ShoreBank Protest Report by Marathon Pundit

There was a rally against the ShoreBank bailout at Noon on Wednesday, June 9 at the bank's 134 N. LaSalle Street location, just across the street from City Hall. Speakers included Joel Pollak, candidate for U.S. Congress (IL-9) and Rev. Isaac Hayes, candidate for U.S. Congress (IL-2). John Ruberry, the man behind the great Marathon Pundit blog, embedded himself in the crowd. He even disguised himself as a crazy right-winger; that's John in the photo. He filed a good report of the event shortly, with more photos, after it ended: A hearty group of patriots attended a Tea Party protest this afternoon outside the downtown Chicago offices of ShoreBank, the only one of 72 failed banks to receive a bailout since New Year's Day. Why were they so lucky? Because ShoreBank "plays the game" with big Democratic politicians: the Chicago Way, the Al Capone won the Democratic lottery.
