THE ENEMY WITHIN: US Citizen Dies Fighting For ISIS In Syria (Updated)

August 27, 2014 - Is Islamic State (ISIS) in America? At the very least, we know that there are U.S. citizens who are not only sympathetic to Islamist horde, but are traveling overseas to fight alongside them. CBS in San Francisco reported today that "A U.S. citizen from California was killed over the weekend in Syria while fighting for the extremist group Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, also known as ISIS or ISIL."

"NBC News reported the man is 33-year-old Douglas McAuthur McCain," said CBS yesterday, "who died in a battle between ISIS and another extremist group in Syria."

UPDATE: Another U.S. citizen has reportedly died while fighting for ISIS. On Wednesday, Aug. 27, CNN reports that "a coalition of Syrian opposition groups announced that its forces had killed another American in battle. The coalition, which calls itself the Nahrawan of Syria, did not name the fallen American." [These forces, between a rock and a hard place, are battling the extremists such as ISIS in addition to the Syrian military.] The coalition did not name the killed American and "details on the third American casualty" are sketchy at best.  CNN notes that prior to McCain's death last weekend, another American citizen, Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, "a 22-year-old from Florida who joined al-Nusra Front, an al Qaeda-linked organization that the U.S. government has blacklisted as a foreign terror organization. The group showed a video of him, and U.S. officials later confirmed, taking part in a suicide bombing earlier this year in northern Syria."

Both NBC and CBS incorrectly reported that McCain called himself ‘Duale ThaslaveofAllah’ on Facebook.  McCain's profile was actually "Duale Mahoney;" the web address of his Facebook page is "facebook.com/duale.thaslaveofallah."

He was "Duale Khalid" on Twitter, with the handle @iamthetooth. His bio reads "Its Islam over everything." McCain was seemingly fervent about radical Islam, a sickness shared by many of his friends on Facebook and Twitter. McCain shared this chilling tweet with followers on June 26:

"It takes a warrior to understand a warrior. Pray for ISIS."

McCain's Facebook page has been taken over by somebody else since his death. It's unknown who has control of the page now, which is still up. McCain's sister Delecia posted, "Who ever this is on my brother page needs to get off of it RIGHT NOW this is not a joke" on Tuesday afternoon, August 26.

Non-Partisan Group Says Obama is a War Criminal

May 17, 2013 - Closing Guantanamo and ending torture of detainees was one of his campaign promises in 2008. In 2013, of his former supporters on the Left say Obama is worse than  President George W. Bush in the way he has continued to detain Guantanamo inmates.

In fact, Obama has authorized, condoned and/or covered up torture, drone killing of civilians and other crimes -- and should be indicted. That's the conclusion of The Constitution Project, a legal research and advocacy group, in its "Report on Detainee Treatment."

The charges are detailed in a report and video from The Western Center for Journalism (watch the video below). The New York Times reported the story on its front page on April 16, but it received secondary attention because of the massive coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing.

A NY Times opinion piece on April 16 said that the Constitution Project's report "is also rightly critical of the Obama administration’s use of expansive claims of secrecy to keep the details of rendition and torture from becoming public and to block victims’ lawsuits."

"A nonpartisan group, The Constitution Project, in their mammoth 600-page report, has concluded that Barack Hussein Obama, the 44th President of the United States, should be indicted for war crimes in the authorization or coverup of the use of torture during interrogation on detainees at Guantánamo and CIA 'black sites'," according The Western Center for Journalism today.

The report is also critical of the administrations of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

"Obama originally said when he ran for office that he would close the Guantanamo Bay prison," wrote Rachel Alexander for Town Hall on May 13, "and after being elected in 2009, publicly instructed  the military to shut it down within one year. It is now over four years later, into his second term, and the prison is still open. Most of the prisoners have been there for over 11 years without a trial. Nine have died since it opened in 2002. The scrutiny has intensified in recent months as a majority of the 166 inmates, down from a high of 684 in 2003, have gone on hunger strikes, and at least 21 of the men are being force-fed twice daily. The administration has approved 86 detainees for release, but curiously none have been released so far this year."

