SPRINGFIELD, IL - January 12, 2010 - The Republican Liberty Caucus of Illinois announced that they are endorsing Adam Andrzejewski for the Republican Nomination for Illinois Governor. According to the group, after thorough research into all the candidates Andrzejewski had the best credentials to reform state government, bring jobs back to Illinois and resolve the lingering budget crisis.
Responding to the endorsement, Andrzejewski said, “The mission of the Republican Liberty Caucus is to serve as the conscience of the Republican Party. No more is that needed than in Illinois and their endorsement is a validation of my campaign as the true outsider to bring reform to Illinois.”
According to John Bambenek, who announced the endorsement, “It is clear that the only candidate running on sound and functional policies is Adam Andrzejewski. He has the charisma and cache to bring real reform to Illinois and provides the Republicans the best opportunity to win in November. Andrzejewski means jobs for Illinois.”
Bolstering his case with the Republican Liberty Caucus was Andrzejewski’s support of the Put-Back Amendment, his commitment to reform and his support for constitutional spending caps. According to Bambenek, “Enforceable constitutional spending caps are the only effective protection from a runaway government spending further and further into debt, like Illinois has done for years. ‘Statutory spending caps’ are completely ineffective because they can be voided by law trivially which is why they’ve never been implemented anywhere in the nation. Constitutional spending caps will bring fiscal order to Illinois.”
The primary election will be held on February 2nd, 2010 and the Republican Liberty Caucus will be mobilizing its members to support Andrzejewski’s campaign and bolster Get Out the Vote efforts.

The RLC is working to build a grassroots network of American citizens who champion our country’s Founding principles.
