May 27, 2013 - We found these three incredible videos that were uploaded to YouTube today.

BELOW:  "10 more Minutes of the Moore EF5 Tornado" is described by the person who posted it: "Raw footage of Fast Unit 53's (Chance Coldiron & Justin Cox) coverage of the Moore EF5 tornado that was used by KOCO5 during the event on May 20th, 2013. We continued to track the tornado through the southwestern side of Oklahoma City and Moore, OK. Prayers go out to everyone affected by this terrible event. If you can help in the Moore or Shawnee areas please do as there is still a lot of work to do."

Oblahoma: "We've Got Your Back" Draws Harsh Comments On White House Facebook Page

May 26, 2013 - For those of you who've been paying attention for the past four years, you know that an Obama promises (a) are rarely kept and (b) can literally get you killed. Just ask the late Christopher Stevens. Obama went to Oklahoma today to look at tornado damage this morning in Moore, the suburb of Oklahoma City hit so hard by an EF-5 twister on Monday, May 20.

Oklahomey (Photo: White House)
In a speech to the people of Moore, Obama said, "When we say that we’ve got your back, I promise you, we keep our word."  Obama, the man of broken promises, the man who let Christopher Stevens and three others die in Benghazi, said that?

The White House posted that quote on Facebook at 9:15 PM ET this evening, along with a photo of Obama looking at a pile of rubble.

Comments immediately began to pile on quickly. Many mocked Obama's use of the phrase "We've got your back" as hypocritical. A lot of the comments, from both conservatives and liberals, ranged from just plain loony to downright bizarre. There even one or two apparent threats to Obama's life (which we condemn). Here is a sampling of a few of the more cogent comments:
  • Jill Jillino yea.. just like Benghazi...
  • Rae Ann McNeilly Really? I don't think Amb. Stevens would agree with you.
  • Steven E. Heicher I call bullshit... Joplin and Alabama - 2011.
  • Jeffrey Veit As he looks to raise taxes on these very same people.
  • Caree Severson Benghazi, Fast and Furious, IRS? yep, he's got your back alrighty then
  • Marshall MacHugh The victims in New Jersey and New York would beg to differ.
  • Brindy Baggins Obama has a heart? Bet the guys in Bengahzi would not agree....
  • Victor Neves That's right Mr. President, just like Sandy, They waited all Winter until something came, way after the election! Don't count on it, people.
  • Sheila Rider The guys from team six wouldn't agree he has a heart or a mind.
  • Heather Bieke Oklahoma hates Obama. Now all of a sudden they want his help. I wonder how many firearms are scattered all over that area.
  • Roy Charles Jr. We keep our word? Unless you're an ambassador in Libya.
  • Elmar Krueger Jr Like the people in NJ and NY that are still suffering, still homeless, etc?
  • Michael Nettles Luckily he's never lied to us about anything else.
  • Irving Rynning Word? What word? Gitmo. Patriot. Budget. NOT being another Bush. Shall we go on? but "what difference does it make?"
  • Chicago News Bench Say, didn't you also promise that "Obamacare" would not drive up health insurance rates? We're bitterly disappointed.
  • Richard Halvorson So how come it took him nearly a week to make the trip to Oklahoma? to busy golfing?
You can see more comments on Facebook.

"It was just one week ago that tornadoes tore through Oklahoma, devastating the town of Moore," says a post on The White House Blog today about Obama's Oklahoma odyssey. Nevermind that it was actually six days ago (on May 20) and not "one week ago" that Moore was devastated. Granted, there were tornadoes in Oklahoma on the 19th, but the EF-5 did not hit Moore until the 20th. But maybe I'm nitpicking. The real issue is this: Why the hell did it take Obama six days to get over to Oklahoma?

If I was cynical (who, me?), I'd say that Obama really doesn't give a damn about Oklahoma. If he did, he would have been there the next day. Instead, it took him nearly a week to fly there. It's no secret that Oklahomans generally despise Obama. Mitt Romney won Oklahoma last November by a whopping 33.5% of the vote. Had it been the other way around, I'm tempted to believe, it would have taken Obama less than 72 hours to visit Moore.

