Fireball Destroys Bayer Chemical Plant in WV
Witnesses reported seeing a red fireball strike a Bayer chemical plant in West Virginia late last night. A similar explosion happened here in 1993. The plant recently started producing a new type of insecticide that works by interfering with insect nervous systems.
It is being reported that at least one person has died from injuries in the blast, and at least one other person was burned.
The best coverage of last night's event seems to be at WSAZ TV, which has impressive video coverage of both last night's explosion and the 1993 explosion.
