obama plan dead in its tracks, because they know that once people have a new health insurance system, there will be no going back. That paragraph deserves some analysis. On Planet Democrat, the world that Robert Creamer dwell in, it is considered terrorism when people write to or phone members of Congress to voice opposition to whatever it is that he and fellow Democrats support. Honest political discussion and asking questions is classified as sowing fear and confusion. Excercising the right of free speech by running ads is, in Creamer's world, a bad thing but only if your message is conservative. On Planet Democrat, conservative talk show hosts are dismissively referred to as "right-wing talk show hosts," but liberal talk show hosts are simply "talk show hosts." Creamer has admitted one the great fears of a majority of Americans when it comes to Obama's health care machinations: There will be no going back if it becomes law. Whether it works or not, there will be no going back. In the twisted criminal mind of Robert Creamer, it's just fine for Democrats and supporters of Obama's health care "reform" to lobby members of Congress, it's cool to spend huge amounts of money on ad campaigns supporting it, it's okay to provide talking points to liberal talk show hosts and other liberal media creatures, and it's perfectly acceptable to run expensive, pro-reform national television ads featuring "Harry and Louise." And would Creamer call John Stossel a terrorist for this ABC News report? Creamer is an experienced and well-paid political consultant. His firm, Strategic Consulting Group (SCG), specializes in many of the tactics that he criticizes conservatives for. Creamer, in his Huffington Post column, criticized conservatives because "They will run ads. They will make copious political contributions. They will provide ammunition to the right-wing talk show hosts." Yet his own website brags that they will do exactly the same thing for his high-paying political clients. Auntie Zeituni, Above the Law

So, Obama's illegal alien auntie gets special treatment by the legal systems. She's been living in the U.S. illegally for years, and was told to get out years ago. On Wednesday, April 1, she avoided deportation after a brief hearing in a Boston courthouse. Zeituni Onyango (pronounced "i(l)-ˈlē-gəl \ˈā-lē-ən") is still here. At age 56, she has been given another ten months to prepare for a new "asylum bid." Onyango is a half-sister of Obama's deceased father. She is mentioned in Obama's book, “Dreams from My Father." Fox News reported that "The judge pushed back her case until next February [2010] because of his packed schedule. Onyango, who is a Kenyan citizen, wore a curly red wig, fur coat and sunglasses to the hearing. The president has said that laws covering her situation should be followed." Incredibly, Usurper in Chief Barack Obama has said he was unaware of her immigration issues (source). That is most likely a lie, according to a November 2008 article in The American Spectator (emphasis added): Some Obama aides believe that Obama was briefed at least twice by [David] Axelrod or campaign manager David Plouffe on the status of family members. "We tracked who was talking to the press, we kept in touch with some of these people," says an Obama campaign media aide. "Anyone who thinks we didn't doesn't understand just how nervous we were about all of these people, particularly the members of [Obama's] father's family. Axelrod had everything covered." The aide said she was never present for such a briefing, but "we all knew the candidate's family was being taken care of, to protect their privacy and try to contain any damage." Full Article... "Auntie Zeituni" has been violating federal immigration laws, and has been in contempt of court, for years. Reuters explains: In 2001 she received a U.S. Social Security card after proving she was in the United States legally and the following year she sought political asylum due to violence in Kenya. She applied to live in a public housing project in Boston. A federal immigration judge rejected her asylum request in 2004, ordering her to leave the country. She remained in Boston. Groups called for the woman's arrest, but that didn't happen. (I thought we were a nation of laws. I thought we were all treated equally by those laws. In the United States, I've been told, nobody is above the law. Alas, we've been mislead.) Reuters has more: President Barack Obama's Kenyan aunt, who was ordered deported five years ago, can stay in the United States legally until next year when she makes a new asylum bid, an immigration judge ruled on Wednesday. The issue of her immigration status flared three days before Obama was elected the first African-American president in the November 4, 2008 election. His late father was from Kenya and his white mother, also deceased, was American. While she's in the country, Auntie Illegal Alien continues to suck our tax dollars. She lives in a South Boston housing project (tax dollars) and takes public aid (tax dollars). You don't live in Boston? Don't kid yourself, Kansas, Iowa, Texas and the rest of you, a lot of federal money goes into those welfare programs, and that money comes out of your wallets too. The Obama's earn over $600,000 per year from salaries and books. Can't they at least pay his aunt's rent, so she can get out of public housing, while she stalls, delays and avoids a legal deportation order? ROGERS PARK, CHICAGO - January 23 - What a mess in Chicago's 24th Police District and the 49th Aldermanic Ward. David Sobczyk, 24th Dist. Commander recently admitted that it is policy to allow gangsters to make "shrines" to murdered gang members. Community activists were outraged when this was learned, which set some local bloggers (including this one) to post against the practice. The "shrines" often deface public or private property, sometimes both. Building a shrine to memorialize a dead gang member involves dumping items such as cheap teddy bears, mylar balloons, votive candles, bottles of liquor and trinkets on the public way. Often, gang graffiti is sprayed on any nearby walls and the sidewalk. To make matters worse, Sobczyk subtly chides the concerned citizens for being insensitive, and calls the grotesque practice "universal." Genson defended Conrad Black (who was convicted) and others. Blago met with Genson for about four hours on Saturday. GET THIS: Genson played a part in the fallout of former Gov. George Ryan's legal problems a few years ago as chief counsel for lobbyist Larry Warner, a friend and co-defendant of Ryan. Late last week, former Gov. James R. Thompson read an "apology" from Ryan (too little, too late, pal). Thompson was the head of Winston & Strawn law firm, to which Blago owes beaucoup bucks. (Does Genson know that Blago already owes more than half a million bucks to lawyers for past services?) Blagojevich met for four hours with renowned Chicago criminal lawyer Ed Genson on Saturday, and a newspaper report said the embattled governor may decide as early as Monday whether he should resign. Blago: "Vengeful and profane"

