Many weren't even protesters; a lot of signs were for Ron Paul. Many of the usual nut cases were in attendance, and dozens were carted off by the Evil Fascist Dictator Bush's Gestapo, then taken away to secret concentration camps. It was a shame to see these people's civil rights and freedom of speech so horribly crushed. You haven't heard about it because Bush controls all of the media. Except for me, of course. He likes me.

Bush Signs Childrens' Health Bill
(AP) President George W. Bush on Saturday signed legislation that extends a popular children's health insurance program after twice vetoing attempts to expand it. Politically, the move was a victory for Mr. Bush, although Democrats say it will come back to hurt Republicans at the polls. MORE at Associated Press...
Many Still Upbeat About the War
Some idiots are citing a recent news poll as saying, simply, that "60 percent of the American people" are opposed to the war. Well, yes, but there's more to it than that.
A report from AFP (the French news agency), tells us that the poll actually gives us reason to be optimistic:
US public more up-beat on Iraq war: poll
Six in 10 people surveyed in the Washington Post/ABC news poll judge the war not worth fighting, and a majority still say the United States is not making significant steps towards stabilizing the war-torn country, it said.
Plenty of morons reported the above. But they ignored the rest of the story:
But the number who did think progress was being made increased by 10 percent to four in 10. More from AFP...

MUST READ: Did Mukasey Help Mask FBI Pre-9/11 Failures?
Author Peter Lance says Michael B. Mukasey, President Bush's nominee to replace Alberto Gonzales, may be part of a vast conspiracy that crosses political party lines.
According to Lance, "Judge Mukasey helped bury the significance of Ali A, Mohamed, a shadowy figure who was working at the time for both Osama bin Laden and the FBI."
This complex and multi-layered story starts in the 1980s and continues today. It involved Presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and the current president, George W. Bush. It involves prosecutors and FBI officials, international intrigue. Lives are at stake here.
Lance asks, "Why does it matter now that Judge Mukasey, touted by the New York Times for his prowess as an anti-terror judge, made light of Ali Mohamed's failure to show at the "Day of Terror" trial?"
He answers his own question succinctly: "Because if Ali had testified, lawyers like Stavis would have ripped the lid off the years of failure by the FBI to stop bin Laden's juggernaut."
Furthermore, "Al Qaeda's capabilities, their bench strength and sheer resolve to strike again at New York might have been exposed years before 9/11, giving other agencies like CIA and DIA a chance to examine the intel being gathered by Bureau agents in this country. At a minimum, Mohamed's exposure at trial would have blown his cover as a double agent and interdicted his supervision of the Embassy bombing cell. But Judge Mukasey, the man President Bush wants to run the Justice Department, didn't want to tip the jury to the significance of his absence."
This is very hot stuff. Read it all, starting with Part One...
United States of What the Hell?!?
Thanks to Kheris at The Living Room in Rogers Park for picking up on my recent post about the current ongoing conspiracy to effectively abolish the United States by means of absorbing it and Mexico and Canada into a new entity, the North American Union.
But Kheris, I fear, may not have gotten the seriousness with which I am screaming about the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). I have great respect for Kheris as a friend and as an intellectual, but she wrote, "As a federal bureaucrat I am somewhat familiar with the word games Uncle plays to tell the story his way. All the same, at first blush Tom's links look like much ado over a variety of agreements that do nothing more than enable the 3 largest players at this end of the hemisphere to play nice together. That's not such a bad idea."
And that's where my point was missed, and exactly what the SPP conspirators want you to think. Cooperation? How nice! Can't we all just get along?
Let me remind you of another union of nations, advertised as a big lovefest: The former Soviet Union. Wasn't that a nice idea?
Less dramatically, and more currently, we have the European Union. What people don't seem to understand is that, in essence, France is no longer a truly sovereign nation. Neither is any other EU member. If legislative bodies want to pass laws in those nations, they need persmission from the EU ministers. Can you imagine the US Congress needing permission from North American Union body of ministers for permission to pass certain laws? Kiss your representative government goodbye.
Kheris added, "Interestingly enough, I haven't seen anything from the conservative heavy hitters such as Novak, Will or Krauthammer." Actually, CNN's Lou Dobbs has been all over this story for a couple of years now (see video below). The Canadian media are screaming loudly about it, and have been for years.
Don't miss this story, people. If things are really happening behind the scenes as Lou Dobbs, myself and many others fear, we might not be able to discuss this openly much longer. For those of you who think Bush is a dictator now, you ain't seen nothin' yet. The coming NAU ministerial bureaucracy will make you look back on 2007 as one of our last years of freedom.

