Obama Calls Himself a Dictator. Or King. Or Emperor.

November 18, 2014 - Barack Obama once said that preventing deportation of illegal immigrants without the involvement of Congress would be dictatorial. Western Journalism's Norvell Rose notes that even Obama's natural allies in the liberal media are serving up scathing criticism of his tendencies to act more like a king than president.

Dictator Obama, Heir to Stalin
Obama, heir to Stalin
Rose wrote that the New York Times "aptly points out" Obama has said on multiple occasions that acting on his own to curb the deportation of millions of illegals without an act of Congress "would amount to nothing less than the dictates of a king, not a president."

A better analogy might be that Obama's penchant for acting without the peoples' elected representatives in Congress amounts more closely to the dictates of a despotic tyrant. There have been, after all, kings who have been more cooperative with their parliaments or congresses than Obama has been.

WJ's Rose gives us three examples from the NYT piece, "Using Executive Order on Immigration, Obama Would Reverse Long-Held Stance" of  "Obama’s own, very clear and specific words to explain that a president cannot simply move forward on this kind of domestic front without congressional authority," and they are damning:

  • In a Telemundo interview in September 2013, Mr. Obama said…I’ll be ignoring the law in a way that I think would be very difficult to defend legally,” Mr. Obama told Jose Diaz-Balart in the interview. “So that’s not an option.”
  • …during a Google Hangout in February 2013…“This is something that I have struggled with throughout my presidency,” Mr. Obama said. “The problem is, is that I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed.”
  • In an immigration speech in San Francisco last November…Mr. Obama…insisted that only Congress had the authority to do what they [immigration protestors] wanted. “The easy way out is to try to yell and pretend like I can do something by violating our laws,” he said.

The NYT is not the only leftist newspaper of note to sling Obama's words back at him. Two editorials in The Washington Post point out Obama's hypocrisy and willingness to sabotage democracy: "In Mr. Obama’s own words, acting alone is ‘not how our democracy functions" on November 17, and from August 5, "Frustration over stalled immigration action doesn’t mean Obama can act unilaterally."

January 29, 2014 - Barack Obama revealed his elitist tendencies last night in his State of the Union address. By promising to make law single-handedly, without involving Congress, Obama has essentially declared that he will goose-step over the legislative process and rule by decree.

Obama vowed to use executive orders to go around the wishes of voters and their elected representatives in Congress to achieve goals that have so far eluded him. Obama specifically promised to sign an executive order that would raise the minimum wage for some Americans by requiring federal contractors to pay their employees at least $10.10 per hour.

Urging a “year of action,” he pitched what he called “concrete, practical proposals” to boost the middle class and build “new ladders of opportunity” for others to enter it. “Some require congressional action, and I’m eager to work with all of you,” Obama said. “But America does not stand still – and neither will I.  So wherever and whenever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families, that’s what I’m going to do.” ~ Fox News

Republicans Threaten To Impeach Obama Over Executive Order On Guns

Jan. 15, 2013 - Prominent Republicans are saying that they would move to impeach Barack Obama if he uses executive orders to limit access to firearms. The White House will announce its plan of action on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 11:45 ET. Obama will reveal "concrete proposals" to limit our Second Amendment rights, including a ban on "assault weapons" and ways to "strengthen" background checks for gun buyers.

The White House has 19 executive actions that it says are ready for Obama to implement. Such action by Obama would be unilateral. That is, it would be the Executive branch of federal government bypassing the Legislative branch (Congress) to unilaterally make law.

"The president is also expected to outline 19 executive actions that he can unilaterally take, according to Capitol Hill Democrats briefed on his plan," reports The Hill. "Those executive actions are likely to include more aggressive enforcement of existing gun laws, increasing federal research on gun violence and stronger prosecutions of those who lie on gun background checks.‬"

Biden: Obama Could Use Executive Order for Gun Control

Der Fuhrer Barack Obama
Jan. 9, 2013 - "The president is going to act," Biden said to reporters before he met with gun violence victims and gun control advocate. "There are executives orders," said Biden, "there's executive action that can be taken."

