Video, Photos of Dead Moammar Gaddafi (updated)

WARNING: Graphic images below show Moammar Gaddafi's dead body. These images may be disturbing to some people....

October 20, 2011 - LIBYA - Images of the body of former Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi have been released. There seems no doubt that Gaddafi is dead. Rebels say he was shot in the legs and head when he and a convoy were attacked at 6:00 AM London time.

Forbe's reported today that Libya’s Mahmoud Jibril, head of the National Transitional Council and now Prime Minister, "confirmed in a press conference that Muamma al-Gadhafi was killed on Thursday after a protracted gun battle near his hometown of Sirte. Footage of what appears to be a dead Ghafi appeared on Al-Jazeera and other regional TV stations including Al-Arbiya.

U.N Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon asked combatants to lay down their weapons and reconstruct Libya in peace. NATO officials had yet to confirm the death either." More at Forbes... DEATH CONFIRMED BY NATO... Story at The Mirror UK. The Mirror UK reports that Gaddafi was killed "in cold blood in a drainage ditch desperately begging for his life, it emerged this afternoon." Gaddafi, says The Mirror, "is thought to have fled his car after his speeding convoy fleeing his Sirte stronghold was attacked in a NATO airstrike.... Two fighter jets attacked the vehicles as they fled the Sirte assault, although neither of the planes that struck the convoy was flown by the RAF." More at The Mirror...
Steve Lendman, a far-Left columnist in Chicago, doubts the reports. (See video here) Lendman charges "the Western media" with falsifying the reports. He says that reports of Gaddafi's death are exaggerated. In a column he wrote on October 19, Lendman called Barack Obama and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "unindicted war criminals." Lendman is a communist and anti-Israel activist. His accusation that the Gaddafi death reports are falsified is based on a story at mathaba.net, a pro-Palestinian, anti-Jewish "news" site. One must wonder what Lendman thinks of this video:
