Old Man Murtha Says McCain Too Old

75-year old Congressman Jack Murtha, D-PA, (photo) shill for the Clintons, says 71-year old John McCain is too old to be president. WTF? I heard a sharp caller to the Don and Roma Show on WLS (890 AM) in Chicago this morning say this: "So, the minimum age to qualify to be president is 35, and the minimum age to be a Congressman is 25. So McCain is twice the minimum requirement for president, but Murtha is three times the minimum age to be a Senator." Good point. Cong. Murtha is concerned, he says, that McCain won't be able to take the stress of being president, that "its no old mans job." (Source: ABC News) Gimme a break. Murtha said he thinks that Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., is too old – saying "its no old mans job." But is Murtha saying that being a Congressman is stress free, and that being 75 years old he is somehow better able to handle the tensions of national legislation than McCain? Perhaps this is all just bitter envy on Murtha's part. Older than McCain and with no chance of ever becoming president himself, Murtha could be upset that McCain looks better, has a hot wife, gets laughs on Leno and Letterman, and will never be accused of being a traitor. The McCain campaign said his tough campaign schedule proves he is physically able to withstand high stress situations. "I think people will evaluate John McCain through the type of campaign he is running," said McCain's senior advisor Steve Schmidt. "He’s a person who’s in great physical shape, who has outworked every other campaign on the Republican side, and you know, has a much tougher and demanding schedule than Senator Obama."
