Lonely Commie Protests In Chicago Ahead of NATO Summit

May 18, 2012 - I spotted this commie moron in downtown Chicago ("the Loop") yesterday afternoon.  A picture is worth a thousand words, and even moreso when there are words in the picture.

The lonely anti-capitalist drove two hours from his home in Indiana just to stand by himself on the corner of Jackson and LaSalle, across the street from the Chicago Board of Trade to the south and the friendly local Federal Reserve Bank to the west. I didn't even try to engage this useful idiot in conversation. I knew, and you know, what he would have said anyway. I snapped the photos and moved on. The Loop was quiet yesterday. The only other real protest action of note was a bunch of fools who spewed lies about the petroleum industry in front of the Canadian consulate.

Dumbest Anti-Gun Web Site EVER

The Bench front page... I was scanning the web for articles about the recent post-election surge in gun purchases across the United States. In doing so, I came across a pro-Obama, anti-guns web site that has got to be one of the dumbest web sites I've ever encountered. It's called, simply, "hasobamatakenawayourgunsyet.com" (Has Obama Taken Away Your Guns Yet). The full text on the site is shown in the screenshot here. The question and premise of the web site, "Has Obama Taken Away Our Guns Yet?" is idiotic. Why? Uhm, well, because BARACK OBAMA AIN'T DA PRESIDENT YET! Therefore, whether he wants to take away our guns or not, he can't yet because he currently hold no elected office. He resigned his Senate seat and won't become president until January 20. The idiot's answer, "NO," is actually correct. That's amazing, since the idiot who wastes bandwidth with the site was stupid enough to ask such a dumb question. The funniest part comes near the end. After assuring us that Obama has not yet taken away "our guns" (does the idiot have a gun? Dear Lord), he admonishes us to "get a brain morans," and there are at least three things wrong with that. First, is he telling us all to collectively get "a brain?" Just one brain for all of us? That probably would work well; the time sharing logistics of such and arrangement would be mind boggling (pardon the pun). Second, the moron spelled "morons" incorrectly as "morans." How stoopid is that? Third, it's wrong to insult those folks who, in a sincere quest for enlightenment, visit the idiot's web site. Finally, the idiot has an email link in "tell us what you think!" That link is: omg_my_gunz@hasobamatakenawayourgunsyet.com (What is there to think about? Is the idiot asking for our opinion of the fact that Obama has not yet confiscated any firearms? Perhaps he wants to know if Obama will take away guns, or not. Since the idiot is requesting that we tell him (I assume this is a male, perhaps not, I dunno), send him an email. Start your email with "Dear Brettly" just to confuse the hell out of him.

Environmental McCarthyism

The Climate Cabal, you might call it. (I do.) Al Gore and his crowd are profiting handsomely from the sale of carbon credits, and politically prospering by getting useful idiots everywhere to bow down to the Alter of Climate Change. Their goal: Control Over Every Aspect of Your Lives. “The largest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity,” warns Czech President Vaclav Klaus, “is no longer socialism. It is, instead, the ambitious, arrogant, unscrupulous ideology of environmentalism.” [Source] President Klaus knows repressive socialism first hand. He grew up under the iron fist of the communist Soviet Union. "Global warming," some call it. Now, because they know the evidence is not fully conclusive, and to avoid embarrassment, some call it the generic "climate change." Some scientists are even going as far as saying no, it's really "global cooling." Most of us skeptics, however, see it for what it is: The continuing fluctuation of Earth's climate. Has mankind contributed to it? Perhaps. How much have we contributed to it? Unknown. Credentialed scientists - many who are in no way connected or beholden to corporations - argue that the true scientific method demands continuing research, not a final pronouncement by politicians or scientists behold to government grants that no more scientific research is needed to definitively say that Global Whatever is absolutely caused by Evil Humans. The useful idiots who have bought into the Global Warming/Cooling/Change propaganda will, of course, attempt to discredit President Klaus. They'll use the same tactics they use on any of their foes. He's an idiot, they'll say, a fool. It is ironic that the Bush Haters embrace George Bush's recent "conversion" to the Church of Global Warming. Note to Bush Haters: If the Idiot Bush believes it, shouldn't you say to yourselves "Omigod, Bush believes it. I believe in something Bush now believes in, so the belief must be wrong?" If Klaus is such a fool, then Al Gore should happily accept Klaus's challenge to a debate. Don't hold your breath waiting for Gore to accept. A good editorial in the Wheeling News-Register addresses this: A sort of environmental McCarthyism is at work when global warming is debated. Those who dare to ask probing questions about alarmism over global warming are branded as either evil or simply too stupid to understand. There have been calls that climatologists who do not accept the global warming gospel according to Gore should be forced out of their field.But Czech President Vaclav Klaus, an economist with the stature to shoo away those who would condemn his stance, is demanding answers to some global warming questions.
