Yesterday, I published a post with the title "When Will This Liar be Disbarred?" In that post, I posed a question regarding attorney Thomas J. President Obama, Congressman Joe Moore, Alderman David Fagus

Are you ready for Congressman Joe Moore? Oh yes, my friends, if Barack Obama keeps this up, he may well win the Democrat nomination. Now, suppose Obama wins it all and becomes our Next President? I am not making this up. Honestly. Democracy in Rogers Park will take a step backward, as if that is possible! The Bench has sitting on this for while now, but only today had an epiphany thanks to a woman much wiser than I am. Here's the hypothetical skinny: U.S. Senator Obama becomes President, leaving his Senate seat vacant. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, wife of convicted felon Bobby Creamer, is appointed to fill that seat. She becomes U.S. Senator Schakowsky. (Her husband remains a crooked scum. Sorry, Bob, the promotion won't take that stain off of you.) With Schakowsky's seat in Congress vacant, 49th Ward Alderfart Joe Moore will be named to fill her seat, thus becoming Congressfart Joe Moore. Who will fill Joe's $400 Italian shoes once he's gone off to Washington? Why, none other than David Fagus, currently the evil 49th Ward Democrat Committeeman. That's right; he will become Alderman David Fagus. Sorry, Jim Ginderske, you probably won't get it. And your little dog Wee Wee won't be able to tag along, either. You both carry water well, but not well enough. So who will fill Fagus's vacated Committeeman position? Not now, I'll tell you early next week, boys and girls. And you thought the Democrat Party was "Democratic?" Ha ha ha ha ha hahahahahaha! Oh, man, that's funny!

FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS

First, she's dumb enough to "vote" with an "invisible ink pen." Then, after being written about by newspapers and bloggers nationwide, she's dumb enough to write a letter of complaint to two local bloggers. It must be remember that she, herself, is a blogger. The foul part of it all: Amy "I'm not dumb" Carlton was dumb enough to write a letter asking Craig (Broken Heart) and I (this blog) to back off - after liberally insulting us in the same breath. She continued her fit of stupidity by copying the email to one of the most reviled men on the north side of Chicago, Tom "wee wee" Westgard, a liar and a bigoted pig of small, underemployed mechanics liens attorney who has lately been spending more time licking the boots of Alderman Joe Moore here in the 49th than he has been with clients. But I digress. By copying others in what should have remained a private email, Carlton foolishly put Craig and I into a position of having to respond, lest it appear that we backed down. Ironically, that's exactly what Carlton's new mentor, wee wee, was hoping for. No, that's not the ironic part. The ironic part is that Westgard is apparently unfamiliar with the old bit of advice to be careful what one wishes for. He has unleashed more than he thinks he has. He has enemies within his own party. Tom Westgard disgusts many, and many are starting to say so who would not have a year ago. The gloves are off. Not just for Westgard. No, not for poor pitiful Amy Carlton, who is yesterday's news and just one more useful idiot pawn in the insideous game that Westgard, Ginderske, Moore, Fagus, and others in this rotten 49th Ward play with sadistic delight. Amy Carlton was forgotten until she made the mistake of copying Westgard and Company, and of having the unmittigated nerve to ask Broken Heart and The Bench to back off just because we have the misfortune of living in close proximity to her. Did Amy Carlton launch an email campaign to ask bloggers nationwide to back off? No, of course not. Why not? Because she - and more to the point - her handlers Westgard & Company, would get no political mileage out harassing a blogger in, say, Sarasota, Florida. The cheap trick of bringing her allegedly ailing mother in law into the fracas is unforgiveable. SHE brought that poor lady into this, not Broken Heart or The Bench. In a cheap bid to grab sympathy, Carlton and Westgard are hypocritical. How many times did they laugh about Nancy Reagan's misfortune of nursing a husband suffering from alzheimer's? They are not compassionate, and to beg for compassion so cheaply is disgusting. Furthermore, for Thomas J. Westgate to AGAIN invoke the imagery of Nazis and the Third Reich is so hideously typical of not just Westgard but of so many on the Left that is almost laughable. Tom Westgard STILL owes the world an apology for slandering a perfectly decent man, Don Gordon, as a Nazi. Westgard is about as low as you can get, and is barely tolerated by the Moore camp but for his usefulness as a waterboy. It is well known that when Anne Sullivan jumped from the Gordon aldermanic camp to Joe Moore's, she briefly considered going to the Ginderske camp. Ginderske himself told me, however, that Sullivan chose Moore over him because she could not bear the thought of working with the likes of Westgard, who one year ago was "managing" Ginderske's amateurish bid for public office. This is just the beginning, people. It's gonna git rough. I wrote a letter to a new friend earlier this evening. I'd like to share part of it with you: I can't begin to tell you how good it was to read your note (below). You are truly a free thinker, and God love you for that. Fasten your seat belt, the ride is going to get bumpy. You know that I am a "conservative," for lack of a better term; but I have great sympathy for friends and neighbors who consider themselves to be Democrats, for their own party has been hijacked by a wicked alliance of the Far Left and Machine Politics. They tell me this themselves, that they are disgusted with their own party. Sadder still, however, is the fact that most of them repeatedly chant that they could never vote for a conservative or a Republican, even in the face of overwhelmingly depressing facts. Facts: Todd Stroger. Rob Blagojevich. Nancy Pelosi. David Fagus. And on and on and on. So here's where the seat belts are advised: I intend to take the gloves off. No more holding back. Oh, I won't use the cheap trick of using Revolutionary Truth (lies used as a means to an end, and the end always justifies the means for the Leftists). But I will hit harder than I have previously with actual truth. No sanctuary for the bastards, no quarter, no mercy. I hope you enjoy the fireworks. You may wish to publicly distance yourself from me. But here is a serious, very serious request. Keep doing what you've been doing. Keep up the public discussion. Wake up your fellow Democrats to the threat from the Lunatics, from the Westgard-Ginderske-Fagus types. The Soviet Union came to be in a quick and brutal revolution. The revolution that is happening right now, right beneath our noses, is being sold to us with a dash of granola, sex and fear of polar bear extinction. It scares the hell out of me, and I pride myself in not being a paranoid. It is not too late. But the moment of no return is but moments away. History is a good barometer of what the political weather will be in the near future. Right now, the reading says "storm ahead." I know which side I am on, which side I will be on, which side I must be on. The lunatics will chatter and scream. The sane will recognize the Truth, as they always do.

