United Against Eminent Domain Abuse
Thanks to Imre M. Hidvegi, owner of Chicago Soccer in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. His store was almost grabbed by the Chicago City Council in an attempted abuse of eminent domain. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a meeting on March 11.
Hello Thomas,
I just wanted to thank you again for your help in our battle with the City over eminent domain. The blogs are all important and you are right that people need to step up and utilize this fabulous electronic medium. I did not blast out the Town Hall meeting notice to my list until late Sunday and I was the one who contacted Christina. I agree that I, and others, should have attended the Ogden TIF scam but I had just arrived back in town from out of the country and I was unable to attend. I was going to speak to you personally at the meeting but I missed you. Please keep me updated and I do read your blog quite often. Keep up the great work. You helped save my business and my livelihood and I appreciate that. Thank you once again,
Imre M. Hidvegi
