Obama Worried About 'Assault On Unions,' But FBI Worried About Union Ties To Terrorists (Updated)

February 17, 2011 - Oh, this is rich. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker wants to take away the "right" of public employees to collective bargaining. The state's legislature will be deciding the issue today. Update, 12:12 p.m. CST: WSJ.com reports that Wisconsin's Democratic legislators "were not present at the start of the state session to vote on the bill." Comrade President Barack Obama, has called Walker's actions an "assault on unions." I'm waiting for someone to characterize the unions' actions as an "assault on taxpayers." Obama is a puppet of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), whose leaders in Chicago are being investigated for links to terrorist organizations such as Iran-backed Hamas and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). Greg Sargent, at WaPo's Plum Line, noted that WTMJ-TV (Milwaukee) has an interview with Obama online. Sargent wrote that Obama said "adjustments to new fiscal realities" need to be made, "but insisted it's important not to 'vilify' public employees and described them as 'our neighbors, our friends'." Apparently Comrade Barry does not consider ordinary folks who don't work for the Gubbermint to be neighbors or friends. Has Comrade Barry said anything about the suspected connection of Chicago's SEIU Local 73 to murdering terrorists, people who plan assaults on our neighbors and friends? "Chicago SEIU Local Leaders Probed for Terror Links" is the headling of a February 15 article by Carl Horowitz at the National Legal and Policy Center: "Last September 24," wrote Horowitz, "FBI agents raided residences in Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan of more than a dozen radical activists in an effort to connect them to the Hamas (Gaza and the West Bank) and FARC (Colombia) guerrilla movements. Two of the occupants were SEIU Local 73 chief steward and executive board member Joe Iosbaker and former local board member-steward Tom Burke. Neither they nor anyone else has been arrested. But as the case unfolds, questions have arisen over the extent of involvement, if any, by the Chicago-based radical network that nurtured President Obama's political ambitions from the Nineties onward." Israel Seizes MV Rachel Corrie Flotilla Ship (w/Video)

June 6, 2010 - Breaking/Developing: New Straits Times reports from Indonesia: Israeli forces boarded and seized the MV Rachel Corrie swiftly and without meeting resistance yesterday [local time], preventing it from breaking a naval blockade of Gaza days after a similar effort turned bloody. While the 19 activists onboard, including six Malaysians, are reported to be unharmed, there are concerns that the activists will be dealt with according to Israeli laws once they reach Port Ashdod in Israel. The Jerusalem Post reported this: On Saturday [local time], commandos boarded the MV Rachel Corrie cargo ship as it made its way to the Gaza Strip in an attempt to break the Israel-imposed sea blockade. Navy forces then piloted the ship into Ashdod Port where its cargo will be unloaded and allowed, after inspection, to cross by land into the Gaza Strip. The boarding took place without any violence and was carried out by sea and not by helicopters, like on Monday. Passengers aboard the Rachel Corrie – named for an American activist killed by an IDF bulldozer in the Gaza Strip in 2003 – even, according to the IDF, threw the boarding soldiers a rope off the side of the vessel. 5 PM Today, Protest Chicago Turkish Embassy, Support Israel

June 3, 2010 - How convenient: The Turkish Embassy and the Israeli Embassy are both located in the same building at 111 East Wacker Drive in Chicago. That makes it easy to (a) protest the Turkish government for its rush to condemn Israel for excercising its right to control traffic into its territory and (b) to show your support for our friend Israel as she is wrongly convicted in the court of world opinion without even the pretense of a fair hearing. The Pollak For Congress campaign will be outside the Turkish and Israeli consulates (111 E Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL) at 5 p.m., but they will most likely have a lot of company. A note from the Pollak campaign sums up the event, hours before it is scheduled to begin: We are going to stand with the U.S. and Israel, and tell the Turkish government that its new alliance with Iran and radical terrorists is dangerous and morally wrong! We expect more from a historic NATO ally. We are tired of the hypocrisy of a Turkish government that refuses to recognize the Armenian genocide or legitimate Kurdish aspirations, yet blasts the U.S. and Israel. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky has been totally silent about Turkey, Iran, and the Gaza flotilla. Her close ally, J Street, blamed Israel. Join us TODAY as we stand up against terror! We wonder if Jan Schakowsky be there waving the Turkish flag.