Bush, Others Plot Destruction of U.S.
RPB has been warning you about the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) and its threat to the sovereignty of Mexico, of the United States and of Canada. The Canadian press and Parliament are freaking out about this threat, but the American sheeple are still asleep, more concerned with the latest Hollywood starlet's DUI arrest. When they drag you out of bed and put you in a camp, think of me. Remember me as one of those nuts who was screaming in the dark about this. Whisper to your fellow cellmates, "They tried to warn us. We thought they were crazy."
Bush administration's North American Union SPP plan reveals a totalitarian agenda - The SPP, is basically an ominous "merger" of the largest corporations in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, with the governments of these societies, further backed with U.S. military and comprehensive police enforcement. The so-called Montebello summit of North American leaders, was a mere dress rehearsal of a clique of well-documented Neo-Nazi interests that seek to create a fascist state. In the Neo Nazi sponsored NAU, the people will have what American colonists referred to as "taxation without representation",with added oppression.

Yipes: Bush's Scary Executive Order
Monday, July 23, 2007 - President Bush's newest executive order states that any American citizen who threatens the peace and stability of Iraq and undermines efforts to promote reconstruction and reform there may have all their property and interests seized by the Treasury department without warning. The hypocrisy on display here is astounding given that the only persons in America who are doing these things are the ones who invaded Iraq in the first place and continue to sow chaos and destruction in the face of all time high public opposition. Fidel Castro: The Bulgarians Love Bush, Too!
"As if we were living in the happiest of all worlds!" wrote Fidel Castro, describing President Bush's wonderful visit to Albania. Albania is an Eastern European nation that spent decades under the brutal boot heel of the now-extinct Soviet Union (USSR). Albanians know firsthand what real dictators and oppression are. During President Bush's recent visit there, Albanians lavished Mr. Bush with praise and adoration, a stark contrast to his reception in some other countries. The positive reception Mr. Bush got in formerly-communist Albania has got currently-communist neighbor Fidel Castro feeling somewhat confused.
"Bush is craving after affection. He fully enjoyed his reception without protests in Bulgaria," Mr. Castro wrote yesterday. Whoa! The Bulgarians love Mr. Bush, too?!? Say, that's wondeful!
If the Soviet Union was still intact, former client state Cuba would still be sucking at the teat of their war machine. (Is that a divisive statement? Oh dear.) Memories of past oppression are fstill resh in Albania, but not as fresh as the memories being formed even now by the lucky citizens of Fidel Castro's Cuban Paradiso. Cuba is not, by the way, the happiest of all worlds. The military there devotes a lot of time patroling beaches to prevent citizens from leaving. I mean, escaping. While the United States is currently embroiled in a debate over how to handle the huge influx of people dying to get into the U.S., Cuban authorities work overtime to force their own people to stay there. Kind of like the old East Germany did, ya know? Viva Cuba!
Thanks, Mr. Castro, for a wonderful speech. Viva Fidel!

The Search for Wristwatch One

The good news: It's just a watch, but the Albanians love our president! And they love America! Just when you were getting all depressed, worried that nobody loves the United States, along come the Albanians to remind us that many do.
The AP story tells us that Albanians love the USA so much that they "issued three postage stamps with Bush's picture and the Statue of Liberty, renamed a street in front of parliament in his honor, awarded him the highest National Flag medal and Fushe Kruje town council also declared him an honored citizen."
This is happy news! I'm looking for a pen pal in Albania just so I can get a letter with a Bush stamp on it!!!

The Conservative Case Against Bush
A thoughtful, well written and painful opinion piece from today's Wall Street Journal. Writer Joseph Bottum pulls no punches in his criticism of President Bush.
Excerpt:
So why were conservatives supposed to cheer the president's State of the Union address this January? If we haven't yet demonstrated to the world that we can successfully oppose the jihadists, if we haven't yet brought government spending under control, if we haven't yet established any permanent advances on the life issues--if all that Republican government has successfully managed over the past six years is to inspire a rabid opposition at home and abroad--then many opportunities have been squandered. Every conservative I know is depressed these days, and they are right to be. Under President Bush, conservatism has won only in the sense of not losing as quickly as it would have under a President Gore or a President Kerry. The full article...
Bush Takes Over the Government
I'm rather pissed off about the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), which Mr. Bush is party to. More on SPP in another posting, but you can always look that up yourself. I digress.
This story, dated 1/26/07, from Press Esc. Here's a excerpt:
United States President stealthily took over the Federal Government last week through a new executive order last week that takes away all autonomy from Agencies, according to public interest organizations.
The order amends a series of previous executive orders that culminated in Executive Order No. 12,866, which the White House has used to give itself the power to review regulations before they can be officially published in the Federal Register.
The new order applies the review power not just to regulations but also to what it calls “significant guidance documents.”
(I'm just reporting. You decide.)
