Obama Calls Himself a Dictator. Or King. Or Emperor.

November 18, 2014 - Barack Obama once said that preventing deportation of illegal immigrants without the involvement of Congress would be dictatorial. Western Journalism's Norvell Rose notes that even Obama's natural allies in the liberal media are serving up scathing criticism of his tendencies to act more like a king than president.

Rose wrote that the New York Times "aptly points out" Obama has said on multiple occasions that acting on his own to curb the deportation of millions of illegals without an act of Congress "would amount to nothing less than the dictates of a king, not a president." 

A better analogy might be that Obama's penchant for acting without the peoples' elected representatives in Congress amounts more closely to the dictates of a despotic tyrant. There have been, after all, kings who have been more cooperative with their parliaments or congresses than Obama has been.

WJ's Rose gives us three examples from the NYT piece, "Using Executive Order on Immigration, Obama Would Reverse Long-Held Stance" of  "Obama’s own, very clear and specific words to explain that a president cannot simply move forward on this kind of domestic front without congressional authority," and they are damning:

• In a Telemundo interview in September 2013, Mr. Obama said…I’ll be ignoring the law in a way that I think would be very difficult to defend legally,” Mr. Obama told Jose Diaz-Balart in the interview. “So that’s not an option.”

• …during a Google Hangout in February 2013…“This is something that I have struggled with throughout my presidency,” Mr. Obama said. “The problem is, is that I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed.”

• In an immigration speech in San Francisco last November…Mr. Obama…insisted that only Congress had the authority to do what they [immigration protestors] wanted. “The easy way out is to try to yell and pretend like I can do something by violating our laws,” he said.

The NYT is not the only leftist newspaper of note to sling Obama's words back at him. Two editorials in The Washington Post point out Obama's hypocrisy and willingness to sabotage democracy: "In Mr. Obama’s own words, acting alone is ‘not how our democracy functions" on November 17, and from August 5, "Frustration over stalled immigration action doesn’t mean Obama can act unilaterally."

Obama Racist Executive Order Violates 14th Amendment With Race-Based School Discipline

Barack Obama is a racist. He has admitted it. He has demonstrated it. It is undeniable. Equal treatment for all? Not under Obama, nope. A "colorblind society?" Not if Obama can help it, and in fact he signed and executive order on July 26 that violates Section 1 of the 14th Amendment of U.S. Constitution (the "Equal Protection Clause") by establishing a government panel to promote “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

The Executive Order, titled "White House Initiative On Educational Excellence For African Americans," begins with this bit of irony: "By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America...." It is ironic because Obama is not given any authority by the Constitution or any laws to violate the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. He has violated the very Constitution that he falsely claims gives him the authority to do so. (Can we have a collective "Huh?" please?)

“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases. ~ Daily Caller

The Executive Order ends with as much irony as it begins with. Sec. 4. General Provisions (c) says, "This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations." As with the ironic beginning of the Order, there is no "applicable law" because the Order violates the Constitution, which is the supreme legal document.

Unconstitutional Gun Registration in Rockford, IL

March 17, 2012 - The Rockford Tea Party has exposed an unconstitutional gun registration requirement in Rockford, Illinois. They posted the following on their Facebook page today.

Since 1995 the City of Rockford has required anyone that wants to purchase a handgun in the city to fill out a registration card at the point of purchase which is sent to the city. The practice has gone unnoticed for the past 17 years, but is being revisited with current atmosphere of interest in government accountability.

“This gun registration law within the City of Rockford must be eliminated without condition. We do not seek to repeal and replace it, we seek to have this unconstitutional violation of our 2nd Amendment rights eliminated completely, said David Hale Rockford Tea Party Coordinator. We are calling on the Rockford City Council and Mayor Morrissey to immediately strike this law/ordinance from the books.”

After 17 years on the books gun crime and violent crime have increased to make Rockford one of the most violent cities in the state. There is no justification for the law in Rockford and City leaders to continue to allow this the law to remain on the books. We are also seeking to have all records and registrations destroyed immediately.

Do You Pray in Your Home? Your Permit, Please

The San Diego official asked the couple: “Do you have a regular meeting in your home?”; “Do you say amen?”; “Do you pray?”; “Do you say praise the Lord?” When Pastor David Jones and his wife Mary replied “yes” to these questions, the official told them their meeting was violating county regulations. That meeting was the Jones home. Once a week they have about 15 people over for dinner, prayer and religious discussion. The only apparent reason for this incredible violation of constitutionally protected activity is religious persecution. According to christian.org.uk, Pastor Jones says his neighbors are supportive, and that the authorities’ letters consistently cited “religious assembly” rather than parking or traffic issues. David Broyles is the attorney representing Pastor and Mrs. Jones in all of this. He wondered, “Is [San Diego] county really going to treat a religious gathering any differently than a boyscout troupe or a tupperware party?” (More from christian.org.uk....) Apparently so. Discrimination law expert Neil Addison points out that “It is no coincidence that the first thing any totalitarian state does is to regulate and control association, organisations and churches." This is not an isolated case. Indeed, Christian persecution is on the rise all over the world. While it's far worse in other countries, intolerance of relgious people is increasing in the U.S., whether Muslim, Jewish, Christian or any other that believes in God. I wonder if San Diego officials would treat a weekly swingers' orgy of a dozen people in somebody's home this way?
