Chicago's French Weekend

What to do this weekend? Lycée Français de Chicago will host its Fall Market this weekend, a three-day event! The basic info: What: A three-day French-style Fall Market in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood When: Friday - Sunday, October 16 - 18, 2009 Where: 613 W. Bittersweet Place in Chicago. Enter from Irving Park Road at Marine Drive Admission: Cheap! Adults $5 for adults. Free admission for children not participating in Children’s Pavilion activities. (More details below.) Cheap trinkets made overseas are hawked by vendors from outside of the hood, the food is predictable, and the entertainment often mundane. Well... Tucked into a snug corner of the former Immaculata High School at Lake Shore Drive and Irving Park Road, the halls ring with French.
