How NOT To Do a Conspiracy Theory Video

This TikTok video is so mind-numbingly stupid that it begs for deconstruction.

Conspiracy theories have been around for centuries, but the explosion of social media has amplified them exponentially. Some conspiracy theories, of course, have proven to be true. But many, if not most, are nothing more than paranoid people expounding on things they don't understand.

@lovemycountry32, TikTok
We don't know her real name.
As in this TikTok video,
made by a woman who insinuates that the major renovation project of a Federal Reserve building in Washington, D.C. is proof of sinister goings-on by mysterious nogoodniks. In short, she doesn't know what the hell she's talking about.

The  building is the William McChesney Martin, Jr. Building (the "Martin Building"), dedicated in 1974. It's been undergoing a multi-year modernization, and the outside of the structure is full of construction equipment and fencing. There is nothing strange about it.

The woman who made the video and posted it to TikTok on Sept. 8, 2921 calls herself "lovemycountry326." While she technically qualifies as a "citizen reporter," she has no idea how to be a citizen journalist

Let's watch the video and then break it down into all of its gloriously inept elements.

"So," she said, "this is [zooms in] you can see right there, this is the Federal Reserve." [zooms back out]

Note: She never tells us which city this Federal Reserve is in. There are 12 of them around the U.S.

"Okay, so I've showed [sic] you guys pictures of this before, uhm, but it's interesting because I got a nudge to come back and do a live to show you and I'm glad that I did because I just met one of the guys here and sat and had like a 15-minute conversation with him. And it was a very good conversation, uhm, and he is going to get me some information."

Alex Jones Beclowns Himself On Piers Morgan Tonight: Full Interview

Alex Jones on Piers Morgan Tonight, Jan. 7, 2013
Alex Jones on Piers Morgan Tonight, Jan. 7, 2013
Nuttier than squirrel crap
Jan. 8, 2013 - Man, this is hot stuff. Alex Jones was on Piers Morgan Tonight yesterday, and sparks flew. Here is the full video of that encounter, below, which was taped in CNN's studios in New York.

It was one of the best drubbings that Morgan has experienced since rock legend and gun rights advocate Ted Nugent kicked his arse back in May, 2011.

There was a table between Morgan and Nugent, but on Monday there was no barrier between Jones and Morgan. They sat inches away from each other, and for much of the encounter Morgan actually looked frightened, as though he feared that Jones would physically attack him at any moment.

Unfortunately, Jones came of (as usual) as a complete nutter. He's one of those guys who, no matter what he says, it tends to sound crazy. His verbal style is, well, crazy. But the fact is that Jones is a dishonest fear-mongering opportunistic egoist, with a delusional paranoid personality that is either real or very well feigned. VIDEO BELOW.

Did Obama Want Chris Stevens Kidnapped To Trade For Blind Sheik?

UPDATE, Oct. 25: Left To Die: Obama Knew Benghazi Attack Was Terrorism, Did Nothing
UPDATE, Oct. 28: The Indictment of Barack Obama For Murder and Treason

Oct. 17, 2012 - A stunning video accuses Barack Obama of deliberately decreasing security at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya to eventually make himself look like a hero. If true, Obama would be guilty of treason and other high crimes, not to mention more than a few misdemeanors.

This amazing theory and accusation comes from Kevin Dujan,  a political analyst and radio and TV host. As the Western Center For Journalism reports, Dujan "wrote an article and appeared on radio on October 8 putting forth a theory that the attack of the Libyan consulate was tied neither to a video or terrorism, but a botched kidnapping of Ambassador Stevens." Obama was allegedly so desperate for an "October surprise" in the presidential election that he was willing to endanger the lives of all of the consulate staff in Benghazi. Dujan also posted about this on his own website, Hill Buzz.

BUT THAT'S NOT THE MOST SHOCKING PART of what Dujan says. He also believes that Obama made arrangements with the Muslim Brotherhood to, as Western Journalism writes, "kidnap the Ambassador, and through Obama’s supposed affinity with the Muslim world, Obama would save the day and get the ambassador released. But the Muslim Brotherhood wanted something in return. Their beloved Blind Sheik."