How Israel Should Have Handled The Free Gaza Flotilla

If I had been in charge of the Israeli response to the recent, ill-fated 'Free Gaza' Flotilla, I would have handled it much differently. As it happens, Israeli soldiers boarded the Mavi Marmara, one of the ships in the flotilla, and all hell broke loose when they were violently attacked. The actual violence is not Israel's big problem. Rather, it's their own failed public relations and the fact that so much of the world is eager to condemn them without even a fair hearing. What would you have done? Let's say you're a high-ranking security person in Israel's government. Three ships are heading toward your country, which is surrounded on all sides by hostile nations and has hundreds of thousands of terrorists inside its borders. The organizers of the ships are known to be sympathetic toward the terrorists, but they claim that they're only bringing "relief" materials to them: Medical supplies, toilet paper, and other items. They make it known that they will put to port in the portion of your country that is controlled by terrorists sworn to destroy you, but all you ask of the ships is that they dock elsewhere first so that you can inspect them to be certain they are not carrying weapons the your enemies. You stand firm and insist that your country be able to inspect any ship, as allowed under international law, that comes into your territory. Does that sound unreasonable? It doesn't, if you happen to be reasonable. If, however, you are an islamist muslim who hates Israel, it might irritate you. Unless, however, you're an enemy of Israel and you want to bait them into an international incident. How to do that? You load three ships with some faithful crew who are in on the plot, bring a few hundred useful idiot passengers on board, and defy the reasonable requests of the Israelis to inspect your ships. Oh, and you have a bunch of items that are "not weapons" stacked on the decks of the ships that actually could be used for mayhem. Items such as axes, long knives, steel pipes. No guns, of course, because guns would be too incriminating. Remember, your objective is to force Israel into an embarassing and "violent" encounter with "peaceful" relief workers. Israel's response was weak, and also stupid. Sure, hind sight is 20/20, but I'm amazed that Israel did not do what I'm about to say I would have done. I would have surrounded the flotilla with my naval forces and prevented them from proceeding until they allowed us to board the ships one by one and be searched. In a crucial difference from what Israel did, I would have done this in broad daylight, not at night, and made sure that the international press was present. I would have have my media people make it known that the ships were violating international law by refusing inspection. I would have kept the flotilla sitting where we stopped them, at sea, for weeks or months if necessary, providing them with food and water and medical supplies until such time that they allowed our forces to board them and peacefully inspect them. If no weapons or contraban was found, they would be allowed to proceed. If, during this standoff, any of the ships fired on our forces, we would respond with deadly fire. Instead, Israel walked into trap with its eyes wide open. The night vision videos released by the IDF are difficult to see because color and detail are washed out. The IDF videos are open to criticism of doctoring and editing. Had the international press been present, embedded if you will, it would be much more difficult for the critics of Israel to condemn video from, say, BBC or CNN or AFP. Israel might get another chance, but I fear they will blow that as well. A June 1 report in The Jerusalem Post quotes a "top Navy commander" as saying that "Israel will use more aggressive force in the future to prevent ships from breaking the sea blockade on the Gaza Strip." Did they learn nothing in the past 48 hours? They were baited into appearing violent once, and now some idiot Navy commander promises "more aggressive force?" I agree that aggressive force, if warranted, should be applied. But Israel must remember that, fairly or unfairly, they are judged differently than other nations. They must take extra care to avoid the appearance of using violence wantonly, and only the most convincing evidence will hold their critics at bay. (No pun intended.) Update, June 3: Ironically, Hamas has since refused to allow trucks filled with "aid" items from the ships into Gaza. “Hamas has refused to allow those trucks to go in,” a senior official from the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) told The Jerusalem Post, “and if the aid is so urgent, my question is, why are they not allowing it into Gaza?” (JawaReport) RELATED: Video Shows Passengers Attacking Israeli Soldiers‎ WCBS-TV Israel Transfers Mavi Marmara Cargo to Gaza‎ Arutz Sheva Israeli Boarding of Blockade Busting Ship Was Legal Fort Liberty Helsinki Principles on the Law of Maritime Neutrality Peace activists acted more like provocateurs Calgary Herald