White House To Texas: Go To Hell

September 9, 2011 - Texas - Texas is battling its worst wildfires ever. More than 1,400 homes have been destroyed. The White House, however, seems to be ignoring a request to declare a major Texas a disaster area. Is President Obama deliberately ignoring Texas's desperate plea for help? According to CNN today, "Texas needs an immediate disaster declaration from President Barack Obama allowing access to heavy equipment and other assistance to help battle wildfires burning across the state, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst said." (See his video press conference from Sept. 8 below.) CNN further reports that Dewhurst says that the White House has not responded to a previous request for assistance. When the White House was asked about this, says CNN, "There was no immediate response." Dewhurst is the Acting Governor of Texas this week while Gov. Perry is on the campaign trail. Perry is running for the Republican presidential nomination and could be real contender against Obama in 2012. That previous request was made by Dewhurst on Wednesday, September 7. He issued the following statement after requesting a federal Major Disaster Declaration for the State of Texas: "I've been working very closely with Governor Perry and our emergency personnel, and we're doing everything we can – using all of the state resources at our disposal to contain these wildfires, ensure public safety and protect Texans' lives and property. Because so many fires are burning across the state, our resources are spread pretty thin. That's why we need the federal government to step up to the plate immediately. We need to cut through the red tape and get Texas the help we need today. There are federal resources – including aircraft, bulldozers and other heavy equipment – that can and should be made available right away."
One has to wonder if this is a way for Obama to shove a thumb in the eye of Texas Gov. Rick Perry. While all economic recovery efforts of the Obama Regime have failed so far, Perry has overseen a state in which one third of all new jobs in the U.S. have been created in the past year. In other words, the success of Texas highlights the failed policies of Obama's Washington. This may account for the lack of a response from the White House.

ANOTHER Stupid Gaffe by Hank Johnson

Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA) is like the gift that keeps on giving.
Now infamous for his moronic concern that the island of Guam might "tip over or capsize," Johnson seems to be a habitual imbecile.

We found another of his gaffes (below) of him calling last year's heavy flooding in Georgia a "national disaster," when in fact it was a "major disaster." Hear Johnson's gaffe at 2:54 in the video below.

A congressman should know the correct terminology for what his own state is the recipient of. Dear Leader Obama declared it to be a "major disaster," not a "national" one.

Under Stafford Act authority, "major disaster" is defined as:

A major disaster, according to the Stafford Act, is “any natural catastrophe [...] or, regardless of cause, any fire, flood, or explosion, in any part of the United States, which in the determination of the President causes damage of sufficient severity and magnitude to warrant major disaster assistance under [the] act to supplement the efforts and available resources or states, local governments, and disaster relief organizations in alleviating the damage, loss, hardship, or suffering caused thereby.” The President issues a major disaster declaration after receiving a request form the governor of the affected state. The governor of the affected state must base a request for a declaration by the President on a “finding that the disaster is of such severity and magnitude that effective response is beyond the capabilities of the state and the affected local governments and that federal assistance is necessary.” (1, p. 9)

Theledger.com reports that "scientists say the major earthquake that struck off the coast of Chile was a 'megathrust' - similar to the 2004 Indian Ocean temblor that spawned a catastrophic tsunami." The Contra Costa Times says the quake "shook buildings in Argentina's capital of Buenos Aires, and was felt as far away as Sao Paulo in Brazil — 1,800 miles (2,900 kilometers) to the east. About 13 million people live in the area where shaking was strong to severe, according to the U.S. Geological Survey." Hellish Fire Threatens Santa Barbara CA

