Must-Read - Palin Blasts Obama's Health Care Plans
You must read this before you watch Obama lie and beg tonight in his speech to a joint session of Congress. Sarah Palin wrote a great guest column for the Wall Street Journal yesterday. The title of her column is "Obama and the Bureaucratization of Health Care - The president's proposals would give unelected officials life-and-death rationing powers." No pulling of punches in the timely column. Palin, the former governor of Alaska and John McCain's VP running mate last year, started her column with this:
....President Barack Obama asked that Americans "talk with one another, and not over one another" as our health-care debate moves forward.
Palin goes on, addressing specifics:
First, ask yourself whether the government that brought us such "waste and inefficiency" and "unwarranted subsidies" in the first place can be believed when it says that this time it will get things right. The nonpartistan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) doesn't think so: Its director, Douglas Elmendorf, told the Senate Budget Committee in July that "in the legislation that has been reported we do not see the sort of fundamental changes that would be necessary to reduce the trajectory of federal health spending by a significant amount."
Will the health care reform zombie legions be swayed by Palin's column? It's doubtful, but it might sway some who are still on the fence. It may help clarify the arugment for those who are opposed to the Obama-Democrat Party push for government run socialized health care. Hopefully, it will embolden the fiscally conservative "blue dog" Democrats in Congress to continue their courageous resistance to Obama's attempt to turn us into a cheap imitation of Europe.