IDF Videos Show Closeup of Violent Ship Passengers

In the top video here (taken by an Israeli Defence Force naval boat) we see the "peaceful" passengers of the Mavi Marmara, one of the ships in the 'Free Gaza' Flotilla, violently attacking IDF soldiers "who were trying to board the ship after having sent repeated requests for the boat to change course." The voices you hear in the first video are IDF personnel speaking Hebrew. In the second video, (no sound), IDF provides a closeup view. "Large groups of passengers surrounded soldiers and beat them with metal poles and chairs," writes the IDF, "and threw one soldier over the side of the ship. Some passengers grabbed pistols from the IDF soldiers and opened fire. As a result of the attacks, seven IDF soldiers were injured, and nine of the passengers were killed. The 'Free Gaza' Flotilla had publicly insisted on their non-violent intentions, however their violent attack on the IDF soldiers was clearly premeditated. They had knives, metal rods, firebombs and other items ready to use. " The IDF posted these videos on YouTube on May 31, 2010. Update, June 3: Ironically, Hamas has since refused to allow trucks filled with "aid" items from the ships into Gaza. “Hamas has refused to allow those trucks to go in,” a senior official from the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) told The Jerusalem Post, “and if the aid is so urgent, my question is, why are they not allowing it into Gaza?” (JawaReport)

Egypt Versus Hizbullah

In what's being called a "cold war," Egyptian leadership is waging a war or words agains terrorist organization Hiszbullah. According to the Jerusalem Post newspaper, "The Egyptian press and government officials have, for several consecutive days, been hurling insults at the Shi'ite group, in one instance comparing its leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah to a monkey." Hizbullah (or "Hizbollah" or "Hezbollah") acts as a proxy for Iran. Egypt is seeking the arrest of Hezbollah chief Nasrallah. Hizbullah publicly dissed Obama last week by telling the world that "What we've heard of Obama's position on Palestine has not been encouraging. He took the exact same position as the Bush administration." Nasrallah is has praised suicide bombers and is suspected of orchestrating a number of terrorist operations, according to BBC News: "Hezbollah's military wing is believed to have been behind a large number of deadly attacks, hijackings, kidnappings of Westerners, including Terry Waite, and the bombing of the US Marine barracks in Beirut which killed 241 people in 1983. After Musawi was assassinated by the Israelis in 1992, Sheikh Nasrallah, aged just 32, was elected his successor." The JP report goes on to say (with emphasis added): The war of rhetoric came after Cairo uncovered a plot by Hizbullah to launch a series of terrorist attacks on Egyptian soil. The attackers also planned to strike inside Israel, according to Egypt. Meanwhile, media outlets in Iran claimed Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are preparing to jointly assassinate Nasrallah....Over the past few months, Egypt's president, Hosni Mubarak, and the Egyptian media have repeatedly condemned Iran's schemes for ascendancy in the region. Cairo has directed criticisms at Iran's proxies, Hamas and Hizbullah, for igniting two wars with Israel in the past three years. Is Alderman Joe Moore a "Tool of Hamas?"

Some of the anti-Semitism sweeping Europe and North America has struck in Chicago in recent days, especially on the city's north side. In light of that, a flashback to May of 2008 seems appropriate. 50th Ward Alderman Bernard Stone (photo, right) called 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore (photo, below left) an "ignorant cry baby" who is "a tool of Hamas." Stone made his remarks in a live telephone interview with morning hosts "Don and Roma" on WLS 890 AM (photo, below right). FLASHBACK to May 15, 2008: Alderman Bernard Stone called Alderman Joe Moore an ignorant cry baby who is a tool of Hamas. Speaking live by phone on WLS 890 AM this morning with morning hosts Don Wade and Roma about the humiliating defeat of his two-year old foie gras ban, Moore said that the Chicago City Council has "lost even the pretense of a democracy." Moore went on to embarass himself for nearly 10 minutes. Hear the full Moore interview (6.6 mb mp3 file.) IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING MOORE'S PHONE INTERVIEW, 50th Ward Alderman Bernie Stone was interviewed.Stone, on the phone, said Moore was a "cry baby" who doesn't know proper procedure for City Council meetings. Stone said that had Moore followed procedure, he could have spoken, but Daley called the vote without Moore doing what was required. But that's not all that Stone said.Moore is a "tool of Hamas," Stone said. Stone said the particular anti-war resolution that Moore was proposing would serve as a propaganda tool for Hamas, which is sworn to destroy Israel. The end result of the exchange between Moore and Don Wade, then Stone and Don Wade, is that Joe Moore was painted as a boob who does not understand City Council procedures, is a cry baby who is whining about losing a battle, and he's a useful idiot for anti-American interests. MUSLIM HIT LIST ON EUROPEAN JEWS

