October 31, 2008 - An arrest has been made in the murder of Randall Hilderbrand, the manager of Lucca's restaurant in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Arrested was David Sidener, shown at left in a Chicago Police Department mugshot.

Here's the basic information from Chicago Police today:

OFFENDER:  David Sidener - 50 years old Evansville, Indiana

CHARGES:  1 count - Murder - First Degree 1 count - Robbery charges approved on October 31, 2008 at 1:00 a.m.

INCIDENT:  Homicide of Randall Hilderbrand, 2800 block of N Southport Avenue, Chicago on October 15, 2008

FROM STNG WIRE REPORTS: An Indiana man was charged Friday for the fatal beating of a Lake View restaurant manager. David Sidener is charged with killing a restaurant owner in Lake View. David Sidener, 50, was charged with one count each of first-degree murder and robbery, police said. Sidener is scheduled to appear in Violence Court (Br. 66) Friday at noon. Hilderbrand’s body was found about 2:10 p.m. when an exterminator and maintenance man arrived to do work at the restaurant and found the door unlocked. The workers assumed the person they usually met was already inside so they entered the restaurant to start working and found the body dead in the basement, police said.
