Confidence Men

Wonderful news for Alberto Gonzales! Apparently, the U.S. Senate has so much confidence in the U.S. Attorney General him that a no-confidence vote failed. Whew! Mr. Gonzales must be relieved. I hate to see people bickering, even if they are U.S. Senators. It's just so, you know, divisive. Chuck Schumer's no-confidence-in-Gonzales vote went down tonight, 53 -38 (falling short of the 60 needed for the increasingly elusive cloture)....One frail Senator appeared particularly grim, sitting alone on the Republican side and staring forward with an expression of despondent bewilderment, like his wife had just left him for an underwear model...