Ominious warnings for Europe and North America: Muslim hate crimes against Jews are on the rise. The current conflict in Gaza has (some) Muslims going at Jews well outside of that troubled region. In Europe, increased attacks on Jewish people by Muslims is being reported. Despite official U.S. intelligence reports denying specific threat information as a result of Israeli action in Gaza, the Northeast Intelligence Network has confirmed increased terrorist “chatter” that specifically suggests pre-operational planning by Muslim terrorist operatives against Jewish assets and people throughout North America. “Chatter,” in the lexicon of intelligence agencies, encompasses various forms of communications, from communication intercepts to postings on Arabic language message boards. (Source) And this, out of the UK, January 7: FEARS grew last night that hate-filled Islamic extremists are drawing up a “hit list” of Britain’s leading Jews — bringing the Middle East conflict terrifyingly close to home.... British anti-terror expert Glen Jenvey is convinced online forum Ummah is being used to prepare a deadly backlash against UK Jews. His warning came as Europe was hit by anti-Semitic attacks over Israel’s push into the Gaza Strip. (Source) Remember when, in the wake of September 11, 2001, Muslims in the U.S. kept saying that they shouldn't be targeted? They were right to say that. So tell me, why are Jews in Europe and North America now the targets of Muslim hatred? Hamas At War With Fellow Palestinians

Even as Israeli troops move into Gaza, a quiter civil war is taking place virtually behind the scenes. The islamo-fascists in control, Hamas, are moving to crush the more moderate Fatah. The Palestinian people are vicitms of Hamas, the radicals within. The Washington Post explains that "Israel's assault on the Gaza Strip has exacerbated the deep divisions between Palestinians who want to make peace with Israel and those who support Hamas' militant struggle against the Jewish state." (More via the Pittsburgh Post Gazette...) The Jerusalem Post has a similar report: The Hamas government has placed dozens of Fatah members under house arrest out of fear that they might exploit the current IDF operation to regain control of the Gaza Strip. The move came amid reports that the Fatah leadership in the West Bank has instructed its followers to be ready to assume power over the Gaza Strip when and if Israel's military operation results in the removal of Hamas rule. (More via Muslims Against Sharia...)

Ah, Smell the Beauty of Islam!

Why Israel is fighting. Why Israel must fight. Why there would still be an Islamic threat even if Israel did not exist: The leader of the local mosque in Ft. Lauderdale, after holding a Muslim prayer service, stated that once people understand the "beauty of Islam", they "will have no choice but to accept it." That, amid shouts of pro-HAMAS protesters chanting to the Jews, "you need a bigger oven."

30 Million Man Murderous Math

A shocking video from Hamas (below). No, wait, it's not shocking, it's just more of the same psycho-killer murder babble from Islamofascists. (Uhm, say, doesn't Barack Obama hang with these guys? Why, yes, he does!) Following is an excerpt from the video, which was recorded at a press conference held by Hamas MP Fathi Hammad. He is a member of the Palestinian parliament and also the director of Director of Al-Aqsa Channel (run by Hamas/Palestinian Authority). The interview aired on Al-Aqsa TV on September 7, 2008 [emphasis added]: Fathi Hammad: The approaching victory, about which we are talking, is not limited to Palestine. You are creating the ethos of victory for all Arabs and Muslims, and Allah willing, even on the global level. Why? Because Allah has chosen you to fight the people He hates most – the Jews. Whoa! Let's pause for a moment. According to this guy, who claims to practice the "religion of peace," Allah (also know as "God") "hates" the Jews. Palestinians like Hammad talk peace to outsiders, but within their own twisted little world, they preach hate and murder. In their world, Allah (God) Himself is a hater. Continue: Allah said: "You shall find the worst enemies of the believers to be the Jews and the polytheists." In other words, the Jews, who number 15 million all over the world, are equivalent to 4.5 billion infidels in their corruption and their struggle against the religion of Islam. Therefore, our heroic prisoners who were arrested for killing Jews should know that by the grace of Allah, killing a single Jew is the same as killing 30 million Jews. Therefore, the reward of our martyrs is great, and your reward is also great. Hmmm. What would Jesus think about this? Or Buddha? I was a liberal arts major in college, so math is not one of my strong points. I am fairly certain, however, that killing a "single Jew" is NOT the same as killing 30 million of them. It is the same as killing ONE of them, so I think Mr. Hammad is off by about 2,999,999 in his calculations. Apparently, teaching hate in the Hamas-run schools is more important than teaching arithmetic. (Video follows; related links below video.) RELATED: Obama Worked with Terrorist [ref. Pipes: Obama's Ties To Radical Islamists