Gunmen Abduct 400 at School in Pakistan

June 1, 2009: This is a breaking story, still developing: Police official Meer Sardar said the abduction occurred about 20 miles from Razmak Cadet College in North Waziristan tribal area. The people were leaving the school area after they were warned to get out in a phone call from a man they believed to be a political official, Sardar said, citing accounts from a group of 17 who managed to get away. Around 30 buses, cars and other vehicles were carrying the students, staff and others when they were stopped along the road by a large group of alleged militants in their own vehicles. Nancy Pelosi Can't Even Lie Well

OCCUPIED WASHINGTON – For years, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats criticized the Bush Administration for waterboarding prisoners in the war on terror. Very recently, it was revealed that Pelosi has known about the waterboarding for at least six years. She was briefed about it by CIA. In other words, Pelosi knew about and condoned waterboarding even as she publicly criticized it. Now, Nancy Pelosi is telling some of the dumbest lies ever told, even by a politician. Let's look at what Pelosi said, and see just how bad a liar she is. Julie Hirschfeld Davis of the Associated Press gives us this today (emphasis added): Under strong attack from Republicans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused the CIA and Bush administration of misleading her about waterboarding detainees in the war on terror and sharply rebutted claims she was complicit in the method's use. "We were told specifically that waterboarding was not being used," she told reporters, referring to a formal CIA briefing she received in the fall of 2002. Keep that in mind as you read on. Pelosi says, above, that she was "specifically" told that "waterboarding was not being used." Uh huh, okay. Davis' AP story continues (number and emphasis added): Pelosi said (1) she subsequently learned that (2) other lawmakers were told (3) several months later by the CIA about the use of waterboarding. "I wasn't briefed, (4) I was informed that someone else had been briefed about it," she said. Let's look the six points that I numbered above. (1) Subsequently learned, eh? Pelosi admits, then, that she did know about waterboarding, regardless of whether it was the CIA that told her about it, and shortly after her CIA meeting. (2) She claims that other lawmakers were told by CIA about waterboarding (3) several months after her 2002 CIA meeting - the one in which, she claims, CIA told her that waterboarding wasn't being used. Question: Why would CIA tell her that it was not being used, but only a few months later tell other lawmakers that it was being used? Pelosi now claims (4) that she "was informed that someone else had been briefed about it." If that's the case, why didn't she run back to CIA and confront them with that, and demand that she get the same briefing as "someone else" had received? We can safely assume that she knew, from being told about the other person being "briefed about it," that she knew that waterboarding was being used. Again, why did she not delve into the matter and seek more information? More to the current point, why, six years ago, did she not publicly decry the practice? Pelosi admits that CIA told the truth about waterboarding to other lawmakers, but she claims that CIA mysteriously singled her out for exclusion. She offers no explanation as to why the CIA would tell "other lawmakers" but not her. As pointed out in the AP story by Davis, House Republican Leader John Boehner thinks Pelosi is, to put it politely, not telling the truth (my words, not AP's). AP quotes Boehner as saying, "When you look at the number of briefings that the Speaker was in and other Democrat members of the House and Senate, it's pretty clear that they were well aware of what these enhanced interrogation techniques were," and, "They were well aware that they had been used, and it seems to me that they want to have it both ways. You can't have it both ways." Not in real life, you can't, but were talking about Pelosi, a leader of the the Party of Pretend. It's an old joke by now that if a Republican is caught with his hand in the cookie jar, the Democrat Party and the Republican Party will both demand his resignation. But let a Democrat get caught red handed as he steals the purse of a woman he just raped in the middle of a busy intersection, and the Democrats will make excuses for him and do their best to let it pass. So, in real life having it both ways is usually not possible. In the Democrat Party, however, dreams come true, and often substitute for truth itself. Davis also reports in her AP story that "an official at the CIA neither disputed nor accepted the California Democrat's statements. Instead, George Little, a CIA spokesman, told The Associated Press: 'It is not the policy of this agency to mislead the United States Congress'." That's that CIA being overly diplomatic. The hidden (and probably intended) meaning is that Pelosi is out of her mind or lying, or both. CIA, a government agency, has to be diplomatic in their statements, especially about members of Congress. I don't have to so diplomatic, however, which why I have no problem opining that Nancy Pelosi is a lying, self-serving, two-faced whore of a hypocrite who couldn't lie her way out of a women's rest room without raising suspicion. Islamabad also announced it was canceling all military leave - the latest turn of the screw in the rising tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors following last month's terror attack on the Indian financial capital of Mumbai. THIS BEGS THE QUESTION: Why, then, did Pakistan move thousands of troops to its border with India on Friday? Why was leave canceled for all of Pakistan's military? That seems to be a very odd way of signalling that they don't want war. A man who operated a cable television company was convicted in New York recently on charges of supporting Hizballah, a terrorist organization in Lebanon. Now, an organization in New York is demanding a full investigation "a full investigation of all cable systems through the tri state area after a convicted Staten Island TV operator was transporting TV programs to a Hizballah TV Station that was linked to a terrorist group." The organization demanding the investigation is Manhattan Media (see their press release below). NEW YORK—A Staten Island satellite TV operator, Javed Iqbal, aka John Iqbal, has pleaded guilty to providing material support of a Hizballah TV station, a designated foreign terrorist organization.... Prosecutors say Iqbal, 45, operated a satellite television service known as HDTV Limited, d/b/a HDTV Corporation, that maintained certain of its satellite equipment at Iqbal’s residence on Staten Island.... Iqbal pleaded guilty to a charge of providing material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 24. Hizballah regards the United States as its enemy in this struggle and has pursued its mission through, among other things, attacks on civilian targets. Hizballah was designated on October 8, 1997, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. On October 31, 2001, Hizballah was further designated a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, and Al Manar itself was so designated on March 23, 2006. FLASH: UK PAPER PROVES PAKISTAN CONNECTION

