Congressional Candidate for Illinois 5th, Ashvin Lad, Receives Endorsement from The Chicago Tribune and The Chicago Sun-Times
CHICAGO – This week, the Chicago Tribune and The Chicago Sun-Times both endorsed Republican candidate for Congress, Ashvin Lad.
The Tribune writes that Ashvin is "the most impressive candidate," citing his educational background and, more importantly, his private sector experience in both the healthcare and financial services industries.
Moreover, the Sun-Times states, "Lad is the GOP's best bet against incumbent U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley in the fall general election in this heavily Democratic district." They also pointed to Ashvin's Republican credentials of being "pro-business" and "anti-tax".
In response to the endorsement from both publications, Ashvin Lad stated, “I’m very grateful to receive these endorsements and to see they recognize my experience and ability to bring job growth and private sector growth to the fifth district.”
This endorsement is the latest of many for Lad, mainly due to his real-life experience in the fields of healthcare and financial services, his ability to compete in a heavy Democrat district, and the solutions he can bring to the most important issues facing our country.