Biden added, "We haven't decided what that is yet. But we're compiling it all with the help of the attorney general and the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action that we believe is required."

In other words, the Obama Regime will do as it damned pleases, legislative action be damned, representative government be damned, the Constitution be damned. The Imperial Presidency further advances itself.

Bastille Day, The Beginning of Great Tragedy

July 14, 2012 - Today is Bastille Day, which marks the beginning of the French Revolution in 1789. You may hear a few ignorant people wish you a "Happy Bastille Day" today. Smile and know that they have no idea how tragic Bastille Day and all of that followed really was.

Unlike the American Revolution, the French Revolution led to hideous terror and mass slaughter, ultimately leading to dictatorships and finally to a France that is drowning in socialist debt. People died in the American Colonies's fight against England for independence, but a few years later (in 1793), the French emulated our revolution and made killing their own citizens a national sport.

"A real civil war took place in the French countryside, between the Vendeen and the republican guards. From March to September 1793, more than 100,000 people died from this opposition," Bastille-day.com reminds us.

That was just the beginning of "The Terror," and there is no analog to it in the history of the American Revolution. The Terror continued: After September, 1793 it spread all over France. "This was a cruel period when France was killing its people by hundreds in a frightening movement of rage and decadence. People were arrested and executed without trial if they were accused of being enemies of the revolution. It is estimated that about 40,000 people died during this 15 month period. Marie Antoinette, wife of Louis XVI, was beheaded in October, 1793. But that was merely the opening act....

"One of the darkest periods in French history soon ensued," says Bastille-day.com. "The Great Terror began in June 1794....Thousands of people who were suspected to be anti-revolutionists were executed savagely. A campaign of dechristianization took place all over the country....On May 8th, 1794 the Assembly introduced the "Culte de l'Être Supreme" (The cult of Supreme Being), as form of deism. On June 8th, 1794 Robespierre, the President of the Convention, participated in the "Fête de l'Etre Supreme" (Supreme Being celebration) in Paris."

There is a lot more than this simplified summary, of course. Napolean Bonaparte would eventually become the self-declared Emperor of the French in on December 2, 1804. (Isn't it funny that the French celebrate Bastille Day on July 14 but have no big fireworks shows on December 2?)

The bottom line: The French Revolution was an anti-Christian, anti-Establishment, barbaric orgy of class warfare that led to a brutal central government. While the French Revolution was slumping toward military dictatorship in 1800, it was an election year in the new United States of America.

The difference, I need not say, is stunning. Those who glorify the French Revolution have no idea what it was about or the tragedy it caused. (More about the anti-God savagery and the creation of a France dedicated to total warfare can be read at kwintessential.co.uk.)

Happy Bastille Day? There is very little about it that was happy, actually.

Fighting Madigan's Iron-Grip of the IL Legislature

John Bambenek - Photo: Chicago News Bench
John Bambenek - Chicago News Bench
The following is an important message about the Put-Back Amendment in Illinois. It's from John Bambenek, a conservative activist extraordinaire.

I'd like to note (and I'm sure John won't mind) that although he addresses it to "Fellow Republicans," this message is also meant for anybody in Illinois who is sick and tired of the same old corrupt Machine bosses running the show. Libertarians, independents and, yes, even many Democrats are weary of the iron-grip control.

The shameful way in which Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan and his accomplice Pat Quinn recently forced a duly elected primary election winner of off the Lt. Governor ticket is just one of many examples of how Madigan and the Machine put their own interests ahead of the People's will.

