Another Fiasco

Here's another email blast from Alderbeing Joe Moore. This one is about some paint job for the Howard CTA Station. Ahem, ah, where is the now-long-overdue "Mile of Murals" project? Where is Morse Avenue Streetscape? (Personal note to Joe: Now that the Morse Theatre put a link to your pitbull Westgard's libelous blog on its web site, can you stop deleting my email address from your autoblaster? I mean, people just forward them to me anyway, so grow up. Thanks, Joe.) Community Meeting to Review Proposed Artwork at Howard El Station Dear Comrades, The CTA Arts in Transit Program has nominated 16 Artists/Artist Teams-- including three 49th Ward artists--as finalists for the competition to commission permanent artwork for the new Howard El Station. I invite you to attend a community meeting to review and comment on the finalists' proposals. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 24th, 7:00 p.m., at the Gale Community Center (Howard and Marsfield). I hosted a meeting last April at my Ward Office to introduce the arts project and explain the commissioning process. Two artists (or artist teams) will be commissioned to create artwork for permanent exhbition at the Howard Station. The winners will be announced in October.
