How an Armed Assistant Principal Stopped a School Shooter

Dec. 17, 2012 - The nightmarish school shooting in Newtown, CT last week reminds us that lives could have been saved if some of the staff at Sandy Hook Elementary had been armed. One of them might have been able to take down killer Adam Lanza, thereby saving a dozen or more lives. Gun owners sometimes use their weapon to defend themselves or others but these stories rarely make it to the front page.

Sometimes a gun is used defensively against an animal. Sometimes it's used against a lunatic shooting at kids in a school, and sometimes the hero is a staffer of that school. Assistant principal Joel Myrick, for example, who undoubtedly prevented more killings by using his own hand gun to ruin a killer's day. Myrick used his own pistol to stop a shooting on October 1, 1997 at Pearl High School in Pearl, Mississippi. Time Magazine reported the following:

At 8 a.m. on Oct. 1, Luke Woodham, 16, bookish, overweight, an atheist filled with hatred for God and his own existence, drove a white Chevy Corsica up to his high school. That was already a sign of trouble: the young man had poor vision and was driven to school every day by his mother.

Israel's President Says Merry Christmas (Obama Refuses)

Israeli President Shimon Peres sends his wishes "each of you and all of us a happy and merry Christmas." (Videos below.) That's nice of President Peres, really very nice. He delivered his 50-second greeting in a warm, sincere tone. Contrast that to Barack Hussein Obama, who gave a chilly 3-second "Happy holidays, best wishes for the new year" via Organizing For America, his puppet socialist propaganda machine. Why is it that the president of Israel has no problem wishing Christians a "merry Christmas," but the religiously non-descript, marxist Obama just can't force himself to utter that offensive phrase?

The White House Non-Christmas Tree

God forbid anybody should mention God or - gasp! - Jesus in relation to Christmas. If you're really politically correct, of course, it's not "Christmas," it's "holiday."

The White House non-Christmas tree is a bizarre amalgam of commie icons, symbols and other creepy things. The ornaments feature images of the likes of Mao Tse Tung; one ornament shows Obama's face imposed onto Mount Rushmore. The anti-Christian humanist commie bastids who currently occupy the White House have a tree, but it's not a Christmas tree. Commies strive for a "classless" society, but this is not the kind of "classless" that Karl Marx had in mind.
