Abortion Kills More Black Americans Than The KKK

May 15, 2013 - The nightmarish revelations about abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell's clinic, called a "house of horrors," shook up a lot of people. Gosnell was convicted of first degree murder earlier this week for the deaths of babies born at his Philadelphia clinic.

A lot of people on the Left dismiss the Gosnell case as an aberration. It's an unusual case, they say. They continue to shrug off the reality of the abortion holocaust. Whether or not an abortion clinic is "following the rules," the fact remains that unborn children are being slaughtered daily. Few on the Left  think of abortion as murder; many don't consider an unborn person to be a person. But if were you put it to them this way, they might reconsider: Abortion is the biggest single killer of Black Americans. Bigger than the Ku Klux Klan, as we are reminded by Walter Hoye, founder and president of the Issues4Life Foundation.

Over 86 years, the Ku Klux Klan lynched 3,446 blacks – a figure matched in less than four days if tallying the number of black babies who are aborted.

Walter Hoye, founder and president of the Issues4Life Foundation, shared those statistics at a press conference on Tuesday where black clergy and other leaders gathered in response to the guilty verdict in the trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who was convicted of murdering three newborn babies. 

“Right now to give some of us just a perspective of the impact of abortion on demand in the black community, according to the archives of the Tuskegee Institute, from 1882 to 1968 – 86 years – the Ku Klux Klan lynched 3,446 Negroes,” Hoye said. “While it took the Klan 86 years to accomplish this, abortion on demand in America accomplishes that is less than 4 days.” 

Hoye's numbers are based on the Guttmacher Institute's fact sheet on induced abortion in the United States. That fact feet shows that in 2008, 2.1 million abortions were performed in the U.S. Of those, 432,000 of those abortions were performed on black women. Using those figures, in three days 3,550 black babies were aborted. In four days, the total would be 4,734 aborted black babies. 

Hoye said that over 20 million of the more than 50 million abortions that have taken place since the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade ruling legalized the procedure are performed on black women. 

“Since 1973, abortion on demand in black America has taken more lives than homicides, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and HIV/AIDS combined and has become the No. 1 cause of death in the black community,” Hoye said.  Full article...

Robert Byrd, Ku Klux Klan Recruiter, Finally Dies

The trash known as U.S. Senator Robert Byrd was finally been dropped into history's dumpster after 92 years of life. Byrd was a U. S. Senator since 1959, making him the longest serving senator ever. Before that, Byrd was elected to the U. S. House of Representatives in 1953. West Virginia's Governor Joe Manchin III can name someone to replace him temporarily, but the state's law requires that a special election be held. "A quirk in West Virginia's laws," reports the Washington Post, "appears to state that the replacement will likely hold the seat for the remainder of the late senator's record ninth term, through 2012." Good riddance to Byrd, a stinking piece of garbage and former Klan member. That's right, the Democrat from West Virginia was, for many years, a recruiter and officer in the Ku Klux Klan. I would join in the knee-jerk chorus and say "rest in piece," but I cannot bring myself to say it. Frankly, I hope Byrd rots in Hell. He was a racist before he was elected to the Senate, and undoubtedly remained one until he expelled his last foul breath. Oh, liberals will be offended by these disrespectful words for the dearly departed, but were they offended by Byrd's disrespect for so many of the living? "I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side… Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds." ~ Letter from Robert C. Byrd, to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944 In March, 2001 Michelle Malkin wrote that Byrd, an "ex-Klansman," "allegedly ended his ties with the group in 1943. He may have stopped paying dues, but he continued to pay homage to the KKK. Republicans in West Virginia discovered a letter Sen. Byrd had written to the Imperial Wizard of the KKK three years after he says he abandoned the group. He wrote: 'The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia' and 'in every state in the Union'." (Source: Capitalism Magazine) Malkin went on to note that Byrd filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act (which was supported by a majority of Republicans) for more than 14 hours. What a guy, huh? The Democrat Party's presence in the Senate, as explained by The Badger Herald, will not be changed by Byrd's long overdue departure: "The balance of power will remain the same, as West Virginia has a Democrat Governor that will name Byrd’s replacement. However, the Democratic party has lost a huge Socialist leader and one of the most prolific producers of pork barrel spending this nation has ever seen. You can’t drive down a road or walk into a government building in W.Va. without it being named after Byrd." The liberal-leaning Mainstream Media has always downplayed Byrd's KKK membership, and continues to do so today. In a laughable piece on cbsnews.com today, we read that "After six years in the West Virginia legislature, Byrd was elected to the U.S. House in 1952 in a race in which his brief Klan membership became an issue. He said he joined because of its anti-communism." Really? Anti-communism? Then how does CBS account for Byrd writing about "race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds?" The man was clearly a racist who hated non-whites. He may or may not have been "anti-communist," but that doesn't explain his vile attitude towards "race mongrels" or his neo-communist pattern of voting in Washington. All that racism can be forgiven by liberals, of course, because Byrd was a useful tool who voted their way. His politics, you'll be told by the MSM, "evolved" and he was redeemed. That only applies to those on the Left, of course -- no conservative would ever be described as "evolving" by liberals, much less forgiven for past transgressions. Byrd joined the Ku Klux Klan when he was 24 in 1942. His local chapter unanimously elected him the top officer of their unit.According to Byrd, a Klan official told him, "You have a talent for leadership, Bob... The country needs young men like you in the leadership of the nation." Byrd later recalled, "suddenly lights flashed in my mind! Someone important had recognized my abilities! I was only 23 or 24 years old, and the thought of a political career had never really hit me. But strike me that night, it did." Byrd held the titles Kleagle (recruiter) and Exalted Cyclops. Derrion Albert, Killed by KKK Surrogates

Update: I received this kind note from reader "Trpy" in Santa Ana, California:
 "As an African American, I must say that was the best article I have read. If I were a Klan member, I would retire from active duty and just watch from the side lines."