The Hindu newspaper (India) has this now: Contradicting Pakistani denials that its nationals were involved in the Mumbai terror attacks, The Observer reported on Sunday that it had established that Ajmal Amir ‘Kasab,’ the lone surviving suspect, came from a village called Faridkot in the Okara district of Pakistan. The story indicated that the terrorist’s correct name is Mohammed Ajmal Amir, son of Mohammed Amir Iman. (Source: The Hindu)

FLASH: Sec. Rice Hints at Punitive Attacks Against Pakistan

In what may be her last, and perhaps boldest, move as the US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice told Pakistani leadership that they cannot wash themselves of any responsibility for the Mumbia terrorist acts that originated from Pakistan. Punitive military strikes were threatened. The Times of India: Although US officials have not outright approved immediate punitive Indian strikes against terrorist targets in Pakistan, it is clear Rice has bought time for Islamabad to prove its bonafides and promise of cooperation. (Source) That's Rice grabbing Pakistan by the balls. Pakistan has a ''special responsibility'' and needs to act ''urgently'' she said, even as India has indicated it will wait for a Pakistani response to its demands before any punitive action. "Before any punitive action" is Rice squeezing hard, very hard. The response would be not the US alone, not India alone, but a coalition of sorts. The Times quotes Robert Kagan, a Carnegie Endowment analyst, as saying that "international community [could] declare that parts of Pakistan have become ungovernable and a menace to international security," which would theoretically provide a justification for those punitive strikes against Pakistan. AND WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?

What have the lessons of 9/11, Bali, Madrid and now Mumbai taught us? Not much, apparently. Sadly, the West (which has been slumping toward suicide since the end of WWI) has its collective head in the sand when it comes to acknowledging the threat of radical Muslims. Most major news outlets are reluctant to even call Muslim terrorists what they are: Muslim terrorists. Calling them that does not mean that all Mulsims are terrorists; they're obviously not. But the the terrorists in Mumbai, those in Bali, the ones flying into New York and the Pentagon, were Muslims. It is an undeniable commonality, yet it is undeniably denied by the Western media. Raphael Israeli, a Moroccan by birth, is a professor of Islamic, Middle Eastern and Chinese history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and has written more than two dozen books. Jihad Watch has a profound piece written by Prof. Israeli that addresses the foolish ignorance of the West in dealing with the threat of the global spread of radical Islam: The events of Mumbai, the “surprise” they caused, the clumsy fashion in which they were treated, and the almost glorifying attitude meted out to them by the world media, demonstrate, seven years after the September 11 attacks, that little was learned in the West from them, while the pledges of Islamic terrorism to pursue its novel strategy proved credible and feasible. Arab Americans Attack Sen. Lieberman

Right after Barack Obama and the Democrats reached out and made nice with Senator Joe Lieberman, a Democrat who supported McCain, a Muslim group is demanding that he be removed as the chairman of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. BALI BOMBERS EXECUTED

