Chicago based drummer/bandleader Jimmy Bennington just did two great nights at Chicago's Velvet Lounge on July 5 and 6 with legendary trombonist Julian Priester. But Bennington is not resting. His love of "jazz and American free music," as he calls it, keeps him working overtime to keep up the momentum, as he brings legendary clarinetist Perry Robinson to Chicago for three rare performances in September, one on the 29th and two shows at separate venues on the 30th.
