Well, sure, but Obama ain't the first one to say this. Bill Cosby, for example, caught heat and praise for saying this a few years ago.
If more people would take to heart the writings of
W.E.B. DuBois we'd be better off. We don't need Barack Obama to tell us what is just plain common sense, and something that we've known for a long, long time.
