Chicago - RPB News - A large mass of ice, known to some as the Pratt Ice Shelf, has separated from the entire land mass of Illinois and is drifting in the direction of Michigan. Experts attribute this to the effects of global warming. Scientists fear that this will cause devastation to the region's wildlife. Two wolves struggle as they are separated from each other on the edge of the large, freshwater inland sea known as Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan was caused by global warming, and the evolution of the wolves was made possible millions of years ago by global warming.
This exclusive photo was taken on the morning of February 6, 2007 in difficult weather conditions: Snow, attributed to global warming, swirled around the expeditionary team as they trudged through sub-zero temperatures, also attributed by experts to global warming. The photo was snapped just hours after the Pratt Ice Shelf split off from Illinois. Looking south, Chicago is seen in the background. (Click photo for larger image.)
