The non-brilliant Monique Bond, of the Chicago Police Department's Office of News Affairs, sent this news release out. It is not dated. Imagine getting this mysterious "advisory." First, it's for the "Francis Funeral," not "the Officer Richard Francis funeral." Unintentional disrespect? Second, we're told to be there "no later than 9:30 a.m." Okay, but WHAT DAY? Ms. Bond, a "professional" PR person, doesn't seem to understand that a date would be really helpful.
MEDIA ADVISORY WHAT: Media Staging Areas for Francis Funeral WHEN: Media should be in place and staged no later than 9:30 a.m. WHERE: Two locations near St. Monica's Catholic Church, 5156 N. At the conclusion of the service, there will be no formal processional. Media parking is designated at Nordica and Foster.