Daniel Pipes hits one out of the ballpark with "Obama's unsavory ties" this week. MUST READ stuff: One watches with dismay as Democratic candidate Barack Obama manages to hide the truth on his longstanding, if indirect ties to two institutions: the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), listed by the US government in 2007 as an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas-funding trial; and the Nation of Islam (NoI), condemned by the Anti-Defamation League for its "consistent record of racism and anti-Semitism." Full Column at Jerusalem Post... The only thing that Pipes missed was the Obama connection to the recent Chicago story of the sharia-compliant Sunrise Equities scandal, in which approximately 150 mostly Muslim investors lost a total of $80 million. Sunrise was a Muslim owned and operated company. It's CEO and other officers vanished - with the money - in mid-August. SEE "Obama's Connections to Sunrise Equities, Part Two."

Hamas and Fatah Committed Human Rights Violations

Can this be true? Say it ain't so! I am shocked, shocked I tell you! Human Rights Watch says Hamas and Fatah are mean people! Palestinian security forces loyal to Hamas and Fatah have both carried out serious human rights abuses over the past year, including arbitrary arrests and torture, according to a report on the bitter power struggle between the groups. Hard to believe, isn't it? Surely there is some mistake. Hamas and Fatah are peace loving, kind-hearted groups that just want to get along, aren't they? Human Rights Watch, in the report released on Wednesday, cited a pattern of politically motivated arrests, mock executions and severe beatings in detention centers run by Hamas Islamists in the Gaza Strip and President Mahmoud Abbas’s secular Fatah faction in the West Bank. FULL ARTICLE at Haaretz.com... Perhaps we've misjudged the Islamofascists. Maybe they're really not as nice as the Democrats want us to believe after all. O bitter disillusionment! FLASHBACK: Mayor Daley Calls Alderman Moore Incompetent

MOORE MAKES FOOL OF SELF ON RADIO

Alderman Joe Moore put another nail in the coffin of his political career this morning. (Are you paying attention, Howard Dean?)

Speaking live by phone on WLS 890 AM this morning with morning hosts Don Wade and Roma about the humiliating defeat of his two-year old foie gras ban, Moore said that the Chicago City Council has "lost even the pretense of a democracy." Hear the full interview (6.6 mb mp3 file.)

The 49th Ward Alderman complained that Mayor Daley did not turn on his microphone in yesterday's council meeting, thereby shutting him down. "How did the Mayor cut off your microphone?" Wade asked Moore.

Moore said that a technician only turns on Council members' microphones when they are called on by the Mayor. Moore's microphone never went on, he said, "because the Mayor never recognized me."

He also complained that Daley did not follow parliamentary procedure. Moore then went off on a tangent, starting to tell Don and Roma about his resolution that calls for the United States to "never invade Iran."

"Excuse me," said Wade, "what is the City Council of Chicago doing, voting on whether or not the United States of America is going to invade another country?"

"Well, I'll tell you exactly why," said Moore, and he then rattled off dollar figures related to the war effort in Iraq.

"Alderman, Alderman, stop," moaned Wade, exasperated, trying to interrupt. Moore kept babbling on. "Please," said Moore, "it isn't the purview of the City Council of Chicago to decide whether we invade another country."

Roma changed the subject suddenly. "So when are you going to run for Congress or for Senate?"

Moore danced around that question. "I think my Congressman's job is safe," he said, "and the U.S. Senators' jobs are safe as well." And then he veered right back into the antiwar resolution. "To suggest that we should embark on yet another war….is a folly."

And then a surprise came for the audience.

IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING MOORE'S PHONE INTERVIEW, 50th Ward Alderman Bernie Stone was interviewed.

Stone, on the phone, said Moore was a "cry baby" who doesn't know proper procedure for City Council meetings. Stone said that had Moore followed procedure, he could have spoken, but Daley called the vote without Moore doing what was required. But that's not all that Stone said.