The "Blind Sheik," Omar Abdel Rahman, is serving a life sentence in a U.S. prison, convicted for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and for plotting to destroy other New York landmarks. In late September, 2012 the White House announced that he would not be released from prison.

The theory sounds bizarre, but it is also not outside the realm of possibilities. The video here, titled "Benghazi Attack Was Botched Kidnapping to Trade Blind Sheik," was produced by Western Journalism.
At 2:20 into the video, the narrator says, "And how does one guarantee the success of an October surprise? Make a treasonous deal with your enemies. This was the plan: Obama would arrange to decrease the amount of security at the consulate, only leaving Libyan security guards that could be easily paid to leave their post. He then arranged for the ambassador to be taken hostage by a group tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, and Obama, like the cavalry riding in to save the day, would, through the power of his persuasion and affinity with the Muslim world, arrange for Ambassador Stevens's release days before the election. But that wasn't all. The Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi, recently vowed that the 'Blind Sheik' would be released, and Obama had been negotiating with the Muslim Brotherhood.
If Kevin Dujan is correct in his accusation against Obama, then this could be the biggest October surprise ever. It would not be the surprise that Obama was hoping for, however.

Lying Liars: Alex Jones, Jerome Corsi Say Breitbart’s Last Contact Was With Sheriff Joe Arpaio

March 5, 2012 - Alex Jones is claiming that Andrew Breitbart's "last contact" was with Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona. This not only defies reality but also requires a complete lack of critical thinking to be believed. Breitbart died just after midnight last Thursday in Los Angeles. In a March 3 post on the Prison Planet website, Jones featured two videos (parts 1 and 2 are below) with Dr. Jerome Corsi talking about Breitbart's untimely death last week.

Corsi says that the last person with whom Andrew Breitbart communicated was Sheriff Arpaio. HOWEVER, everything that Jerome Corsi says is questionable, as we will see in this post. Unnamed sources, innuendo and hunches are  NOT the basis of good journalism.
Corsi's claim that Arpaio was Breitbart's last contact is in complete contradiction with all other reports about the final hours of Andrew Breitbart's life.

NOTE: The point of this post is not to say that I the Obama Administration isn't evil. (I also expect plenty of hate mail from Alex Jones freaks.)

Obama and his czars have acted unconstitutionally repeatedly. Circus clowns like Alex Jones and Michael Savage who say things that are not quite true or greatly exaggerated, however, offer no light.

What we on the Right need is truth and good information to help us in our struggle against the creeping totalitarianism that Obama and his supporters are bringing.

Jones and Savage discredit our cause and confuse the weaker minded on our side with their fear mongering side shows.

"This back story is about Andrew’s last hours," said Jones at the beginning of the post. "In those last hours he was working with Sheriff Arpaio to get the truth about Obama’s fraudulent birth certificate out to a wider audience." (See Heather Moore's report on CBS 5 News Phoenix here.)

Did Sheriff Arpaio communicate with Breitbart "in those last hours?" A report at World Net Daily (WND) gives this account, which makes no mention of Sheriff Arpaio:

Alex Jones says there was no coverage of this story
"Breibart, the 43-year-old conservative pundit and provocateur who died suddenly early Thursday while walking near his Los Angeles home, had stopped into The Brentwood, a nearby bar and restaurant. There, he struck up a conversation with Arthur Sando, a marketing executive who didn’t know Breitbart but likely was the last person to talk extensively with him before he died." [Emphasis added]

In the first video (above), Jones sets up his loyal followers in the Tinfoil Hat Brigage by noting that the CIA has methods of killing people. (That's a shocker, right?). Then he reminds them that Breitbart said that he was going to release videos and information that would embarrass Barack Obama. (See how this all ties together? No? Me neither. )

Jones is, to put it bluntly, a liar. The description he posted on his video at YouTube says, "The news conference of Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Barack Obama's Birth Certificate yielded one fascinating back story. This is a story which has received no media coverage, but it deserves to get out."

