That's our
Aldertyrant Joe Moore, effectively king of our tiny 2-square mile duchy. Recently,
Hugh reported on The Broken Heart that the infamous
"Zoning and Land Use Advisory Committee" (ZALUAC) has been disbanded.
Village imbecile Thomas J. Westgard took the opportunity to
call Hugh's report an April Fool's joke, proving only that
Westgard is so damned confused that he doesn't know fact from reality, as he
vacillates weekly from Moore suck up to Moore critic.
Today Hugh followed up on his ZALUAC coverage. It's a must-read.
What else can you say about a committee that should meet monthly
but has not met for nearly half a year except that
it has been disbanded. Or put out to pasture, or something to that effect.
So no, Hugh's excellent post was not a joke. It is, in effect, true. Furthermore, until such time that
ZALUAC reconvenes and resumes it "regular" schedule of meeting, we must assume that it is exists in name only, and not in practice.
Hang in there, folks, thanks to infighting in Springfield, an proposed amendment to the Illinois constitution
may soon allow us to recall Joe Moore.
