Ricky Hendon, Race Baiting Clown

The Southtown Star nails Illinois Assistant Majority Leader Ricky Hendon, but good. Democrat Hendon is the State Senator from the 5th District. He's also a race baiter in the Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton style, but with more buffoonery. Writer Phil Kadner redeems himself as a writer by telling us how Hendon is using the now-tired tactic of calling people who disagree with him racists. Gad. State Sen. Ricky Hendon (D-Chicago) implied this week that Madigan's gambling bill is racist because it would place restrictions on minority ownership of a casino that have never been placed on white ownership - although it could be said it allows average blacks an opportunity to invest that average white people have never had. For as little as $5,000, minorities would be able to buy a piece of a casino. Hendon would rather see wealthy black businessmen allowed to purchase large percentages of the new casinos. Indeed. But Kadner doesn't stop there: If Hendon wants to squawk about minorities getting the short end of the stick, he ought to be talking about the property tax system that funds public education in this state.
