North Korea Threatens Nuclear Attack on U.S.

March 7, 2013 - Could North Korea launch a nuclear attack on the United States? Probably not, but today a North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman said North Korea would do just that in a "preemptive" strike.

The reason: The United Nations Security Council today unanimously passed Resolution 2094 by a vote of 15-0. The resolution calls for strict new sanctions to punish North Korea for its most recent nuclear test, which was conducted on February 12. This is the fourth time the U.N. has slapped NK with sanctions as punishment for its pursuit of nuclear weapons. The U.N. vote has the lunatics in NK's capitol city, Pyongyang, in fits of rage.

U.N. Admits Glacier Melting Based on Bad Science

I'm getting tired of repeating myself: The Global Warming freaks are wrong, wrong, wrong and the evidence just keeps coming out to prove it. The panic over glacier melting, for example, which has people losing sleep over the fate of the Himilayan snow pack, has been greatly exaggerated and was based on ... nothing. The United Nations even admits to this now: GENEVA - Jan. 20, 2010 (AP) - A U.N. warning that Himalayan glaciers were melting faster than any other place in the world and may be gone by 2035 was not backed up by science, U.N. climate experts said Wednesday — an admission that could energize climate change critics. (AP report via Physorg.com) To say that this "could energize climate change critics" is a huge understatement. It just adds one more bomb to the arsenal of information that "skeptics" have to combat the hyper-panic propaganda of the Environmentalist Left and Church of Global Warming. The AP report continues: In a 2007 report, the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said the Himalayan glaciers are very likely to disappear within three decades if the present melting rate continues. But a statement from the panel now says there is not enough scientific evidence to back up those claim. In fact, glacier shrinkage seems to be the opposite of what is really happening in the Himilayas. In May, 2009 a Discovery News report noted this: Among legendary peaks of Mt. Everest like K2 and Nanga Parbat, glaciers with a penthouse view of the world are growing, and have been for almost three decades. Growing? For about 30 years? Really? Does Al Gore tell you about that? Late last year, "Climategate" revealed that there is not enough evidence to back up claims of man-made climate warming, that evidence of just the opposite has been suppressed, and that the "evidence" of any temperature shift upward was either fabricated or exaggerated. This latest blow to the credibility of Al Gore and his band of lying liars should - in a more rational world - be enough to finally put the subject to rest. Unfortunately, the global warming/climate change argument has been so emotionalized and politicized that the panic continues among the ignorant. The liars have already done their damage. AP reports that "The U.N. climate change panel said 'the chair, vice-chairs, and co-chairs of the IPCC regret the poor application of well-established IPCC procedures in this instance.'" Meanwhile, governments are imposing expensive and punitive laws based on bad science and outright lies. As long as the U.N. is apologizing, how about a mea culpa from Al Gore? Will Gore be asked to return his Nobel prize? Will the next Copenhagen climate conference be based on reality, or on more junk "science?" UN President Treki Endangers Homosexuals Worldwide

The new president of the United Nations has made statements that endanger the lives of homosexuals around the world. Since June 10, 2009, the United Nations has been led by a 9th Century-minded barbarian named Ali Abdussalam Treki. He was elected President of the sixty-fourth session of the United Nations General Assembly. He is also Libya’s Secretary (Minister) of African Union Affairs, a post he has held since 2004. (See his bio at the UN web site.) The United Nations has been a cesspool for decades. Most of its member nations are led by despots and tyrants. Over the past two days, the world was treated to the lunatic rantings of the dictators of Libya, Venezuela, the United States and Iran. Thank G-d for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who brought a fresh breeze of sanity and the much needed slap of reality into the stinking building for a precious brief time. Netanyahu delivered one of the most powerful speeches ever given in the U.N. rat's den. His even toned, fact-supported message was at once comforting and disturbing. It was comforting because he called for peace. It was disturbing because he stated bluntly just how the United Nations has done virtually nothing to maintain peace. To paraphrase Netanyahu, the UN is run by thugs and human rights violators. Those of us who follow the U.N. are not surprised by Netanyahu's words. We've know it for a long, long time. The U.N.'s top lunatic, Treki, has been making dangerous statements about homosexuals. Sadly, we are not surprised by Treki's words, either: The newly-installed president of the United Nations, Ali Abdussalam Treki, has said that homosexuality is "not really acceptable," writes Jessica Green at Pink News (UK). "Not really acceptable," taken out of context, might be taken as a harmless enough statement. Perhaps Treki is just saying it's not acceptable as a personal choice for himself? No, it's much more than that. Green's report continues (emphasis added): Treki, who is the Libyan secretary of African Union Affairs, opened the 64th session of the United Nations General Assembly Friday with a press conference. One question concerned the UN resolution which calls for the universal criminalisation of homosexuality. This is frightening. Treki's comments, in Green's report, are limited to homosexuals. He says "I think it's not really acceptable by our religion, our tradition," but let us not forget that his religion and tradition (Muslim) also frequently treats women only slightly better than a farm animal. It does not tolerate Muslims who convert out of the faith. It does not tolerate a great deal of the human rights that the UN pretends to stand for, and that we in the U.S. and the U.K. take for granted. Treki – and his fellow travelers – are dangerous indeed. Evil clowns such as Treki simply reinforce the U.N.'s image as worse than useless. Some of my infrequent readers may be surprised by my position on this matter. My more regular readers will not be, for they know that while I have political disagreements over some issues (not all) that involve gay people, I am not homophobic nor a hater of gays. Civil disagreement is acceptable, but violence, as Treki implicity favors, is never acceptable. This is not a Republican or a Democrat issue. Although there are bigots in both camps, the overwhelming majority of liberals and conservatives are repulsed by the advocating of violence against anybody simply for their gender or sexual preference. The non-partisan aspect of this is proved out by statements by both Democrats and Republicans condemning Treki's repulsive remarks, as well as by what is being written by both conservative and liberal bloggers (see links under "Related" below.) Treki did not come right out and say it, but his statements are literally life threatening for homosexual people worldwide. Never forget that many homosexuals continue to be beaten and killed in Muslim countries, some even executed by stoning. Those who are already predisposed to violence against gay people may very well be encouraged by Treki's disturbing statements. Their blood will be on his hands. Cronkite Wanted One-World Government

