Apples of Fall

Thanks to George, staff photographer at The Bench, for this nice shot of crab apples in Chicago yesterday. For those of you who don't know, by the way, these little apples are good to eat. They taste bittersweet and very tart, and can be baked nicely into a pie. The best part: They're free for the picking in parks all over Chicago.
