What's In a Name? Notice to Webmasters, Media

A friendly reminder to webmasters and fellow bloggers: Please note that the name of this blog was changed in December, 2008. I know, this is whiny, but darn it, I'm just trying to protect my brand. I respect yours; please respect mine. I always appreciate a link, don't get me wrong. I'm just requesting that you refer to us correctly, as we make every effort to refer to you correctly. The name of this blog is "Chicago News Bench." To refer to it as "Rogers Park Bench" is, well, inaccurate. Yes, our URL remains http://rogersparkbench.blogspot.com,/ but would you refer to Illnois Review, for example, as "Illinoisreview Typepad?" Their URL, after all, is http://illinoisreview.typepad.com/. (Sincere thanks to Illinois Review, by the way, for referring to us correctly as "Chicago News Bench.") If your fingers are tired or you're just really in a hurry, "The Bench" is still a welcome nickname. Other examples: "Chicago Daily Observer" is not "Cdobs" (http://www.cdobs.com/) "Bill Baar's West Side" is not "Baars Westside" (http://baarswestside.blogspot.com/) "Wisconsin State Journal" is not "Madison" (http://www.madison.com/) You get the point. I'll stop whining now. Thanks, folks. Chicago News Bench RSS Feed Cool Stuff...