You see, some strange impulse has taken over me this last month, and every morning at 3:20 a.m., I venture out into the parkway on Sheridan for my daily, um, bodily activity. Something about it just feels so right, so complete. I can't explain it - you just wouldn't understand. But, fear not, you are in no danger of stepping in dog poop. Please stop wrongfully blaming my dog. Those are piles of human excrement that Mannis has been poking through. It's true, and you can verify it. Westgard's Transparent and Pathetic Move

Local attorney and tragic hypocrite Thomas J. Westgard and I actually agreed on something, which scares the crap out of me. Yesterday, we both criticized Cook County Commissioner William "Big Nuts" Beavers for blaming racism on Cook County President Todd Stroger's inability to get his budget passed. Beavers said on Tuesday that Stroger is having political problems "because he's black."

Yesterday, Westgard wrote, "Beavers and Stroger must really be running out of political power, if they're reduced to such a transparent and pathetic move."

What a load of shit. No no, I agree with what Westgard wrote. But does Westgard really believe what he wrote? Westgard used exactly the same "transparent and pathetic move" himself, as the former campaign chair of the failed Ginderske 2007 aldermanic campaign. Ginderske lost to incumbent Moore in February, who went on to beat Don Gordon in the April run-off. That's when Westgard and others used their own Beavers-like race card.

While Ginderske was still in the race, Joe Moore's flunkies were telling voters - particularly black voters north of Howard Street - that progressive Democrat Jim Ginderske was a Republican who wanted to get rid of all the black people in Rogers Park. This was a complete lie. Westgard protested, of course. Meanwhile, Westgard told anybody who would listen that candidate Don Gordon was a Nazi and a racist.

After Ginderske lost, both he and Westgard jumped into bed with Moore and started telling voters - particularly black voters north of Howard Street - that the moderately liberal Don Gordon was a Republican who wanted to get rid of all the black people in Rogers Park. But it got even uglier.

Westgard repeatedly and viciously called Mr. Gordon a Nazi and a racist. Mr. Gordon is neither, and Westgard knew that. Westgard's ugly, intentional lies were hurtful. But that was his intention. Give Beavers some credit: Unlike Westgard, at least Beavers's lie was not a vicious personal attack intended to destroy an individual's reputation.

As another local blogger wrote at the time, we still await Mr. Westgard's apology. He should do so before hypocritically criticizing Beavers or anybody else for the same sins of which he is so publicly and unrepentantly guilty.

A search for Mr. Westgard's building permits online at the Department of Construction and Permits comes up with nothing. It says, "No permit applications found for this criteria," and that "This data represents the last 18 months of historical permit information and was last updated on 05/09/2007 12:00:00 AM CDT." From the city's own Department of Buildings rules, which are quoted here again, from an FAQ at the DoB's website. Q: I purchased a building and I'm doing interior remodeling work. Do I still need a permit if no plumbing or electrical work is being done? A: Yes, permits are required for interior remodeling for the removal of plaster, lath and drywall. RPB repeats its question: Is Alderman Joe Moore covering up or overlooking this clear code violation for his new supporter?

Of Paris and Rogers Park

There is a stunning similarity between the recent aldermanic election in Chicago's 49th Ward of Rogers Park and today's presidential election in France. During the campaign for alderman in Rogers Park, ugly - and false - charges and innuendos were lobbed onto the playing field by incumbent Joe Moore. Prior to the first election of February 27, Moore and his people spread the lie that candidate Jim Ginderske, a "progressive liberal" himself, was a "Republican who wants to get rid of the black people." Ginderske, of course, complained bitterly about that lie, but after Ginderske was knocked out of the race, he joined forces with Moore and helped spread a new lie: left-of center candidate Don Gordon, the new lie went, was - you guessed it - a "Republican who wants to get rid of the black people." Moore's gang was spreading fear, instilling visions of (gasp!) "big business" Republicans who "want to take over our neighborhood." One wonders why Moore stopped there and didn't accuse Gordon of being in the Ku Klux Klan, although at least one of Moore's cheerleaders repeatedly drew stark and not-so-subtle comparisons of Gordon to Adolf Hitler (see We Await An Apology, Mr. Westgard). During the French presidential campaign, "the Socialists tried to scare the French planning to vote for Mr. Sarkozy, by warning that he was a danger to democracy and an aggressive politician who could not be trusted to keep his cool as president," wrote Caroline Wyatt of the BBC. Of course, the Socialists tried their best to slander Sarkozy as a Nazi, making their predictable comparisons to Hitler. This is too familiar to us in the United States, where everyone from George Bush down to Don Gordon can be painted by Leftists in the most vile of portraiture art. It is a westgardian tactic used worldwide by "progressives," Liberals, Socialists and Communists. Just have a look at the news stand in Michael James' Heartland Cafe. Walk in, have some coffee, feel the hate. Try the hate omelette if you can stomach it. That is sick because Mr. Gordon is neither a Nazi nor a mass murderer.

It is sick because it's a cheap way to slander and discredit an opponent without having to actually address real issues. It panders to the base fears of the least educated and, frankly, dumbest voters.

There is another reason why it is so sick. It cheapens the meaning of the word "Nazi," of which the meaning has become all too diluted in the past 50 years. Believe it or not, many who use the word "Nazi" know little or nothing about Adolf Hilter, of the actual Nazis, or World War II, of the death camps. Not surprisingly, the Westgards of the world coddle the professors who deny the Holocaust, and scream out "academic freedom" as a defense for it.

Lawyer Says Moore Would Pave Lakefront

Wow, what a story! A Rogers Park attorney, Tom Westgard, accuses Alderman Joe Moore of being crooked enough to pave over the "entire lakefront" for a big donation. Joe would pave the entire lakefront for a big enough donation from a developer or the promise of a high profile new position. He and Fagus have delusions of Joe being a "rising star" in the national Democratic party ala Obama. What a Joke! Remember his embarrassing run for Clerk of the Circuit Court? Joe Moore is a "Liar" - Westgard

Former Ginderske supporter cum Moore sycophant Thomas Westgard called Moore a liar. What Joe Moore Does in the 49th Ward Joe Moore distributed a flyer calling Jim Ginderske a "liar" for saying that half-pints, malt liquor, and single cans of beer are being sold at a liquor store on Clark Street, where Joe had an agreement not to sell these items. Westgard Coy About Code Violations

Thomas J. Westgard is denying that he has done renovation to the interior walls of his office at 6970 N. Sheridan Road. (See "Moore Backer Violating Building Code ") There are hundreds of witnesses who, over the past seven months, have seen the fake stone wall under the front picture windows. The fake stone was plaster and has been removed by Westgard since February 27. Westgard has been seen recently and today with a circular saw and a wooden horse on the sidewalk in front of the office, doing carpentry. He has constructed a chest-high reception counter in the middle of the office.

In a bizarre turn of events, Westgard today posted a comment to one of his own blog posts, a post that had nothing to do with my allegations. He wrote this comment:

"Sorry, Friend, I seem to have lost your comment. But no permit is required if you're painting the walls and building furniture."

The comment is weird because an attorney who specializes in construction law ought to know simple building code. Furthermore, I quoted the rules from the city's own Department of Buildings, which I quote again here, from an FAQ at the DoB's website.

A: Yes, permits are required for interior remodeling for the removal of plaster, lath and drywall.

I repeat: Is Alderman Moore covering this clear violation for his new supporter, a supporter with a widely read blog?

Final Solutions, Liberal Guilt and Candidate Don Gordon

In certain contexts, the phrase is incendiary. In others, it should not be. Today's attack against Gordon and Harrington by Tom Westgard is ludicrous. I will try to explain why. "Politically correct" people are tragic, tending to hallucinate, to hear things that don't necessarily make sound, to smell things that don't smell, to see things that are not there. Such is the case with attorney Thomas Westgard, a man whom I consider to be a friend. I like Tom Westgard, and it pains me to write this. Tom is basically a good man, but what I have to say must be said. Our communal sanity may depend upon it. Westgard, like many others, is infected with the Political Correctness Virus (PCV). This disease has among its symptoms delusional thoughts and hallucination. People who are PCV-positive often hear, smell and see things that are not there or do not exist. Perhaps we can work to finally solve this. Perhaps, together, we can find a final solution to the question of hypersensitivity brought on by PCV. Perhaps, finally, it will be solved. Thomas Westgard is hearing voices, and they are saying things to him that are not grounded in reality. They tend to take things out of context, pick them up, and move them into a context that either does not exist or will not properly accommodate. Context is everything. Oh, the White Liberal Guilt weighs heavy on Westgard’s German-American shoulders. Today Westgard pontificates on the phrase "final solution." It is a phrase that haunts his Teutonic memory, and in a fit of guilty, delusional pique he unfairly associates 49th Ward aldermanic candidate Don Gordon with Adolf Hitler. Again: Context is everything. We are not in Nuremberg. Gordon is not Hitler. Harrington is Rudolf Hess. "Something that has been bothering me for nearly a year,” Westgard writes, “is the misuse of the term, 'Final Solution.' It has a very specific meaning, and it's one that culturally literate people know. Everyone must learn it at some point, so I provide for those not already in the know the following explanation of the term, 'Final Solution.' "'Final Solution' is the standard English translation of Hitler's extermination plan for Jews and other groups," wrote Westgard. Westgard is wrong and right at the same time, as deluded victims of hallucination sometimes are. He is correct, of course, that Hitler called his program of extermination a "final solution." But he is absolutely wrong in saying that anybody who uses the phrase "final solution" in a sentence is implying that millions of people must be exterminated. “The Final Solution is the Holocaust,” writes Westgard. Not true. Rather, the Holocaust was a type of final solution. But not all final solutions are holocausts. A Holocaust survivors' group tell us this: “The phrase, ‘Final Solution,’ was just one of the euphemisms used by the Nazis to signify their program of murder. The Final Solution was a secret that had to be disguised in seemingly innocent sounding formulations. Other euphemisms for the mass murder were: ‘Liquidated’ ‘Finished Off’ ‘Special Treatment’ ‘Cleansing’ ‘Elimination’ ‘Resettlement’ ‘Treated Appropriately’ and ‘Made Free of Jews.’" Would Tom Westgard have a problem with somebody telling him that they have “finished off” a big lunch? Or a merchant advertising a “special treatment for the elimination of liquidated” sale items? How would Westgard react to a proposed “resettlement” of Section 8 residents? Or the “cleansing” of his toilet bowl? Or having Muslims “treated appropriately?” Context is everything. Why, then, would Westgard have a problem with Don Gordon calling for the “final solution” to a problem. Would any reasonable person take that to mean a Nazi-style extermination program? Westgard wrote today: “About eight months ago, I was one of a large group who received an email from Michael J. Harrington that emphatically demanded a ‘Final Solution’ to the Block Building problem. To be clear, I am not paraphrasing his words - MJH himself used the phrase ‘Final Solution’ to describe what he wanted to see. As many readers of this blog are aware, the Block Building is actually a pair of buildings bordered by Morse, Glenwood, and Lunt, where a constant drug dealing problem has existed for years. Many residents are Black. Most or all of the owners are Jewish.” Permit me a digression: As a conservative, I find it amusing that the non-Jewish Westgard has taken it upon himself to discuss matters of Jewish concern. Westgard and his fellow Liberals love to tell non-veterans that they should not discuss military issues, or white people that they have no understanding of and therefore no right to discuss issues about non-white people. Yet here is Westgard, as white as white can be, lecturing us about an issue which, by Liberal standards, should be left to Jews. It is also, I must admit, amusing to witness “progressive” Michael Harrington fall victim to PC police, of which he himself is an officer. But that’s enough digressing. Westgard’s final paragraph (sorry about the word “final” there) is a mash of unsubstantiated slander. He wrote: “But it is fair to set a certain standard for cultural awareness in our alderman. Don Gordon himself has exhibited a pattern of behavior that demonstrates a severe lack of cultural sensitivity, and his political advisors [sic] have added more problems to the pile. Don Gordon has personally, and in so many words, opposed compassion for the poor and mentally ill who are homeless. Under the circumstances, I believe that Don does not have the personal qualifications to adequately represent the cultural and economic variety of Rogers Park. Nor is there any reason to think that his team of advisors [sic] can guide him to learn the necessary background. Either one of these failings would be seriously detrimental to an aldermanic campaign; failing in both areas is essentially insurmountable.” “Severe lack of cultural sensitivity?” In what way? “Severe” is undefined here, and no example is given. Westgard alleges that Don Gordon has said he is opposed to compassion for, amongst other, homeless mentally ill people. (How compassionate is it of Westgard, et. al. to oppose institutionalizing the mentally ill rather than put them on the street like so many dogs?) Again, no substantiation, no example given. Westgard continues: “I believe that Don does not have the personal qualifications to adequately represent the cultural and economic variety of Rogers Park.” This is code from a guilt-ridden, Liberal German-American White Man for “Don Gordon is too white” to represent people who are not white. Ridiculous. This is racism on Westgard’s part, pure and simple, although I would say it is not intentional racism. (Remember, he suffers from PCV. Many of his actions and thoughts are adversely influenced by PCV.) As for the “economic variety of Rogers Park,” I’d like to know what that means. Seems to me that one of the problems of Rogers Park is its lack of economic variety. Again, no substantiation. No example. Westgard writes well, but tightly woven paragraphs do not always mean a tightly woven case. Is Westgard bothered by the use of the word “problem?” Surely that for which Hitler wanted a “final solution” was referred to as a “problem” by der Fuehrer. Surely, then, Westgard would have a problem with the use of the word “problem,” right? It is particularly troublesome that Westgard, as an attorney, has not passed the test of being reasonable. As an attorney, he knows better than most of us that if something cannot be reasonably taken to serious, as in the case of obvious satire or parody, it should be thrown out of court. The “case” he brings against Gordon for the use of the phrase “final solution” is frivolous and does not stand the test of reason. Not all “final solutions” are holocausts. Many things can have a final solution having nothing to do with genocide. Remember: Context uber alles. Before I continue, let me note that my father’s side is Jewish. Most Jews would not consider me to be a Jew, because Jewishness is passed from mother to child. My mother was Protestant. But make no mistake, by every rule and law of the Third Reich I would have been considered Jewish and sent off to a prison camp. Mr. Westgard, as far as I know, would not have been considered Jewish in the Germany of 1939. It is probably safe to assume that Adolf Hitler occasionally used the phrase “better road system,” or “road project.” Should we, then, cringe when we hear a politician suggest that we spend more money on a “better road system?” By the same token, when the headline “A final solution for tyre garbage?” was used for a story about disposing of old automobile tires in Australia, were the Tom Westgards of Australia up in arms over the use of the phrase “final solution?” How about this headline, from Good News India: “A final solution for waste?” An excerpt from that story read, “A company in the USA, Changing World Technologies [CWT] , NY has perfected a process to transform all manner of modern waste into crude oil and other useful products. The process ‘Thermal Depolymerisation’ [TDP] is nearly self sufficient in energy, has no polluting by-products and is highly scalable.” Hardly sounds Hitlerian. Doesn’t sound threatening, does it? There are more, of course. Do any of the following sound like they’re advocating genocide?
