Just What IS a "Chamber of Commerce"?

"The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Chris Adams..." Actually, the full name of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is "The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee." Yes, it's a PAC. As are most chambers of commerce. That's not necessarily good or bad; there are good PACs and bad PACs. The important thing here is that chambers of commerce are in no way official.
