Is Harry Reid a Sicko? We Have The Right To Know!

This is huge: A U.S. Senator and a hot scandal involving the molestation of innocent children. Is Sen. Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, a pedophile monster? We don't know, we're asking. The American People demand answers, and we all have the right to ask - don't we? It seems a reasonable question to pose to the man who put so much effort into a bill that would be accurately but not officially known as "The Pedophile Protection Act."

I was first alerted to this potential bombshell by the  wicked graphic, shown here, on Facebook. It's one of those items that makes the rounds on the Internet with no attribution, but I did a search and found a post over at RedState.com with the title "Harry Reid is a pedophile." It begins with this:

"I got that from a reliable source who made me promise not to reveal his name.  But he knows.  Honest. Now I’m sure some would expect me to back up this claim with some of those 'fact' thingys or maybe a link or two.  Well, given that I’ve promise anonymity for my source, not happening.  Just Google 'Harry Reid pedophile' there are 1.79 million hits."

That's not quite accurate, by the way. For the sake of journalistic accuracy, I did a Google search of "Harry Reid pedophile," with and without quotation marks. The results:  Five results with quotation marks, and "about 9,840,000 results" without them. But what's a discrepency of more than 8 million Google search hits when we're talking about the alleged pedophile Harry Reid?

The discerning reader will quickly realize that the piece is clever satire, designed to show the hypocrisy and calculated lying by Democrats to discredit Mitt Romney. Reid recently told the media that “somebody” at the Bain Capital told him that Romney has not released his tax returns because he didn’t pay any taxes for ten years. That's all Reid would offer. Hearsay: A rumor he heard, quite possibly while he was being pleasured in a gay bath house for all we know.

It's an old trick, of course: Make wild accusations against your enemies and insist that you cannot name your sources. No matter how absurd the accusation, it ends up sticking in the minds of some who hear. The damage is done. Like a wildly aimed shotgun blast, most of the shot pellets miss their mark but a few reach the target. The damage is done. Goal achieved. That's what Harry Reid and his fellow Democrats do all too frequently. Slam and scram, that's how they work. It's a tactic that's Alinsky recommended.

So we join in asking whether the despicable defender of pedophiles is a pedophile himself. As they say, the burden of proof is on him now. If a few pellets of this shot hit some dimwitted targets who cannot discern satire from reality, so be it.

Urban Dictionary is a source that many people consult when they hear a befuddling phrase or word. While "Harry Reid" is not a confusing phrase - it's the name of a jerk U.S. Senator from Nevada - it does have a meaning other than that jerk's name. Or, at least, that's what Urban Dictionary now says.

So, what's a "Harry Reid?" Urban Dictionary defines it as a "sexual position where you climb on top and then do absolutely nothing. Named for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)."

Why would they name a sex act after Harry  Reid? As Urban Dictionary explains, it's for his lack of leadership and, essentially, being a do-nothing politician. One of the examples of how to use the phrase "Harry Reid" in a sentence:

"He talked a big game, but it turns out he was completely clueless. It was like sleeping with 'Harry Reid'."

And why not? It's only fitting that one of the top clowns in the Democrat Party should have a sexual position named after him. After all, Democrats are obsessed with sex. The only irony is that Reid is one of the least likely in his party to actually get any.

Echoes of History on 9/11

"Remember 9/11" has become the modern equivalent of "Remember the Alamo." The attacks on America on September 11, 2001 and the final attack of the siege of the Alamo in Texas on March 6, 1836 and the defense of England in World War II are profoundly different in terms of their causes and their purposes. But a common thread runs through them: Heroism, conviction, sacrifice, loyalty. There are lessons to be learned from these events; too many to list them all. Here are few. Most are inspiring. One, however, is sobering. 1) "Remember the Alamo" At the Alamo in San Antonio, then called Bejar, 150 Texas rebels led by William Barret Travis made their stand against Santa Anna's vastly superior Mexican army. On the second day of the siege, February 24, 1836, Travis called for reinforcements with this heroic message: "I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism, and everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid with all dispatch. ...VICTORY OR DEATH." (From the Texas State Library and Archives) 2) "Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death" William Travis's words echo those spoken 61 years earlier by Patrich Henry on March 23, 1775. That's when he gave his immortal "give me liberty, or give me death" speech during a meeting of Virginia's delegates in which they were trying to decide whether to join with other colonies in the war against England. Patrick Henry gave a moving speech which is credited by some for pursuading the delegates to vote in favor of joining the revolution. He spoke without notes. The final words of his speech: "Gentlemen may cry, 'Peace! Peace!' - but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!" (Read the full speech here.) It must be remembered that to speak such words then was to risk being convicted and hanged for treason. Within the final communication from William Travis, the spirit of "do or die" reverberates still, as with the words of Patrick Henry. Faced with an overwhelming enemy, whether in Texas or Virginia, we as a nation do not give up. 3) "We Shall Never Surrender" Winston Churchill shared that spirit. It is not uniquely American, of course. During World War II, England was in dire straits. Hitler's forces had already occupied much of Europe and posed an imminent and deadly threat to the English when, on June 4, 1940, Churchill gave his powerful "we shall never surrender" speech to the House of Commons. The best known portion of that speech: "We shall not flag nor fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France and on the seas and oceans; we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air. We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be; we shall fight on beaches, landing grounds, in fields, in streets and on the hills. We shall never surrender and even if, which I do not for the moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, will carry on the struggle until in God's good time the New World with all its power and might, sets forth to the liberation and rescue of the Old." (Full speech here.) Churchill's "we shall never surrender," in 1940, echoed Travis's "I shall never surrender or retreat" of 1836. Just as Churchill and the British were willing to defend their homeland "whatever the cost may be," Travis and his fellow Texans were willing die rather than give up. The Brits of WWII, Patrick Henry and his fellow American revolutionaries, William Travis and his Texans were cut from the same cloth. 4) "The Steel Of American Resolve" "Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve." Those words were spoken by Pres. George W. Bush on September 11, 2001, just hours after the worst attack on American soil in history. (Full speech.) Bush echoed the spirit of "never give up." 5) "This War Is Lost" On April 20, 2007, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) injected shameful words into the long time stream of bravery and resolve shared by Americans, British, and other brave souls throughout the world and history. "I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and — you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows — (know) this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday," said Reid. Imagine a U.S. Senator saying such words during WWII upon hearing the news of a particularly bloody battle against Nazi forces. "This war is lost" is hardly in sync with Patrick Henry, William Travis or Winston Churchill. Reid is the antithesis of those men. The lessons we learn here are simple: There are many brave and compassionate people who are willing to fight and even die for a worthy cause. Those people do not give up, they do not surrender. On the other hand, there are those like Harry Reid who are cowardly, eager to give in to circumstance, not willing to try, and are more concerned with their own political comfort than with being down with the struggle at hand. Had Harry Reid been alive in 1775, he would have fled to Quebec. Had he been around in 1942, he would have urged President Roosevelt to withdraw from Europe and the Pacific because of "the extreme violence" facing our soldiers. Had Harry Reid been around in 1836, Texas might be part of Mexico today. September 11, 2001 unmasked a lot of people and continues to do so today. It revealed the heroism and resolve of many ordinary people, many of whom did not know they had it in them. It also revealed those who are without those virtues. Many of those cowards knew all along that they had no love of country, no willingness to sacrifice. Too many of them hold elected office. Too many of them are not true patriots. Too many will be re-elected in November.

