Clean up? What about this pile of loose gravel, Mister Alderman?49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore had a neighborhood cleanup party today, starting at 9:00 a.m. at his ward service office at N. Greenview and W. Lunt.
They missed a spot. In fact, this spot has been missed by Joe Moore for the better part of a year now. The gravel is a hazard to pedestrians.
It is adjacent to a CTA bus stop, and people getting onto or off of buses there are often forced to navigate around or over this pile of pebbles.
It is unsightly, but it is also dangerous. It is easy to imagine an elderly or handicapped person slipping or tripping on it. How many more months will this pile mar the beauty of Morse Avenue?
