Trump Deports Univision Anchor Jorge Ramos From Press Conference

August 25, 2015 - Univision anchor Jorge Ramos was kicked out of Donald Trump's press conference in Iowa this evening (video below). Ramos just would not shut up, and persisted on asking a long drawn out question even though Trump had called on another reporter to ask a question. Ramos was clearly out of order deliberately disruptive.

The moment of ejection!
The Washington Post reports this:

"Two minutes into Donald Trump's news conference here Tuesday night came the question he tried to silence.

"Mr. Trump, I have a question," said Jorge Ramos, the top news anchor at Univision and one of the country's most recognizable Mexican-Americans, as he stood up in the front row of journalists.

"Excuse me," the Republican presidential front-runner told Ramos. "Sit down. You weren't called. Sit down."  Ramos, holding a piece of paper, calmly tried to ask Trump about his plan to combat illegal immigration. "I'm a reporter, an immigrant, a senior citizen," he said. "I have the right to ask a question."

Trump was having none of it, however, and motioned for a bodyguard to eject him. However, just a few minutes later, Ramos was allowed back into the conference and to ask questions.

"Good to have you back," Trump told Ramos, signaling to him to begin his questioning.

In fact, of course, Ramos had no "right" to ask anything until he was called on. But like the illegal immigrants who jump the border and then demand their "rights," Jorge Ramos has a strong sense of entitlement.  Ramos is more of an activist than a journalist. He makes no pretense of being objective, especially when it comes to "immigration reform." Even left-leaning mainstream media journalists regard him as over the line.

"His blunt advocacy on immigration and other issues has drawn criticism from some in the mainstream media," reported Politico last year, "who say he’s crossed the line from objective coverage of an issue." He is confrontational, and that led him to being ejected from Trump's news conference today.

Trump attempted to give full answers to questions from Ramos about building a wall on the US-Mexican border, birthright citizenship (anchor babies), and deportation. Ramos interrupted each time.

"El momento en que expulsan a Jorge Ramos de conferencia de prensa de Donald Trump," is the title of the video posted by Univision of the awkward ejection. And what a moment it was. I mean, come on, no matter how you feel about Trump - or any candidate - you don't act like a petulant child as Ramos did. He rudely tried to steal time from other reporters.

By the way, his daughter Paola Ramos works for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.
