John Kerry To Visit Paris, But He's In No Hurry

Jane Hartley, US Ambassador to France

January 12, 2014 - The Cavalcade of Idiots, also known as The Obama Administration, can't help acting, well, idiotically. Embarrassed by their no-show at yesterday's million-plus anti-terror march in Paris, in a show of unity against Islamist terror, John Kerry will make a clumsy (and too-late) trip to make it look like the Administration cares about the recent victims of Islamist terror.

Nobody should be fooled by this act of insincerity. If they really cared, they would have sent someone. The US was officially represented at the march by Jane Hartley, our ambassador to France. But she was already there and she's not a national leader.

The fact that over 40 foreign dignitaries managed to gather in Paris on the same day, and with relatively short notice, is impressive. However, the so-called leader of the free world, the President of the United States, was conspicuously absent. Sure, Barack Obama's a busy guy. But it's safe to say that those heads of state also have a lot on their plates, yet they were able to rearrange their schedules to pay respect to the slain, show their defiance of terrorism, support free speech, and represent their own nations in a respectable manner.

That was too much to ask of Barack Obama, it seems. He couldn't even send a cabinet member to represent him - and the United States - at the solemn event. Not even Secretary of State John Kerry could be bothered to fly to Paris from India, where he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to discuss stronger economic ties "and set the stage for President Obama’s visit" on January 26.

Kerry will travel to Paris, reports The Daily Mail (UK), "after the U.S. government was shamed for not joining a rally yesterday for victims of the French terror attacks attended by 40 world leaders and a million people." The Daily Mail report says that Kerry tried to explain the absence of a major US official by saying, "I really think that this is sort of quibbling a little bit in the sense that our Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland was there and marched, our ambassador was there and marched, many people from the embassy were there and marched."

Kerry's lame response - that a handful of minor US officials attended the march - seems to demonstrate a lack of understanding of the importance of public relations. It might also indicate an actual disregard for the tragedy of the 17 deaths at the hands of Islamist gunmen last week.

Attorney General Eric Holder was in Paris on Sunday, but he "skipped out early," as the Daily Mail notes in a story with this scorching headline: "America snubs historic Paris rally: Holder was there but skipped out early, Kerry was in India, Obama and Biden just stayed home." He met with European security and terror experts in Paris on Sunday, but Holder did not even go to the march, reports The Telegraph (UK).

Even more incredibly, Kerry won't go directly to Paris until later this week. He'll arrive there on Thursday after stopping in Bulgaria and Switzerland, and then only stay for a part of Friday.

But the US was not the only nation that failed to send a major leader to Paris. Canada's Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney was his nation's only representative at the march. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, pulled an Obama, but at least Harper takes a gutsier public stance against terrorists.

On Saturday, Blaney laid a wreath outside the offices of Charlie Hebdo, and met with RCMP and Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) agents who are working with French security agencies there. On Sunday, Blaney attended an international terrorism meeting, which Eric Holder also attended. Unlike Holder, however, Blaney attended the unity rally march on Sunday.

States Resisting Obama's Tyranny

One of the most important editorials you will ever read appears in an April 21 post on GetLiberty.org. It discusses the fact that a growing number of states are standing up to Obama, reminding him that the 10th Amendment protects the rights of the states, which are the rights of the people, by limiting the power of the federal government. A number of states have passed resolutions that demand Obama “cease and desist” his gargantuan government expansionism and also call to light a set of federal laws and regulations put into effect by Obama that violate the 10th Amendment - and can therefore be nullified by the states. In other words, governors around the country are telling the Obama Regime to stuff it. Titled "The States Strike Back," the GetLiberty.org editorial discusses a quiet but growing louder revolution among state governors, of which few Americans are yet aware: Last week, Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) fired a warning shot across the federal government’s bow with his polite reminder that Texas could always secede from the Union. He also endorsed a resolution affirming the Tenth Amendment that has gained traction in several states, increasing the public momentum in favor of returning power to the states. Full Post... Many Americans seem to forget that, unlike many nations, our is a federal government, not a national government. Or, at least, that's what the Constitution says. Liberals and Democrats have been attacking and chipping away at the federal structure in favor of a national one for many decades now. Why? Simple. States rights allows a patchwork of laws across the nation. If you don't like the set of laws in your state or the culture they help create, you can move to another state where the political, legal and tax environments better suit you. That gives you choice. What the Democrats and Liberals do not like is your ability to choose, for that means they have less control over your lives. Getting rid of states rights only strengthens Washington's ability to dictate the rules. Think Soviet Union: From Stalin's point of view, it would have made little sense to allow Ukraine or others of its slave nations the ability to tell Moscow to go screw itself. They paid dearly for the lack of that right. Stalin, from Moscow, ruled with an iron fist. That's the kind of situation the Founders of this nation wished to avoid by guaranteeing states rights. It is exactly the kind of situation, however, that the radical leftists of the Obama Regime drool over. Getting What You Wish For

Be careful. You might get it. The Sunday Times (of London) dissects the American scene better than most U.S. newspapers do (or can). This is a must read, published Dec. 30. AMERICANS don’t approve of their president (his approval rating is 36%), even more heartily disapprove of their Congress (approval rating 18%), say their confidence is in free fall and believe their children will be no better or possibly worse off than they are. Three out of four think their country is “on the wrong track”. So they say. Surprise: the American economy added more than a million new jobs in the year now coming to a close. It grew at an annual rate of between 3% and 4%. Share prices rose by 5% (tech stocks by double digits), recording increases even in recent weeks when the financial markets were supposed to be collapsing. Exports soared, bringing down the long-standing trade deficit. Last month, supposedly traumatised consumers splurged, increasing spending by the largest amount in three-and-a-half years. Would You Like Superfries With That?

We're number one, baby. Economic Times, India Nov 10, 2007 No country in the world today can match USA as a depreciating dollar makes Uncle Sam shahenshah of the global food marketplace. Certainly there are several macro factors why US food exports have spurted. Rising incomes world-wide, in conjunction with a high propensity for consumers to spend that income on food, have helped spur a 50% increase in global food trade in just five years (2001-05). Young, healthy and wealthy consumers in developing countries are willing to spend far more than their parents on food that is more processed and travelled over longer distances. That has altered the direction of global food trade, making China, Mexico and Asia the hot destinations for US exports. Emerging markets have increased their share of US exports from 30% during the early 1990s to 43% in 2006. FULL PLATE...

VICENTE FOX ADMITS TO NORTH AMERICA UNION CONSPIRACY

I told you so. The sovereignty of the United States may soon be replaced by a European Union-like system, and former Mexican President Fox admitted it recently on Larry King's show. I've been ranting about it for a while now, albeit only now and then. It's all about the North American Union, an attempt by a cabal of Mexican, Canadian and U.S. officials and bureaucrats to blend the three nations into one economic-political unit. Like the European Union, where no member country has true sovereignty any more. This is not nutjob conspiracty theory. Former President of Mexico Vincente Fox has admited that he and President Bush are indeed planning the political destruction of this nation, Mexico and Canada. Los Angeles, CA (Oct. 10, 2007) -- Speaking on the Larry King show, former Mexican President Vicente Fox confirmed every assertion made by Jerome Corsi in his new book, NY Times bestseller "The Late Great U.S.A: The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada" (WND Books, ISBNs 0-9790451-4-2, $25.95, July 2007). Not only did Fox admit that he and George W. Bush have "agreed" to create a common currency, the Amero, he contended that a North American Union is "inevitable" That’s something that Jerry Corsi takes issue with while applauding Fox’s openness on national television. North American Union Drivers License Debuts

You panicked over the proposal of a national I.D. card, didn't you? That ain't nothin', pal.

The impending blending of the United States, Mexico and Canada into one superstate called the North American Union looms large. To those doubters still out there, this is real. There are those who are plotting the destruction of the sovereignty of these three countries.

The plotters include George W. Bush, Sen. John McCain, Sen. Hillary Clinton, and many more Republicans and Democrats alike. Not to mention, of course, their counterparts in the Mexican and Canadian governments. This story by uber writer Jerome R. Corsi tells us about the new North American Union driver's license:

The first "North American Union" driver's license, complete with a hologram of the continent on the reverse, has been created in North Carolina. FULL STORY...

United States of What the Hell?!?

Thanks to Kheris at The Living Room in Rogers Park for picking up on my recent post about the current ongoing conspiracy to effectively abolish the United States by means of absorbing it and Mexico and Canada into a new entity, the North American Union. But Kheris, I fear, may not have gotten the seriousness with which I am screaming about the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). I have great respect for Kheris as a friend and as an intellectual, but she wrote, "As a federal bureaucrat I am somewhat familiar with the word games Uncle plays to tell the story his way. All the same, at first blush Tom's links look like much ado over a variety of agreements that do nothing more than enable the 3 largest players at this end of the hemisphere to play nice together. That's not such a bad idea." And that's where my point was missed, and exactly what the SPP conspirators want you to think. Cooperation? How nice! Can't we all just get along? Let me remind you of another union of nations, advertised as a big lovefest: The former Soviet Union. Wasn't that a nice idea? Less dramatically, and more currently, we have the European Union. What people don't seem to understand is that, in essence, France is no longer a truly sovereign nation. Neither is any other EU member. If legislative bodies want to pass laws in those nations, they need persmission from the EU ministers. Can you imagine the US Congress needing permission from North American Union body of ministers for permission to pass certain laws? Kiss your representative government goodbye. Kheris added, "Interestingly enough, I haven't seen anything from the conservative heavy hitters such as Novak, Will or Krauthammer." Actually, CNN's Lou Dobbs has been all over this story for a couple of years now (see video below). The Canadian media are screaming loudly about it, and have been for years. Don't miss this story, people. If things are really happening behind the scenes as Lou Dobbs, myself and many others fear, we might not be able to discuss this openly much longer. For those of you who think Bush is a dictator now, you ain't seen nothin' yet. The coming NAU ministerial bureaucracy will make you look back on 2007 as one of our last years of freedom. Bush, Others Plot Destruction of U.S.

RPB has been warning you about the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) and its threat to the sovereignty of Mexico, of the United States and of Canada. The Canadian press and Parliament are freaking out about this threat, but the American sheeple are still asleep, more concerned with the latest Hollywood starlet's DUI arrest. When they drag you out of bed and put you in a camp, think of me. Remember me as one of those nuts who was screaming in the dark about this. Whisper to your fellow cellmates, "They tried to warn us. We thought they were crazy." Bush administration's North American Union SPP plan reveals a totalitarian agenda - The SPP, is basically an ominous "merger" of the largest corporations in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, with the governments of these societies, further backed with U.S. military and comprehensive police enforcement. The so-called Montebello summit of North American leaders, was a mere dress rehearsal of a clique of well-documented Neo-Nazi interests that seek to create a fascist state. In the Neo Nazi sponsored NAU, the people will have what American colonists referred to as "taxation without representation",with added oppression.