May 6, 2009 - The Santa Barbara (California) Sheriff’s Department issued a following mandatory evacuation order due to the changing conditions of the Jesusita Fire. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of arson. Anybody who has information about the original of these fires is asked to call a fire tipline at 805-686-5074. Anonymous tips are welcome. The evacuation order went out at 6:20 p.m. PST (4:20 pm CST) today. Earlier today, there was hope that the fire was coming under control, but around 6:00 pm local time, it suddenly burst back in a vicious way. The governor has also declared a state of emergency for the area. A brush fire consumed homes and raged out of control in the hills above Santa Barbara today, fueled by dry, hot winds that are expected to continue into the night. The fire burned through lush green canyons dotted with expensive homes, burning at least 12 structures and perhaps many more. The job of roughly 900 firefighters was hampered by poor access to the fire area, officials said, as well as winds of up to 50 mph and thick brush that hadn’t burned in a half-century. "We are in a state of extreme emergency,'' said David Sadecki, a spokesman for the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. "We're running very, very thin.'' Full Story at LA Times... Of Hurricanes and Politics

Will the Republicans "dial back" their party in St. Paul, Minnesota this week? Apparently, some people think they should in the event that Hurricane Gustav produces the disaster that some think it could.... and that some even hope it will. This morning on CBS radio, "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer used the phrase "dial back" at least three times. Will the Republicans "dial back" their celebration? Should they "dial back" on the festivities? The less-than-subtle implication, of course, was that it would be insensitive of the GOP to show any kind of joy or happiness at their convention while people are suffering somewhere else. Did Sheiffer, or anybody else, suggest that the Democrats "dial back" their celebrations in Denver last week while Africans were starving, Burmese were being bludgeoned, Georgians were being brutalized, or Tibet still occupied? No, no, no, no and no. Should baseball teams and baseball fans "dial back" their interest in sports during Hurricane Gustav? Perhaps Bob Shieffer could ask the networks to "dial back" on their sitcoms during the impending disaster in the gulf. Perhaps. But that would be pointless. It would be stupid. It would be so.... so... so Liberal. Did the ever-so-sensitive Democrats "dial back" their joyful enthusiasm, drink less, party less, cheer less in Denver while millions of people in India are still homeless and suffering because of flooding two weeks ago? Nope. How insensitive!!! The Democrats obviously do not care about suffering in south central Asia. While Barack Obama and other Democrats spoke on and on of the great suffering they want us to believe is happening right here at home, did they "dial back" their noise makers, their party balloons or their catered parties? Noooope. The world is - and always has been - full of disasters and suffering. For others to suggest that the GOP "dial back" its convention while a hurricane rages in the Gulf of Mexico is as hypocritical as asking anybody else to not smile, not have any fun, not engage in any form of entertainment until Hurricane Gustav has blown itself out, and even then not until the mess of Gustav is cleaned up. Bob Shieffer, I'm sure, will force himself to sit in a corner all week and not smile. He may even deprive himself of food and water until the weather clears up.... everywhere.

Looting in Iowa, Wisconsin

You thought Hurricane Katrina was bad? CANTON, Mo. (WLS) -- As thousands of people who live along the Mississippi fight the rising waters, Governor Rod Blagojevich declares 21 Illinois counties state disaster areas. FULL STORY...

Say, can you tell me where I can find stories about looting in Iowa, central Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and other flood ravaged areas? Say, where are the Midwest mayors and governors whining about rebuilding their Vanilla Cities? (Calm down, I'm just asking.)

Burma: Can't Blame Bush

Or can we? I'm sure the Democrats are trying to figure an angle to blame George W. Bush for the ongoing disaster in Burma, in which over 100,000 people have died from the effects of a huge cyclone. More are dying because of the idiot tyrants running the country. Remember Hurricane Katrina? Sure you do. Will Liberals admit that the Burma disaster is far worse? That the mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana at the time acted not so differently than the tyrannical rulers of Burma, by initially refusing outside aid? Can we all finally agree that G. W. Bush, love him or hate him, is nowhere near being an actual dictator and is certainly not the most evil leader the world has ever seen? Doubtful. Watch for Liberals to start comparing Burma to New Orleans soon.
