Clinging to Guns and Religion, Like the Muslim Brotherhood

Taliban fighter clings to his guns and religion.
Original photo: Reuters  Wording: Unknown
Jan. 1, 2013 - Had to share this graphic with you. It's a Reuters photo of a Taliban soldier. It says, "I wonder when Obama is going to tell the Muslims to stop clinging to their guns and religion."

That's a darkly funny reference to Obama's insult to Americans who believe in God and/or own firearms as the Constitution says they can. (I don't know who added the words.) The irony in all of this, of course, is Obama's firm support for the Islamo-fascist Muslim Brotherhood, which recently came to power in Egypt with help from the Obama Administration.

Obama made his insulting comment while running for the presidency in April, 2008.  He was referring mainly to unemployed blue collar voters when he said, "They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." If that describes any group, it best describes militant Muslims. You know, such as the Taliban, al-Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and so many other groups.

Hillary Clinton, running against Obama at the time, said, "His remarks are elitist and out of touch." Watch a video of Hillary criticizing Obama for his "elitist" remark. A few years later, Hillary Clinton would be Obama's Secretary of State, and would help make possible the ascension of the Muslim Brotherhood. Did Clinton ever consider how "out of touch" it was to give so much assistance and political legitimacy to the terrorists of the Muslim Brotherhood?

Neither Clinton or Obama considered the opinion of the Egyptians who would fall under the oppressive rule of President Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood. They should have consulted with Egyptian democracy activist Michael Meunier, who says Obama "needs to stop supporting the Muslim Brotherhood flat out."

"Eye Of The Sparrow" — A Bad Lip Reading of the First 2012 Presidential Debate

Possibly the best one yet from Bad Lip Reading: A brilliant spoof of the first Romney-Obama presidential debate. This is so funny you might want to go to the bathroom now to avoid an accident....

Sept. 30, 2012 - The first Presidential Debate is scheduled for Wednesday, October 3. Get the popcorn ready, kids. This oughta be fun.

The debate will air 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time and will be broadcast live on C-SPAN, ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, CNN, Fox News and MSNBC (more schedule info at 2012 Presidential Election News.)

Nobody knows who will "win," of course. Republican nominee Romney? Democrat-Socialist nominee Obama? The pundits will have their say, as will the viewing public, and there will be disagreement.

One thing does seem certain, however: The Obama campaign has got to be at least a little worried about how their man will perform. After all, Romney is going to want to discuss issues such as unemployment, the monstrous federal deficit, billions of wasted taxpayer dollars (think Solyndra), the trade deficit and China, national security, the failed "Arab Spring," and more.

Obama has spent the greater part of his time in the Oval Office trying to divert attention from his failures. Andy Sullivan of Reuters wrote today that "Romney is under pressure to deliver a performance that shifts the momentum in his direction." Sullivan also wrote that "Obama, on the other hand, merely needs to avoid a catastrophic performance that could cause independent voters to reassess their support."

"Merely?" Even if Obama deftly delivers his smooth answers, it will be a challenge for him to defend his lousy performance in office.

With that in mind, Vice President Joe Biden yesterday urged Obama to challenge Romney to a one-on-one game of "HORSE," a type of basketball game played by two people.

Biden fears that Romney might actually call Obama out for his pitiful presidential career.

Biden said that a victory over Romney in a basketball game would "show the nation who the real man in this race really is."

"Look," said Biden, "I love sports, and there's a lot of similarity to politics." He said that in the game of HORSE, "the players make trick shots and they make lucky shots that are intended to make the other guy miss. You know, trip up your opponent." Biden expressed concern that questions to Obama about his presidential job performance "could be like those trick shots," and that Romney's expected use of hard facts about Obama's failures "would be like those lucky shots to screw up the other guy, the other guy in this case being President Obama."

Little is known about Romney's own skills at basketball, but Obama is well known as a competent player. "Nobody dribbles like Barack," said Biden, "and nobody is better on a layup shot."

Controversial and outspoken New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a Republican, predicts a win for Romney in the Wednesday debate. "I have absolute confidence that when we get to Thursday morning George, all of you are going to be shaking your heads saying it’s a brand new race," Christie told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s "This Week" today. "All he’s got to do is go out there and tell the truth."

Christie, who is thought by many to be better at basketball than Obama, said he hopes Romney "does not dignify an Obama basketball challenge by accepting it. Are they serious?"