The Ku Klux Klan couldn't have killed 16-year old Derrion Albert last week in Chicago any more effectively than the black kids who beat the life out of him.

Derrion is the young man who was beaten to death by a mob of bloodthirsty savages last Thursday near the Agape Community Center in the far southside Chicago neighborhood of Roseland. From all accounts, Derrion did nothing to provoke the vicious attack. Witnesses say he was merely passing by, in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Derrion was black. All of his attackers are black. No Klansmen were anywhere nearby.

Fools, and race baiters like Jesse Jackson, Sr. (I will not call him "reverend"), constantly scream about the Ku Klux Klan and their attacks on Black Americans. To listen to Jackson and his ilk, you might think that the KKK has millions of members and is killing Black Americans on a genocidal scale. This is simply not true, and the sad truth is that far more Blacks are murdered every year by fellow Blacks than the KKK is capable of.

Is the Klan omnipresent? Are they everywhere, hiding under your bed and behind every corner? Hardly. The Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish organization that is hated by the KKK, says that there are more than 40 different Klan groups exist, "many having multiple chapters.... including a few that boast a presence in a large number of states. There are over a hundred different Klan chapters around the country, with a combined strength of members and associates that may total around 5,000."

There are 50 states in the U.S. That means, if the ADL numbers are correct, that there is an average of only 100 KKK members per state. There are, on average, more violent gang members in any big city neighborhood than there are Klan members in an entire state.

I am in no way defending or apologizing for the KKK, a group that I consider to be vile and dangerous. We are right to be mindful of them, but the simple fact is that more Black Americans are killed by other Black Americans every month than the KKK kills in a decade.

Consider this: According to the US Department of Justice, 94% of black victims were killed by blacks from 1975 to 2005.

An excellent article by Marissa McGill at Examiner.com (Sept. 4, 2009) noted the ongoing crisis of "black on black" violence. She wrote:

Guns don’t kill people. PEOPLE kill people. What has warped our minds and diseased our souls to provoke us to take someone’s life away from them? Does the African American community suffer from that much hatred, insecurity, and pain that we must murder each other, like it’s nothing? I don’t want to use the term “violence” anymore. We have become numb to the word in our community. Let us call it what it really is: Attempted Self-Annihilation. (Full article)

She's right, in my opinion. However, plenty of murders are done without guns. Knives, fists, hands around a throat, and so on, including the wooden sticks that killed Derrion Albert. Regardless of the weapons used, the weapons did not make the decision to kill or maim.

Will Jesse Jackson and his posse ever rant about the vicious thugs who kill their black brothers and sisters, cousins and neighbors? Admittedly they have, but rarely. You're much more likely to hear the alarmist race baiters scream about the KKK (Jackson-speak for "whitey"). Would Jackson and his followers ever admit that Black Americans are killing more blacks than the KKK could even dream of killing?

Consider these "hate crime" numbers from the FBI:

In 2007, the FBI says there was a nationwide total of 9,006 "hate crime" offenses (source). That's total. Of that total, "Murder and nonnegligent manslaughter" totaled a whopping nine (9). Repeat: Nine "hate crime" killings in all of 2007. Other numbers include 1,116 aggravated assaults and 1,684 simple assaults, but remember that the 9,006 figure includes both violent and non-violent crimes (159 burglaries, for example). All 9.006 are categorized as "hate crimes."

Let's assume, for the sake of discussion, that all nine of the killings were done by Klansmen. Nine black people dead is a bad weekend in Chicago, and tragic to be sure, but it is hardly a nationwide genocidal effort by the KKK. Nobody would call nine killings "genocide," yet the race baiters would love for their simple-minded sycophants to keep on believing that the KKK is on a terrible mass-murder rampage, nationwide, every day. It just ain't so.

The beasts who murdered honor student Derrion Albert did what is done so tragically often in America: They killed an innocent young person, a kid with promise. They did the KKK's dirty work. They killed a black kid. They killed out of hate, but this crime will not be listed as a "hate crime." All of this shows the absurdity of even using the "hate crime" designation. Derrion Albert is dead, but no more dead than he would be today had his killers been drunk white Klansmen. He is no less dead for the fact that his attackers were of the same race.

Worried about the KKK? They're certainly a group that needs to be monitored, but these days they've got it easy. Unwitting surrogates do the killing for them, accomplishing more evil and mayhem in a single drunken Uptown weekend than the Klan ever could. The far bigger worry for Black Americans these days, however, is the black kid walking next to you on the playground. He's more likely to kill you than are the 100 or so Klansmen in your state.

No, not them, silly. It's the Democrat Party. I know your socialist professors didn't tell you about this, so here's some remedial edumuhcation for you. Proof? Here's an excerpt from a great column by Bruce Bartlett. Can you handle the truth? After the war, the Democratic Party held a lock on the South for more than 100 years. All of the "Jim Crow" laws that prevented blacks from voting and kept them down were enacted by Democratic governors and Democratic legislatures. The Ku Klux Klan was virtually an auxiliary arm of the Democratic Party, and any black (or white) who threatened the party's domination was liable to be beaten or lynched. Democrats enacted the first gun-control laws in order to prevent blacks from defending themselves against Ku Klux Klan violence.