Sorry, that's just the way it is. Here's proof that Walter Cronkite would have liked to have seen the United States disappear, to be absorbed into an authoritarian global government. Watch this video of Cronkite accepting the “Norman Cousins Global Governance Award” from the World Federalist Association. You can read a transcript here. Another advocate of a fascistic one-world government, Hillary Clinton, was there, too. WARNING: You may be shocked by what you hear in the video below. Your illusions may be shattered. You may have to admit that Walter Cronkite was NOT the pure, objective journalist that 99.99% of other "journalists" have wrongly praised him as being. See related article links below the video. Climate Change Revisionism at BBC

Lemme try to understand. It snowed more than usual recently in Chicago because of global warming. Uhm, okay... And let's see, La Nina cools things down and El Nino warms them up, and we control neither, but neither counts in the scheme of Global Warming, eh heh. What? Global temperatures have not risen since 1998 but that really doesn't mean anything? Wait, wait, it's no longer correct to call it "Global Warming," it's now called "Climate Change" because nobody really knows fer sure? Huh? Say, I'm gettin' confuser by da moment. Mebbe this article at NewsBusters will help me unnerstand... BBC Changes 'Temperatures Decrease' Article to Incite Climate Hysteria In fact, what was once a realistic portrayal of new data released by the World Meteorological Organization suddenly became another hysterical report... (Or will it just add to the confusion?) RELATED: The Errors In Al Gore's Film (35!)

Darfur: Staging Failure

The useless United Nations, and whole continent incapable of helping itself. Sad. Very sad. The sham of "peace keeping" actions in Darfur is one of the great shames of the modern era. Blame Bush? Blame the U.S. That wouldn't be fair. We should blame everybody, particularly the Africans who seem bent on not helping themselves. Head of U.N. peacekeeping Jean-Marie Guehenno said the mission was in doubt because of obstacles from Khartoum, and rights groups urged the world body to sanction Sudanese leaders if they did not comply. President Omar Hassan al-Bashir has refused non-African troops, delayed allocating land to the force in Darfur, demanded the right to disable the mission's communications during "security operations" and refused night flights. "The new hybrid peacekeeping force for Darfur is being set up to fail," said Human Rights Watch along with 34 non-governmental organizations. "The Security Council has responded to this defiance with hand-wringing but nothing more, said Steve Crawshaw, head of U.N. advocacy at Human Rights Watch. "What will it take to make the Security Council act on Darfur?" FULL ARTICLE at Reuters...

United Nations: Impotence on Parade

Once again, the impotence of the United Nations is being displayed for all the world to see. In Burma (a.k.a. Myanmar), the recent and ongoing slaughter of Budhist monks has shocked many obververs worldwide. The Times Online reports today that a "crucial United Nations mission to Burma is facing failure before it has even begun, after the country's ruling generals refused to allow a meeting with the detained democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi." The headline of the article: Burma junta blocks UN meeting. That pretty much says it all. Just what will the UN do to bring peace to Burma? Much hand wringing, no doubt, perhaps some threats of sanctions. Nothing of substance, you can bet. The Economist explains that "The latest round of protests began last month, after the government suddenly imposed drastic fuel-price rises. At first, the demonstrations, organised by veterans of the students' movement that led the 1988 protests, were fairly small. The regime arrested many leaders and sent plain-clothed goons to beat up demonstrators. It looked as if the protests might fizzle until, earlier this month, soldiers fired over the heads of monks demonstrating in the central town of Pakkoku. Some reports said monks were also beaten and arrested." The Times Online report also notes that "UN, Chinese and western diplomats are attempting to pressure the Burmese generals to allow Ibrahim Gambari, the UN Secretary General's Special Representative on Burma, to meet Ms Suu Kyi, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, who has been held under house arrest for 12 of the past 18 years." Here's hoping. But don't hold your breath. The crazy Burmese generals hold all the cards in this game. The Economist leaves us with this ominous passage: As in 1988 and 1990 the Burmese people have shown they want to choose their own leaders. In the past they did not fully reckon on the ruthlessness of the people they were up against. One day, as with all tyrannies, Myanmar's will fall. But much blood may flow before that day dawns.

LOST at Sea

For the second time in three years, President Bush has asked the Senate to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (widely known as LOST, or Law of the Sea Treaty). The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has taken it up. This is not the first time LOST has come up, of course. International negotiators drafted it in 1982 in an attempt to establish a comprehensive legal regime for international management of the seas and their resources. President Ronald Reagan, however, refused to sign LOST because he realized that the treaty doesn’t serve U.S. interests. In 1994, however, President Clinton signed a revised version of the treaty and forwarded it to the Senate. The record shows that the Senate was not convinced that the 1994 changes corrected the problems, and it has deferred action on the treaty ever since. Despite the current administration support, the treaty remains a bad deal for the United States. MORE at Fox News... The far-reaching U.N. accord, covering legal, economic, environmental and security rules for the world's oceans, has been adopted by 155 countries, but has languished in the Senate since President Clinton submitted it 13 years ago.