Bust a Move With Mitt Romney, Dancer Extraordinaire

Betcha didn't know that Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney is quite a hoofer.  Yep. Here are some videos to 'prove' it. Mitt dances across the stage (above) as you've never seen him dance before in this an animated .gif, actually, and funny as hell.

There is also a video of Romney dancing (below). There isn't any information about the sexy dance Mitt does, but he struts his stuff and wows the crowd with pelvic thrusts that might have made Elvis Presley blush. Or have back pain the next day.

And then there's Mitt dancing a little jig to the music of a busker on Grafton St., Dublin, Ireland. His dance styles are wide and varied, just like his political philosophy/ies.

The final video here does not feature Mitt, but it is about having those "moves like Romney." Dancin' like the Mittster, baby, is where it's at.

Sorry, no dancing horse videos.

What Are They Smoking at Breitbart.com?

Breitbart.com's Big Hyperbole
August 31, 2012 - I am still saddened by the passing of the great Andrew Breitbart.

I am also saddened, however, by the lowering of journalistic quality within the Breitbart online empire since we lost the Big Man.

A weird example of the lowered quality comes to us today at Breitbart's Big Hollywood site, in a post weirdly titled "Clint Eastwood's RNC Speech Schools Late Night Comics." The first line of the post is not only weird as well, but patently false.

The post was centered around Clint Eastwood's talking-to-an-empty-chair-as-Obama performance at the Republican National Convention.

For some reason, the writer wrote that "The American media was stunned last night to see the first Obama jokes ever performed on National TV."  Wait: What?!?

While the American media might have been "stunned" by Eastwood's jokes about Obama, and that's probably an overstatement, I rather doubt that they were stunned because Eastwood's were "the first Obama jokes ever performed on National TV."

The reason for that is quite simple: They were NOT the first Obama jokes ever performed on National TV, as you see by the videos here.

Maybe they don't read Politico over at Breitbart World HQ. If they did, they might have remembered a post from January, 2012 that cited a study by the Center for Media and Public Affairs.

That study indicated that “Republican presidential hopefuls accounted for five of the top ten joke targets of leading late-night TV talk show hosts in 2011.”

That's no surprise, of course, but here IS a surprise: "Still, no one bore the brunt of late-night humor more than a Democrat - President Barack Obama - who had 342 jokes made at his expense. And it was Jay Leno who had the most fun at the president’s expense, ribbing Obama more than twice as often as David Letterman."  We ALL know this to be true, yet Breitbart.com said that Eastwood's performance at the RNC included "the first Obama jokes ever performed on National TV." So I ask again: What the hell are they smoking over at Breitbart.com?

Earth to Breitbart.com: "342 jokes" made at Obama's expense in 2011 - on national television!  Jimmy Kimmel, Bill Maher and Jay Leno - among others - have made plenty of jokes at Obama's expense on national television over the past four years.

I don't think that any of them felt "schooled" by Eastwood's RNC performance last night.

Seriously, I'm losing patience with - and faith in - Breitbart.com and their weird exaggerations of late.

FUNNIEST MITT ROMNEY VIDEO You'll Ever See!

You might need to change your pants after watching this video. It's a montage of clips of Mitt Romney, stitched together and then dubbed over with words he never spoke. He might as well have said these things, however, because they make as sense as most of what he actually has said on the campaign trail (and before). The video is another masterpiece of political humor by YouTuber "BadLipReading." They've done this before. Previous victims were Michele Bachmann and Barack Obama. Oh, and Rick Perry. Hat tips to @CO2HOG on Twitter and Hot Air Blog.

The Next President of the United States

No doubt about it, Hugh Jidette is the man we need to move us ahead, and he's already in full campaign mode. Watch the videos below. Like Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, Jidette promises to tax the hell out of us. Quinn has no problem increasing the state's debt, and he told us he would during the election. Jidette seems to have taken a page from Quinn's book of fiscal management. Borrowing and higher debt is good for us, he says, and who can doubt him?

SNL's Obama Reality Check

Some funny stuff from Saturday Night Live, October 3. SNL has finally pulled its head out of the sand and now views Barack Obama for what he is: A promise breaking slacker. Of course, the skit would be a lot easier to laugh at if it weren't so deadly accurate.
