SHOTS FIRED, 6700 N CLARK STREET

Raw Notes from Chicago Police dispatcher: July 22, 2010, 5:39 PM - multiple shots fired, 6700 North Clark, 8-10 males shooting at each other.... blacks, hispanics, N. Clark & W. North Shore shooting at each other ... male hispanic, jersey with "14" on it ran west bound from above ... male black doing the shooting now standing in front of "the liquor store" ... male black described as "no shirt" with "a six pack"... male hispanic white shirt blue jeans long hair headed toward "el station", fired two shots in air ... 5:47 PM - A woman in the 1700 block of W. North Shore says a bullet from the above shooting went through her window. The liquor store owner has no security camera.... Wrap up, 6:52 PM: No reports of injuries via CPD radio frequencies. No mention of whether the guns used in this incident were legally registered, but we strongly suspect that they were not. We also suspect that the shooters didn't give a damn about either the old Chicago handgun ban, or about the new Chicago ordinance that makes legal possession of a handgun as difficult as possible.