Moore is a "tool of Hamas," Stone said.
He said the particular anti-war resolution that Moore was proposing would serve as a propaganda tool for Hamas, which is sworn to destroy Israel.

The end result of the exchange between Moore and Don Wade, then Stone and Don Wade, is that Joe Moore was painted as a boob who does not understand City Council procedures, is a cry baby who is whining about losing a battle, and he's a useful idiot for anti-American interests.

For Alderman Joe Moore to complain about a lack of democratic procedure in the City Council is the height of hypocrisy. Moore is notorious in his 49th Ward for closed zoning meetings, often ignoring the wishes of constituents, and for alleged voter fraud and allegedly shaking down local developers.

Nuancing Disrespect

The Obama -Hamas issue will not die. Contrary to what some would have you believe, it is not an exaggeration. There really are big time terrorists hoping and praying that Barack Obama becomes the next President of the United States. But the Mainstream Media - most of which backs Obama - is ignoring the story or burying it on page 30. Suddenly, however, the story is exploding with such a bang that it can no longer be avoided.

But the fact of the matter is, Obama has many terrorist admirers. Hamas, for example:

"The foreign minister of Hamas has recently endorsed Obama for president, another story that has sunk like a stone, barely reported other than by Fox and a popular right-wing website, even though Sen. John McCain brought it up on the campaign trail." (Full Story by Jonathan Mark at Jewish World Review...)

What? A story that makes Obama look bad buried by the Mainstream Media? Say it ain't so! It should be noted that McCain is not saying that Obama endorses terrorst organization Hamas (although this blogger certainly wonders). Rather, McCain has accurately stated that Hamas endorses Obama. It is not unreasonable to point this out. Imagine if al Qaeda publicly stated their support of McCain (they have not). Would it be incorrect of Obama to point that out? (It would not.) One must wonder what it is about Obama that makes him attractive to murderous thugs like Hamas.

Obama has tried to play off the Hamas endorsement as something he had nothing to do with. He can't help it, he says, he's called Hamas terrorists just as Hillary Clinton and John McCain have. Trouble is, Obama has yet to disown William Ayers, a former and unrepentant Weatherman terrorist in the 1960's and longtime friend and supporter of Obama.

Obama was slow - 20 years slow by some reckoning - to disavow his "spiritual advisor," Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Of course, not all Left-leaning media are ignoring the story.

Jeffrey Goldberg wrote this at Atlantic.com on May 12:

The Hamas leader Ahmed Yousef did Barack Obama no favor recently when he said: “We like Mr. Obama and we hope that he will win the election.” John McCain jumped on this statement, calling it a “legitimate point of discussion,” and tied it to Obama’s putative softness on Iran, whose ever-charming president last week called Israel a “stinking corpse” and predicted its “annihilation.”

The Left-leaning Huffington Post, for example, has an April 18 posting by Will Thomas that begins with this silly paragraph:

John McCain has repeatedly insisted in public that he wants to run a respectful campaign, but a recent fundraising email from his campaign suggests there will be nothing revolutionary about the Republican nominee's tactics this year.

What is it that John McCain has done, what sin is it that Will Thomas finds so disrespectful? Why, John McCain told truth. Yes, truth, which is anathema to so many Liberals that they cringe at the smell of it, becoming nauseated. Don't look, Comrade! Your eyes may fall out! John McCain, whines Will Thomas, promised - he crossed his heart! - that he would run a respectful campaign, really!

Tears must have come to Will's oh-so-sensitive eyes. He wrote that McCain is being very disrespectful of Barack Obama. You see, points out Will Thomas, "McCain's deputy campaign manager, Christian Ferry, sent an email to donors today with the subject line: 'Hamas Weighs In On U.S. Presidential Election.'" Oh my, how scandalous!

The email, points out Willy Nilly, includes this:

Barack Obama's foreign policy plans have even won him praise from Hamas leaders. Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the Hamas Prime Minister said, "We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election. He has a vision to change America."

And this:

We need change in America, but not the kind of change that wins kind words from Hamas, surrenders in Iraq and will hold unconditional talks with Iranian President Ahmadinejad.

First, can anybody disagree with the notion that we should not be courting praise from the murderous thugs of Hamas? No? Okay, good. Let's move on, then, to very recent events.