They - and others - killed 212 tourists six years ago in Bali. They were Muslim extremists, Islamists bent on killing anybody not like themselves. Now the bastards are dead, executed as they should have been. The Bali nightclub bombings have been referred to as the 9/11 of Indonesia. Meanwhile, Indonesia is on high alert and watching for signs of retaliation. The three men convicted in the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings have been executed. A report on Indonesia's TV One, says Amrozi Nurhasyim, Ali Ghufron, and Imam Samudra were put to death by firing squad for their role in planning bomb attacks on two nightclubs in Bali in 2002. The attacks killed 202 people, including 88 Australian tourists, more than half of whom were women. And that success is coming from Pakistan in an unexpected way. Despite the bullshit that the Democrats are spraying all over the voters, the war on terror is showing strong signs of success. Pakistani tribesmen are raising armies to battle al-Qaida and Taliban militants close to the Afghan border — a movement encouraged by the military and hailed as a sign its offensive there is succeeding. "Succeeding." That's worth repeating. No, I'm not saying we've won in Afghanistan. It's still a slog, but we have good reason to be hopeful. The Pakistani tribesmen seem to be hopeful; you don't raise armies and march off to battle if you don't have some hope of victory. Perhaps the Pakistani tribesmen are more terrified by the prospect of a President Obama invading their country than they are of taking on the Taliban and al-Qaida. After all, Obama has said several times that he would be willing to invade Pakistan. By encouraging the private armies, or "lashkars," the government is exploiting local resentment against foreign and Pakistani extremists in the area, considered a likely hiding place for Osama bin Laden and other al-Qaida leaders. Obama on Terrorists: "Take 'Em Out"

The other day, in Michigan, Obama played Tough Guy. Like Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, he apparently wants us all to know that he has testicular virility. The Democrats freak out about Gitmo because, as Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) might describe it, it's worse than Auschwitz or Dachau. They insist, as a party, on civilian trials for captured terrorists. Barack Obama, however, has had a sudden change of heart. Or so it seems. He told the crowd, "There should be no conflict between keeping America safe and secure and respecting our Constitution.” He went on to say that his position has “always been clear: If you've got a terrorist, take 'em out, take 'em out. Anybody who was involved in 9/11, take 'em out." [Source] Peter Slevin points out the weirdness of Obama's statements: Obama, who taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago for more than a decade, said captured suspects deserve to file writs of habeus corpus. Calling it “the foundation of Anglo-American law,” he said the principle “says very simply: If the government grabs you, then you have the right to at least ask, ‘Why was I grabbed?’ And say, ‘Maybe you’ve got the wrong person.’” The safeguard is essential, Obama continued, “because we don’t always have the right person.” [Source] So, which is it? "Take 'em out," as Obama told the folks in Michigan, or allow the suspected terrorist the opportunity to file writs of habeus corpus? There's a huge disconnect going on there. Either Obama made yet another gigantic flip-flop or he is again lying through his pearly whites. Of course, we may have misunderstood Obama. By "take 'em out," did he mean "kill them?" Perhaps he was simply suggesting that they be taken out to dinner or lunch. Then, over coffee, the suspected terrorist could calmly ask his captors, "Why was I grabbed? Maybe you've got the wrong person?" To which his captor might respond, "Try the orange glazed chicken. It's very good here."

What If They Win a War and Nobody Noticed?