However, that's not true. It's a lie, and Jones undoubtedly knows that it's a lie. The media did cover it. Jones did not say that the story has received too little coverage, he said it has received "no media coverage." As I pointed out above, CBS 5 News in Phoenix covered the story in a report that was a full five minutes in length.

Plenty of other media outlets gave it good coverage as well. On February 21, CNN published "Arpaio: I briefed Santorum on birth certificate investigation," so it's not as though the media is avoiding the story. What then, did Alex Jones mean when he said that the story has gotten "no media coverage?" Do a Google search for "obama birth certificate arpaio" and see for yourself and you can come to only one conclusion: Alex Jones is a complete idiot or an outright liar.

Remember this: Corsi and Jones are saying that "Breitbart's Last Contact Was With Sheriff Joe Arpaio." Not "one of the last," but the last contact. That could only mean that they spoke by phone during Breitbart's last walk, after he left The Brentwood. Neither Corsi nor Jones offer evidence of that.

"So Breitbart says 'I'm gonna release this footage,' all this is coming out," says Jones in the first video, "and he dies hours before it does, when he says he's gonna bring down Obama. And so, I happen to know that's why you're suddenly seeing NewsCorp, ah, people like Huckabee say Obama's a good Christian, a loving good man. I've talked to national talk show hosts off-record, obviously I can't tell you the sources, but I was told this months ago and now it's been confirmed from a separate source, Michael Savage fears for his life, says he's getting death threats, this is internal. And he has bodyguards. And he's now admitted this yesterday so I can talk about it, he has bodyguards and told Breitbart to get some, he's broadcasting from different locations, saying they're out to get him. Okay, and he's not a paranoid guy." [Emphasis added]

Alex Jones: Nuttier than squirrel crap (click to enlarge)
What can we take from that? Jones is so good at taking unrelated dribbles of fact and weaving them into a crazy quilt that it's difficult to know where to being unraveling it. But let's try.

Jones said that "you're suddenly seeing...people like Huckabee say Obama's a good Christian." Trouble is, Huckabee said that over a year ago. There is nothing "sudden" about it. In a February 24, 2011 article, Politics Daily's Religion Reporter David Gibson wrote that Huckabee "has personally articulated, not once but numerous times, his Christian faith. I take him at his word. I have no reason not to. For us to continue to dwell on that is missing the point," Huckabee said in a lunchtime speech at the National Press Club in Washington."

Jones says he has "talked to national talk show hosts off-record, obviously I can't tell you the sources." How convenient, hiding behind anonymity. Jones is constantly talking about OTHER critics of the government who are in hiding and fearing for their lives, or who he claims have actually been assassinated, yet Alex Jones continues to open do his show and does not say he is "broadcasting from different locations" as Michael Savage claims to be doing. Ever wonder why that is? Here's why:

Alex Jones is a sensationalist huckster who is making a very good living at stirring up paranoia and selling crap to his nuttier-than-squirrel-poop audience. That's why. If really believed that the government was out to get him, he would have either shut up or would be moving around, not comfortably broadcasting from the same cheesy, over-decorated studio.

Think about that, Mister and Miss Tinfoil Hat. Michael Savage fears for his life and is getting death threats, says Jones, and that may be true. But Savage and Jones are two peas in the same crazy pod.

And think about this, too: Why is that the biggest anti-Obama talk show hosts - Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin - don't resort to the cheap P.T. Barnum-worthy stunts so abused by Jones and Savage? The answer: They don't need to. They probably get death threats weekly if not daily, but they don't use it as a cheap way to get better audience ratings. Savage and Jones are what Mark Levin would call "back benchers." Sensationalism mixed up in a brew of half truths and outrageous statements is all they've got. If all they say were true, they would not be saying it but would be dead -- or locked up in a secret FEMA camp somewhere.

Enough about Alex Jones: What about Corsi's claim that Breitbart's "last contact was with Sheriff Joe Arpaio?"  Does Corsi claim that Sheriff Arpaio was at The Brentwood, or even in LA County?

In the first video, Corsi says he has "solid intelligence that people at Fox are told, for instance, if they ever discuss the birther story they're off the air." The "birther story," of course, is about Obama's birth certificate. One must wonder if Corsi intentionally lied by saying that or if he is just badly misinformed, because Fox is reporting the "birther story."

On March 1, for example, Fox Carolina reported about Arpaio's investigation and news conference about Obama's birth certificate. There's "Birth Certificate Investigation for Sale‎" by MyFox Phoenix, posted on March 5. Fox is not avoiding the story as Corsi strongly indicated. In fact, do your own search for "joe arpaio" at foxnews.com and you'll see that Fox is NOT avoiding the story. Jerome Corsi, then, is either a complete idiot or an outright liar.

The conservative cause does not need the likes of Corsi or Jones, or Michael Savage. They give the Left valid reason to doubt us. They give us disinformation and exaggerations, which does not help us. They are oppotunists who care only about selling books and advertising, and if that means whipping their idiot followers into frenzies based on untruths then so be it. As for me, I'll be listening to Mark Levin.

Exclusive: How Andrew Breitbart Was Murdered!

March 2, 2012 - Late this morning, the LA County Coroner performed an autopsy of Andrew Breitbart's body today. Coroner's Chief Craig Harvey said an  autopsy was ordered for several reasons, reports Culver City Patch, including the fact that "he was under 50 and he was not in the care of a doctor in the past year.'' Harvey said the autopsy was in progress late this morning.

In fact, we won't know the official determination of why Breitbart collapsed and died for weeks. Late today the coroner's office said that the final cause of death has been "deferred" while waiting for the results of toxicological and microscopic tests.

Those tests could take between six and eight weeks.

Regardless of what the official coroner's report ends up saying, conspiracy theories about Breitbart's death will continue. Was Breitbart assassinated by Obama's evil operatives?

Well, of course he was, and here's how the Obama Administration murdered Andrew Breitbart:
For years, Obama's agent successfully lured Breitbart into working very hard and putting himself under great stress and pressure. They convinced him to not get into better physical shape and to stay a bit overweight. The evil genius assassins in the Obama Regime began this program to kill Andrew Breitbart decades ago, of course, knowing that their plans would cause Breitbart's weakened heart to give out eventually.
Do I know for a fact that Breitbart was NOT assassinated? Well, no, of course not. But do YOU know for a fact that he was?

Now to get serious: To all of those who are seriously thinking that Andrew Breitbart was assassinated, I respectfully ask you to shut the hell up. Really, just pipe down. You're embarrassing the rest of us. You think Breitbart was murdered? Really? Let's consider: Andrew Breitbart was a workaholic, a bit overweight, under a lot of stress, his own father-in-law says he had a history of heart problems, and in his 40s. He died of a heart attack. Wow, how strange, an out-of-shape man in his 40s dying of a heart attack. That never happens, now, does it? Only 50 percent of males have coronary heart disease by the age of 50, which means that it's so unusual and extremely rare that it just must have been a government conspiracy to murder him, right?

Perhaps you're also the type who is convinced that the moon landings were faked, too. Just please, give it a rest.

Updated: Videos 'Prove' Obama Birth Certificate Faked

April 18, 2011 - Barack Obama finally released his long form birth certificate yesterday -- or did he? Was that document authentic? No, according to a YouTuber called "extremumspiritum," who calls it a forgery. I'm presenting this without comment (yet), except to say that the maker of these videos presents a compelling case which, if true, will be one of history's biggest bombshells. He claims to "prove" the birth certificate is a fraud by using Inkscape, a graphics program, and Google's Chrome internet browser.

Update: "On the Titanic, Worried About Obama's Birth Certificate" He offers video "proof" of this claim in two videos. One, uploaded to YouTube yesterday, is titled "Obama's Long Form Birth Certificate Is A Fake!! Google Chrome Exposes Lie!" Extremumspiritum wrote this description how how he "proves" the forgery using Google Chrome: "While using the Google Chrome browser to view the high resolution pdf of Barack Obama's long form birth certificate, I noticed while zooming in on the document that the background disappears. When this happens all of the pixelated looking letters on the document disappear including the Attendents signature but other parts of the test stay intact. This only works with Google Chrome." Watch that video here (he has disabled embedding).

In another video, uploaded by Extremumspiritum today, is titled "Obama's long form birth certificate FAKE. Several layers in pdf document." This video's decription: "I opened Obama's original long form birth certificate in Inkscape. Once there I was able to move the many different layers of this forged document. Somebody forgot to flatten the layers and cover their tracks before handing this over to the president." Watch that video here (embedding disabled).

Was Murdered Chicago Cop Assassinated?

Was the murder of CPD Officer Michael R. Bailey this morning a hit? Was he assassinated? A lot of Chicago cops seem to think so. Several uniformed CPD officers were working the Windy City RibFest in Uptown this evening. I approached the group of seven. "I'm sorry to hear about the death of Officer Bailey," I said. "Thank you," three of them said simultaneously. Their gazes suddenly changed from suspicious anticipation to relaxed comraderie. Cops, after all, are more accustomed to taking verbal abuse than getting sympathy from a stranger on the street. "It's pretty weird that those guys chose a uniformed officer as a target in broad daylight," I said. They all nodded. All eyes were on me. "I don't think it was attempted robbery. They didn't want his car or his wallet," I said, "I think it was a hit. Officer Bailey, I think, was targeted for assassination." Seven nodding heads. "A lot of us think so too," one of the cops said. By "us," he didn't mean the officers standing there in front me. He meant "us" in the bigger sense. He was including all officers in the Chicago Police Department in "us." I have not seen this theory floated anywhere else - yet. Keep your eyes open, officers everywhere, and may God protect you all.

Super Jews and Chris Matthews

Super Jew

Judaophobe Chris Matthews must have a great collection of books about conspiracy theories. No doubt, he subscribes to the stereotype of Jewish people owning anything worth owning in the world.

"Everywhere, there are Jews," writes Stuart Schwartz in "Chris Matthews and the Jews" at American Thinker, "They have penetrated the highest ranks of government, control vast swaths of the economy, and bend nations to their demonic will. But not to worry: Chris Matthews is on the case."

Matthews  seems to think that Jews are omnipresent and omnipotent. If only that were true, my own paternal Jewish heritage would have bestowed me with x-ray vision and, perhaps, the ability to fly. Fortunately, my maternal Welsh Protestant heritage gave me a natural immunity to kyrptonite. Of course, Matthews would see Jews even in the Superman comics.

After all, Superman's father Jor-El had a suspiciously Jewish sounding name. For that matter, Superman's own birthname, Kal-El, sounds rather Hebrew. The creators of Superman, Jerome Siegel and Joseph Shuster, were Jewish but the name Kal-El actually means nothing. While many people with nothing better to do have long wondered about Superman's "inner Jew," people like Chris Matthews go to bed at night worried about the secret Jewish influence in nearly everything around them.

Back to the article by Schwartz:

"Matthews is a protégé of former president Jimmy Carter (notorious for blaming the Jews for everything from his failed presidency to elder abuse) and friend of MSNBC commentator Pat Buchanan, who blames 'U.S. Jewry' for such varied perversions as Hillary Clinton and anal sex in Hollywood."

Gefilte fish
Gefilte fish
Schwartz pounds away at Matthews, mocking the MSNBC screamer's anti-Jewish rants:

"Why, all those 'neocons' with Jewish names, doing the bidding of the Israel Lobby and conservative media. You can't fool Matthews: He knows - knows, I tell you - that the Palins are always there with their nets when the gefilte fish are running in Bristol Bay off the coast of Alaska."

Gefilte fish, of course, is not an actual fish. Schwartz's reference to netting gefilte fish, then, is a fun way to mock Matthew's self-righteous ignorance. ("Gefilte fish" a mixture of carp, whitefish, and pike ground up and mixed with other stuff; see a recipe here. It's a sort of fish ball. So to say that someone puts their nets out "when the gefilte fish are running" is as absurd as it would be to say that cowboys herd salamis.)

"Chris Matthews and the Jews" is a must-read piece, written in a delightfully snarky and exceptionally well documented style.