Writer Philip Klein wrote a column on May 12 that brings the Obama-Hamas issue up to date.

"Last week," wrote Klein in the Canada Free Press, "Obama described it as a 'smear' that John McCain, in response to a question, correctly noted that a spokesman for the terrorist group publicly expressed support for Obama. But on Friday, McCain was further vindicated when the Times of London reported that Obama adviser Robert Malley had to sever ties with the campaign, because the newspaper was about to report that the prominent critic of Israel had been regularly engaging in talks with Hamas."

How disrespectful of Mr. Klein to report these Truths! He continued in his tirade of dissing Obama:

"Throughout the campaign, Obama and his staffers have dismissed any scrutiny of his views on Israel with a blend of outrage and sarcasm, as if his record of support for Israel is so extensive, so undeniable, that anybody who raises doubts about his actual views is launching an inquisition."

Let's pause for a moment. I've written it before: Democrats and Liberals are loathe to be examined with a bright light. If you dare to aim a bright light at them, you are more likely than not to be called a hater, a racist, anti-children, a knuckle dragger, a fascist, a Nazi or accused of conducting an "inquisition."

Here in Chicago, for example, our Mayor Daley has recently accused people opposed to a children's museum's attempts to move into protected parkland of being "racist" for not agreeing with his support of the museum.

When, 32 years ago, I and other students at the University of Wisconsin successfully prevented the student government from stealing $2,000 from a health insurance fund (and give it to the legal defense of accused - and later convicted - bomber David Fine), we were branded as "Nazis" and "fascists" by the Leftist students on campus. We were... Disrespectful! How dare we try to prevent theft! Why, it's not theft if the Left does it! The ends justify the means, Comrade, don't you know that?

Back to the Obama-Hamas thing, and a brilliant piece by Ken Silverstein in the May 13 Harper's Magazine:

Obama recently severed all links with Robert Malley, an informal Middle East policy adviser, after the latter “confessed” that he had met with the Palestinian group Hamas.

I would be remiss not to ask whether Mr. Malley was being "disrespectful."

Silverstein quotes a recent Huffington Post interview, in which Obama is quoted as saying, “It’s conceivable that there are those in the Arab world who say to themselves, ‘This is a guy who spent some time in the Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein, and appears more worldly and has called for talks with people, and so he’s not going to be engaging in the same sort of cowboy diplomacy as George Bush,’ and that’s something they’re hopeful about. I think that’s a perfectly legitimate perception as long as they’re not confused about my unyielding support for Israel’s security.”

So, Obama, with double talk and poorly attempted obfuscation, more or less admits that "there are those in the Arab world" (musn't say the "H" word!)who, to paraphrase Obama, like him. Or, to put it another way, hope that he becomes the next President of the United States. Was Obama disrespecting himself by saying that?

What was that line about "my unyielding support for Israel's security?" Obama has yet to convince many that his support of Israel is "unyielding."

Back to Jonathan Mark's column:

"Recent weeks have seen a considerable amount of coverage focusing on whether Sen. Barack Obama has too many friends with an anti-American bias, notably his longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright, whom Obama has finally renounced, and William Ayers, a Chicago professor who was a 1960s radical with the Weathermen terrorist group, a friendship Obama dismissed as casual."

"Casual," he says. The real disrespect is Obama's disrespect for the American people. We have a right to dissect his past, just as we all have a right to dissect the past of Clinton, McCain or anybody else who runs for such a crucial office as the one they seek. To brush off questions about past and present associates with known terrorism ties is disrespectful of those asking the questions.

Treasonous Jimmy Carter Admits to Treason

Treason. Why don't we convict people for treason anymore? Jimmy Carter apparently intends to go ahead with his plan to meet Hamas thugazoid Khaled Meshaal where he’s hiding in Syria, despite the State Department’s admonition against it. Well, today Carter openly admitted he’s been sitting down for tea with the genocidal terror gang. FULL POST at LGF...

"Jews, We Have Dug Graves For You"

"Jews, go back, because we have already dug graves for you," leads the story at Jihad Watch, written by "Robert." Robert asks an excellent quetion: "This Reuters story contains a few details about Hamas' genocidal bloodlust that somehow didn't make it into the New York Times story on the same event. Now, why is that?" For more of this story... ALSO: MUST READ "Paris, 2075"
