Police Shooting on Devon: Updated
UPDATED: 11:57 am CDT March 22, 2007 by NBC Channel 5, Chicago:
The shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. at 2906 W. Devon Ave., according to police News Affairs Officer Tom Polick.
...The man then pulled a .45-caliber Glock from his waistband and the other officer yelled that the suspect was armed, Camden said. The officer who had the man in a bear hug let go.
The man then raised the gun up toward the eye-level of the officers and, "in fear for their lives," the officers fired at him, striking him multiple times, Camden said. The man was killed, he said. Investigators said in total, the two uniformed officers fired eight shots... FULL STORY...