Whether you love or hate Scott Lee Cohen, he was elected legally by the People. For Madigan to decide, a la Big Brother, that the voters made the wrong decision is, to put it simply, dictatorship.
Fellow Republicans: Now that the primary election is over, we turn our sights towards the Democrats and ending their destructive reign over the State of Illinois. Of these, none is more dangerous and powerful than House Speaker Michael Madigan.
As we all know, he wields complete control over the Illinois General Assembly. Whatever law he does not want considered is dead on arrival. All important legislation he does in a back room free from scrutiny. This needs to end. That is why the Put-Back Amendment was conceived. Despite the fact that over 99% of Illinois citizens do not, nor cannot vote for Mike Madigan, he is in complete control.
We send 177 legislators to Springfield for a reason, so each corner of this state can be represented. It is time to end his iron-grip control. The Put-Back Amendment enacts term-limits of 8 years for Legislators so lifetime Chicago politicians cannot wield power for decades. It ends gerrymandering so Madigan can no longer have complete control over legislative maps. It requires all legislation be public for 7-day before a final vote and that 25 legislators can force a vote on any bill, including reform legislation Mike Madigan doesn't favor.
Imagine Republican legislators forcing spending caps, tax cuts, and transparency for a vote in Springfield. Put-Back does all of this and more. The Put-Back Amendment has been endorsed by prominent Republicans across the state including: Jim Oberweis, Adam Andrzejewski, Dan Proft, Bobby Schilling and many more.
To get this amendment passed, we need 500,000 signatures and that is where you come in. We need people all across Illinois to collect signatures by April 1st so that we can place this on the ballot. Chicago politicians cannot stop this. If we get the signatures, this WILL be on the ballot in November. If the voters say yes, it becomes law. You can download petitions and instructions here.
Together we can bring Mike Madigan's reign to an end. Please join me in supporting the Put-Back Amendment. If you are able, consider making a donation of $100, $50, or $25 to the campaign to bring REAL REFORM to Springfield. [Editor's Note: See below for info about donating.]
Thank you, John Bambenek  — February 9, 2010
P.S. Many of you may have heard of another amendment called the Fair Map Amendment. That amendment is unconstitutional and will be thrown off the ballot as soon as it is filed. Don't be fooled, the only real reform amendment is the Put-Back Amendment.
IMPORTANT: Petitions need to be sent back to the address at the bottom of the form by April 1, 2010 so they can be filed on time! Listen to this recent interview with the author of the Put-Back Amendment that lays out the entire amendment.

You can help! Download flyers and petitions here for the amendment. NOTE: Be sure to download the petition for your city or county from the list. Here is a copy of the full-text of the amendment in PDF form (please have this with you when you circulate petitions).

Huge Protests Rage Today in Iran (Nov. 4)

123Today, the Persian people are fighting for their rights - and their lives - in Iran, coincidentally on the 30th anniversary of the siege of the US Embassy in Tehran (thanks in large part to Pres. Jimmy Carter). The people of Iran are not giving up - are you paying attention, Tea Partiers?
The Mullahs and Ahmadi-Nejad have underestimated the will of the Iranian people. This is because they assume that they can fully control the people of Iran. But Iran exists far beyond her borders. The true Iran is embraced by the American people; the true Iran is embraced by the French, the Swiss, the Canadians and even the British. Just as the Iranians demonstrated in the streets of Iran/Tehran to show their solidarity after September 11th, we, Planet Iran, an untouchable number of people are giving tireless support to the people in Iran during their quest for freedom.(Source: Planet Iran)
123This video shows protesters begging Obama to help them. They chant "Obama, Obama, either with them or us." So far, Obama has wimped out in showing any real support for their fight against tyranny.

