Chicago, May 30, 2009 - A lonely candle burns in memory of Lorenzo Midguel, owner of Anadeisy Grocery Store, at 4757 N. Sheridan Road. He was shot to death early Saturday morning

It is alleged that Midquel was playing poker with his nephew and at least one other man in the back room of the store, which is located just south of the intersection with W. Lawrence, a hotspot for violence in the Uptown.

Midguel opened the store about year ago. The candle was placed in the doorway by family members on Saturday evening.
