CHICAGO - Mayor Daley is commenting on a video by two Rogers Park citizen journalists, which shows them being assaulted on June 28, 2008 by a police officer and a paramedic - right in front of 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore's office. According to a July 15 report on WBBM 780 AM, Mayor Daley said that all first responders should act as though they are always being recorded and just do their jobs. The WBBM report also said that the video prompted the Chicago Fire Department to launch an investigation of the paramedics' behavior. The video shows them being more concerned with the camera recording them than with the well being of a man lying unconscious on the ground. Police officers stood by and watched as one paramedic tried to forcefully take a camera from one of the journalists. FULL STORY...