Before he was arrested yesterday, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (Democrat) was well liked by something around 13 percent of Illinois voters. That's less than half the ratings for Pres. Bush, but still much higher than the ratings of Congress as a whole. The sad, weird, tragic yet sadistically funny events of Blago Tuesday have probably since lowered his favorability ratings to somewhere in the single digits. There are always die-hard supporters; even serial get offers of marriage while they're behind bars, and people still buy Michael Jackson albums. Even Michael Jackson, however, was never caught on tape calling colleagues motherf#@%ers, as Blagojevich was. Hearing Blago use nasty language was apparently shocking to many, perhaps especially to those not old enough to remember the raw Nixon Tapes, which were aired on network television uncensored. Nixon could swear like a sailor, but he pales in comparison to Blago the Foul. Yes, Blago was once the Golden Boy of the Illinois Democrats. But, as Susan Saulny explains in the International Herald Tribune, "Tuesday changed all that." Indeed. It was not simply the extortion and venality with which he was charged that left mouths gaping, but the ruthlessness and grandiosity revealed in the federal wiretap transcripts, even as he knew he was being investigated...Whatever his current motivation, he came into office with a very different persona. As a young congressman representing the North Side of Chicago, Blagojevich was pegged as a rising star with a populist touch. Undistinguished as a lawmaker but with proven likability in and out of Chicago, he seemed hellbent on pushing reform and cleaning house in a state with an embarrassingly overt culture of political corruption. Full Article... Hmmm. He was a "rising star with a populist touch," eh? Isn't every Democrat billed as having a "populist touch" these days? Hmmm. "Undistinguished as a lawmaker," she says? Remember, she's talking about Blagojevich, not Barackobamavich, who was also a "rising star" with a "populist touch" who was/is, nevertheless, "undistinguished as a lawmaker." Let us not get off point, however. Saulny's article is poignant and important. It's about politicians who present a kind face while running for office, but take their masks off, sooner or later, after they get into office. It all brings to mind an old Who song. You remember the lyrics, perhaps: "I get on my knees and pray we don't get fooled again....Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

Blagojevich and his chief of staff John Harris were arrested just after 6:00 a.m. in Chicago today. One of the charges is that he tried to extort the Chicago Tribune to fire a top editor. ...Blagojevich, along with chief of staff John Harris, also tried exerting their influence over the Tribune Company, pressuring executives to fire members of the Chicago Tribune’s editorial board, who were considered too critical of the Governor.