Victory in Iraq? Yep, and the British press knows it. The U.S. media, however, has virtually ignored it. This was noticed by Investors Business Daily (IBD), an American newspaper, back in July, 2008 in an editorial titled "Winning Isn't News." Still, the U.S. media - which claim to be "objective" - continue to ignore multiple victories in Iraq. Yet news of the huge victories in Iraq - military and political - are hard to find in the mainstream media of the U.S. IBD asked, "What would happen if the U.S. won a war but the media didn't tell the American public? Apparently, we have to rely on a British newspaper for the news that we've defeated the last remnants of al-Qaida in Iraq." IBD then quotes from the Sunday Times (London UK), which called it "the culmination of one of the most spectacular victories of the war on terror." "A terrorist force that once numbered more than 12,000," said IBD, "with strongholds in the west and central regions of Iraq, has over two years been reduced to a mere 1,200 fighters, backed against the wall in the northern city of Mosul." Right. But we had to get that from a British newspaper. Not from CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, the New York Times, Washington Post or any other major U.S. media outlet. Kudos to IBD for bringing this to our attention. Shame on the treasonous U.S. "mainstream" media for purposely ignoring. Oh? You say the mainstream media wouldn't purposely ignore such a big story? So what are you saying? That those major news organizations are simply unaware of "one of the most spectacular victories of the war on terror," as the Sunday Times called it? Perhaps the New York Times didn't consider tremendous U.S. victories as news that is fit to print. Uh huh, keep fooling yourself. IBD's July 7th editorial misses a point, which The Bench will happily point out. To continue with IBD: But where are the headlines and the front-page stories about all this good news? As the Media Research Center pointed out last week, "the CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News and CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 were silent Tuesday night about the benchmarks" that signaled political progress. Yep, no surprise to those of us who study follow the media. But here's the kicker: Yet apart from IBD, Fox News Channel and parts of the foreign press, the media don't seem to consider this historic event a big story. That's where IBD got it (slightly) wrong. IBD wrote that "the media don't seem to consider this historic event a big story," but - in my opinion - the media does consider U.S. victories in Iraq to be "a big story." That, sadly, is exactly why CNN, CBS, NBC and the rest are suppressing the story. It doesn't fit their Liberal template. It would not help the Democrats or, most especially, Barack Obama. Am I accusing the mainstream media in the U.S. of being unpatriotic, of putting political preference ahead of telling the truth? Germans to Obama: Don't Ask Too Much

Obama's trip abroad is not as sweet as some would like present it. To watch the American media yesterday and today, one might think that all is going swimmingly for the Messiah Obama, who has some in the U.S. that he can turn urine into water. Some major German politicians are concerned that Obama's professed desire to increase the allied troop load in Afghanistan is a dangerous one. They have told him this in no uncertain terms. Spiegel Online reports today that "Germany's Social Democrats are feting Barack Obama's visit to Berlin this week, but behind the scenes they are distancing themselves from the Democratic Party's candidate. Leading SPD members are warning Obama against demanding more German troops for Afghanistan." This raises concerns for a lot of reasons, two of which are: (1) Obama's now-demonstrated ability to piss off allies even before he is nominated, and (2) Obama's hypocrisy in wanting to bring U.S. troops home within 16 months if elected, yet his desire to greatly increase U.S. troop numbers in Afghanistan. Not only is there now undeniable proof that Iraq DID INDEED have the YELLOW CAKE URANIUM that Pres. Bush said they had (and other world leaders and their intelligence services), the mainstream media are finally - slooooowly - coming around to the fact that the Leftists and Democrats were the ones who lied about it. KUDOS to the Chicago Tribune for confessing this, for apologizing for it, and for trying to set the record straight. Read this July 10 column by Nancy J. Thorner (emphasis added): An unforgivable omission July 10, 2008 On July 6th there was an AP exclusive that reported how the last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program - a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium - reached a Canadian port to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans. This removal of 550 metric tons of "yellowcake" from the Tuwaitha nuclear complex 12 miles south of Baghdad was seed material that could have been refined into nuclear weapons. It was first discovered back in 2003 when the U.S. invaded Iraq. This AP report should have been headline news in the Chicago Tribune. After all, much of the early opposition to the war in Iraq involved claims that President Bush had "lied" about weapons of mass destruction and that Saddam posed little if any nuclear threat to our nation. The news that 550 metric tons of yellowcake uranium was removed from Iraq more or less proves that Saddam back in 2003 had his nuclear program on hold for building WMD and that he planned to boot it up again. It is unforgivable that the mainstream media, including the Tribune, has virtually ignored the AP story about the recent uranium removal from Iraq. There is an obvious answer for this purposeful oversight: it doesn't fit the media's neat storyline that Saddam Hussein's Iraq posed no nuclear threat when we invaded in 2003. --Nancy J. Gosh, imagine this. U.S. surveillance of terrorists and terrorism suspects is... working! This from the Washington Post, July 6: In the six-and-a-half years that the U.S. government has been fingerprinting insurgents, detainees and ordinary people in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa, hundreds have turned out to share an unexpected background, FBI and military officials said. They have criminal arrest records in the United States. This article should give some Democrats and the Left a collective upset stomach. The ones who insist that we have not been kept safe since 9/11, that is. The Post goes on: "I found the number stunning," said Frances Fragos Townsend, a security consultant and former assistant to the president for homeland security. "It suggested to me that this was going to give us far greater insight into the relationships between individuals fighting against U.S. forces in the theater and potential U.S. cells or support networks here in the United States."
