Diversity Adversity Hypocricy

THE 49th Ward Aldergoof Joe Moore loves to "celebrate diversity." Or does he? Compare these two quotes from Moore: Moore said diversity can sometimes cause tension."We're not exactly hugging each other and singing 'Kumbaya.'" (February, 2007, speaking at the Freshman Urban Program's first colloquium before 44 Northwestern students at Norris University Center. Source: The Daily Northwestern)

"Celebrating Diversity in the 49th Ward" (Part of the top banner on Moore's web site, which is presented only in English.)

Question: Why would a guy celebrate something, anything that "can sometimes cause tension?" And if he truly celebrates it, why not at least offer a translator on his web site (as The Bench does in our right side panel)?
