TEA, ANYONE? 100+ Protests Nationwide, Oct 16-17

UPDATE: See slideshows of the Chicago Oct. 16 event here, and the Oct. 17 event here. There will be Tea Party-style protests nationwide all weekend long, America, and you are invited. Get off your LazyBoy and take to the streets! As Chelsea Schilling at World Net Daily writes, "American taxpayers are e-mailing and fax-blasting mainstream media and preparing to storm press offices and stations from Maui, Hawaii, to Atlanta, Ga. – and more than 100 locations in between – this Friday and Saturday. They are protesting mainstream media bias and a news blackout of the growing movement against Obama administration policies." Schilling also tells us that the events are being driven in part by "Operation: Can You Hear Us Now?" Over 100 protests against television and radio stations are planned around the US this weekend, mostly on Friday. "Nearly 9,500 fans," writes Schilling, "have flocked to a Facebook page for the event." In Chicago, "Operation: Can You Hear Us Now" has organized a "March on the Media" for Friday, October 16, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at ABC News studios, 180 N. State Street. That's downtown in the "Loop." After protesting outside of ABC, the marchers will proceed to CBS New studios, just one block away, at 22 W. Washington Blvd. Working closely with "Operation: Can You Hear Us Now" is the Chicago Tea Party, which is also involved in the protest on Saturday. The Saturday event is being called the "Silent NO More Tea Party." Tea Partiers will gather on October 17, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Millennium Park (N. Michigan Ave. and Washington Blvd.). This will be a more general protest event, not aimed specifically at the "mainstream" (obsolete) media. No doubt there will be much said about healthcare, bailouts and other points. Of special note is Kevin Jackson, who will be the special guest speaker on Saturday. Jackson is coming up from St. Louis for this event. He is in high demand nationwide for speaking engagements.