"Let Candidates Endorse The Tea Party Movement"

A wise and measured statement from Tea Party Nation about the U.S. Senate race in Nevada. This was sent as an email to TPN members on May 21, 2010 (emphasis added): Our friends at Tea Party Express a few weeks ago chose to endorse Sharon Angle in the Republican Senate Primary in Nevada. This morning, I read where they are now citing a poll, claiming that Danny Tarkanian, another great conservative candidate is in third place and calling for him to leave the race. At Tea Party Nation, we have taken the position that where there are multiple conservative candidates, we should not make an endorsement. We should have the candidates endorse the Tea Party Movement. At Tea Party Nation, we do not consider asking a conservative candidate to quit a race to be an appropriate thing to do. Especially when this comes from a national group. Nevada has many good Tea Party groups and any call for a candidate to withdraw should come from those groups who are familiar with local politics, not a national group. The citizens of Nevada are fortunate to have a number of good choices to replace Harry Reid. These include Danny Tarkanian, Sharon Angle, Chad Christiansen, and Bill Parsons. This statement should not be read as a civil war in the Tea Party Movement. The folks over at Tea Party Express are our friends. They were kind enough to invite Tea Party Nation to join them at the huge event in Searchlight, NV and we believe their hearts are in the right place, just not their strategy. Our theme at Tea Party Nation, as we go into the convention, is unity. This movement must be united to win this fall. We do not think having a national Tea Party group come in and pick someone as “the tea party candidate” is the right way to go about this. Fake Nevada Tea Party Funded by Liberals

March 11, 2010 - This is not the first time, nor the last time, that this will happen. The liberals, Leftists and some parts of the Rahm Emanuel-David Plouffe Dirty Tricks Bureau of the Democrat Party are funding fake "tea parties" around the country. The reason is obvious: To infiltrate, obfuscate, confuse and divert the enemy. The enemy, of course, being you and me - conservatives who support the Tea Party movements across the U.S. One such case is the Tea Party Nation (TPN), an authentic tea party group, and a fake tea party group called "Tea Party Nevada." Tea Party Nation sponsored the recent National Tea Party Convention, at which Sarah Palin spoke. Tea Party Nation sent this message to members, of which I am one, today: A message to all members of Tea Party Nation It has recently come to our attention that an email is circulating referring to the newly established liberal-funded Tea Party of Nevada as TPN. This email repeatedly disparages the Tea Party group using the acronym TPN. TPN - Tea Party Nation is Trademarked. If you receive this email or have forwarded this email, please make any and all attempts to correct this misinformation. TPN (Tea Party Nation) is against the formation of a third party political party. Thank you for your help in this matter. Why Did Red Eye Cover Omit Bill Clinton?

What's missing from the January 12 edition of Red Eye (Chicago)? An image of Bill Clinton, that's what. The cover shows US Senator Harry Reid and former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich saying "Sorry" to former Illinois State Senator Barack Obama for racially insensitive remarks. Blago said he was "blacker" than Obama. Reid praised him for being light skinned and not using "negro" dialect. Bill Clinton, the nation's first Black president, said that Obama would have been serving him coffee a few years ago. While Clinton's remark is also in the news, the media is giving his remark much less coverage than they are giving to the Reid and Blago remarks. A new book, "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime," gives details an incident in which Clinton was "belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended [Sen. Ted] Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee." (Emphasis added.) So, where is Bill Clinton on the Red Eye cover today, and when will he apologize? Bill Clinton Wants Obama to Bring More Coffee

Incredible, but not surprising. The nation recently learned about Sen. Harry Reid's racist remarks about Candidate Obama being light skinned and praising him for not using "negro dialect." That's gotten a lot of play in the media, as has the revelation of Rod Blagojevich having told Esquire Magazine that he considered himself to be "more black" than Obama. A third prominent Democrat has made racially offensive remarks about Obama, and his name is Bill Clinton. Clinton, you may recall, was widely called the nation's "first black president" by Democrats both Black and White. Hardee har. A new book, "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime," gives details an incident in which Clinton was "belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended [Sen. Ted] Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee." (Emphasis added.) That's even worse than what Reid or Blago said. Even so, the big media are giving the Clinton remark far less play than the Reid and Blago slurs are getting. The obvious theory is that the Media are giving the First Black President a pass, but that's just a theory. Perhaps you have a better theory. If you do, you might also believe that the Democrat Party's leadership is composed entirely of pure, saintly, politically correct angels. In both cases, you're sadly mistaken. Writer Mark Whittington asks, "Recently revealed racially charged comments by a number of Democratic politicians have raised the question, how prevalent is racism among the leaders of the Democratic Party?