The Democrats Are Afraid (You Should Be Too)

It seems obvious now that Barack Obama and his Democrat allies in Congress will not make the August deadline for passage of a government-run health care plan. They're afraid not only that this is a fait accompli, but have a long-term fear that it won't pass in the fall, either. You, too, should be afraid, but not of the government-run health care plan failing. Rather, you should be afraid of the way in which the Democrats are censoring the Republicans' speech and emails. Connie Hair wrote about this for Human Events on July 24: Rep. John Carter (R-Texas), the secretary of the House Republican Conference and a former District Court Judge, is having his messages to constituents censored by Democrats on the Franking Commission. Republicans are no longer allowed to use the words "government run health care" in the communications to their constituents. I'll be damned if I'm going to stop calling it "government-run health care plan," a phrase that is entirely accurate but scares the bejeezus out of the Democrats and the White House. Why? Because it gives the American people the correct impression that the proposed legislation (all 1,018 pages of the monster) will be run by - you guessed it - the government. That's exactly what has so many Americans turned off to the idea. After all, for decades we've seen how well the government runs the U.S. Postal Service and border security, and mismanages Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Amtrack, the Veterans Administration, and so on. In their typical Orwellian style, with a dash of Stalin and a pinch of Hitler, the Democrats are demanding that Republicans not use the phrase "government-run health care plan." The Human Events article referred to freedom of speech being crushed: “I would submit to you this is a free speech issue, guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States,” Carter said. A highly-placed Hill staff source tells Human Events this is the new policy being enforced by Democrats. Republicans will be forced to use the Democrats’ version of language describing their attempted government takeover of healthcare on their official communications with their constituents or they will have to pay for the postage personally. The notion of one party stepping on another's freedom of speech is frightening. It is more frightening in the long run, even, than the economic disasters being wrought daily by the Obama Regime. As bad and far reaching as those may be, we can probably recover from them eventually. However, as soon as one party silences it's only viable opposition, we will have a dictatorship. That would be much harder to recover from than even another Great Depression. "All propaganda must be popular and its intellectual level must be adjusted to the most limited intelligence among those it is addressed to. Consequently, the greater the mass it is intended to reach, the lower its purely intellectual level will have to be. But if, as in propaganda for sticking out a war, the aim is to influence a whole people, we must avoid excessive intellectual demands on our public, and too much caution cannot be extended in this direction." - Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, translated by Ralph Manheim. Obama Could Shut Down the Internet with Cybersecurity Act of 2009

Good news for Liberal Fascists and fans of totalitarianism. A bill was introduced last week by Sens. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) would allow Obama to order the Internet to be shut down: The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 would empower the National Institute of Standards and Technology to set "measurable and auditable" security standards for all networks and systems run by federal agencies, government contractors and businesses that support critical infrastructure services. The legislation would "enable the president to order that critical infrastructure networks be disconnected in the event of cybersecurity emergencies or for reasons of national security." (Computerworld.com) Computerworld notes, in second article today, that: The timing of two cybersecurity bills just introduced by Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) and Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) seems a bit funny. It is not so much that they were introduced on April Fools' Day; more importantly, they were introduced before the widespread review of U.S. cybersecurity ordered by President Obama is completed by Melissa Hathaway, acting senior director for cyberspace for the National Security and Homeland Security Councils. How convenient. Computerworld continues, noting that there are actually two pieces of legislation (S. 778 and S. 773) involved in all of this. It would seem to make more sense to wait and see what Hathaway thinks is broken before submitting bills to fix it. While I expect that the bills will be changed when Hathaway reports her findings in a few weeks, the current bills are interesting and have the potential to impact just about everyone in the network or network security business. The first bill (S 778) would establish an Office of National Cybersecurity Advisor within the Executive Office of the President. The second (S 773), which goes by the title of "The Cybersecurity Act of 2009," covers a grab bag of topics designed to "ensure the continued free flow of commerce within the United States and with its global trading partners through secure cyber communications", among other things. Just one little problem: The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 does not provide a good definition of what a critical network or system is. In other words, Obama could decide that some portion (or all) of the Internet is "critical" and then order it shut down. Wait, that's actually a big problem. Escapist Magazine provides link to the bill's text (PDF), as well as more information: "....the Cybersecurity Act that would create the Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor. Its powers are detailed in the The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 (PDF), and this is where it gets very scary indeed. If the President so chooses, he can call a "cybersecurity emergency" and shut down or limit any 'net traffic on a "critical" network "in the name of national security," though the bill fails to provide concrete definitions on what is "critical" or what constitutes an "emergency." Scary? Sure, unless you're still brain dead from Obama's two-plus years of hipmotizing the American Sheeple. If you're still thinking Obama is the Messiah, then you probably welcome this further step toward his total fascistic rule of Amerika. The news stories tell it all - almost: For example, today: In a display of political bravado, disgraced Gov. Rod Blagojevich today appointed former Illinois Atty. Gen. Roland Burris to the U.S. Senate, challenging national Democratic leaders to reject the appointment of an African-American to the seat that propelled Barack Obama to the White House.... The American Stalin Cometh

