President Donald Trump announced Wednesday an expansion of a federal law enforcement operation currently underway in Kansas City to the cities of Chicago, Illinois, and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The operation – called Operation LeGend for 4-year-old LeGend Taliferro, who was killed when shots were fired into his Kansas City home as he slept – involves agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Marshals Service, Drug Enforcement Administration and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.KMBC continued:
Authorities say that more than 225 federal law enforcement personnel have arrived in Kansas City to assist in curbing the violent crime that claimed [LeGend] Taliferro’s life.