A shocking commentary by Sher Zieve, author, political commentator, Staff Writer and Program Director for The New Media Alliance (http://www.thenma.org/). Zieve's column, found on WebCommentary, is titled "Is the USA Ready for an American Stalin?"

There are two ways to answer that, I believe. First, "yes," because so many useful idiots are so foolishly eager to vote for Barack Obama. Second, "no," those useful idiots are not ready, but are so ignorant of political ideology and of modern history that they are eager to vote for Barack Obama. Hmmm, there's a third answer, too, which is "yes," for a few, because some people are knowingly eager to get a hard socialist regime in power in the US. None of those are happy answers.

Here is an excerpt from Zieve's commentary: Obama has long been an adherent of Marxism and—as well as having befriended and worked with Marxist terrorists William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn—one of his earliest mentors was Saul Alinsky; Marxist and the American founder of “community organizing” in Chicago. In his book “Rules for Radicals”—which he dedicated to Satan—Alinsky outlines how to create radicals and take over impoverished communities and then extend into the larger suburban areas by lulling the middle class into a false sense of comfort with the organizers’ ideas. Alinsky advises that by the time the “educated” middle class realizes the radicals were lying, it’s too late.

Note: After Obama is elected, all of his programs and people to keep him in power indefinitely—and to rid him of any and all opposition—will be firmly in place. You will not be able to vote him out of office. By the time he assumes the position of President of the United States it will already be too late. A democratic republic will last only so long as people of good will allow and fight for it. After they are gone—or removed—it is ended. Read the full article...

SCARY VIDEO: OBAMA'S YOUTH TROOPERS

THIS VIDEO SHOULD SCARE THE CRAP OUTA Y'ALL. It shows 8 or 9 young men marching into a room, chanting in unison about the magikal godlike powers that Barack Obama has, and how he will improve everybody's lives, especially their own. Ever see old Hitler Youth propaganda films? How about Communist Chinese People's Army films, or any other propaganda films from dictators about their youth corps? As the video's info blurb states, "Republicans don't have this kind of thing. Who are the real fascists? This is scary. This was taken at the Urban Community Leadership Academy, a charter school for students in fifth through ninth grades in Kansas City, Mo. The teacher has been suspended as of OCT. 5th, 2008."

Obama, Heir to Stalin

The policies of Barack Obama, as well as the practices of many of his staunchest supporters, has many very worried. One of those is Shawn D. Akers, who wrote a must-read column today for Canada Free Press.

Akers points out the dangers of the Obama cult of personality, the promise of heavy handed state control and thuggery by proxy - even the spectre of a soft dictatorship. Akers is the Director of Academic Support and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at Liberty University School of Law.

EXCERPT: Whatever else may be said, Mr. Obama’s personality cult campaign has been an unmitigated success, creating, almost ex nihilo, a “beloved leader” out of a largely inexperienced and unknown man, void of business, executive, and foreign policy credentials. This fact alone is cause for substantial concern, but, unfortunately for the American people, what has been true of the form of the Obama campaign is now materializing in its function as individuals cloaked in the appearance of state authority seek to silence dissent and indoctrinate the masses.
