Foolish Reader Begs For Asskicking
Truly pitiful comments are rejected by The Bench; I don't like picking on the mentally retarded. Now and then, however, a reader who is obviously not retarded writes a comment that is so amusing I just have to share it with you, the more rational reader. A person who calls himself "Mark Fletcher" is one such, who begifted us with the following gems. "Mark Fletcher," if that's his real name, is not courageous enough to share any information about himself, however. His Blogger Profile is blank. Perhaps Mr. Fletcher will reveal himself, so that we may bask in the light of his expertise one day soon.
Mark Fletcher has left a new comment on your post "Canterbury Tales of Sharia Law":
"Thanks for the article Tom. Incidentally, how long did you live in Britain for? I've lived there for 20+ years and I didnt think Britain was losing to the British... I'd be interested to hear your experiences of when you were there?"
My poignant response:
Mark, I will assume that you have had 20+ years experience with your own ass, as well. Why, then, are you still not able to keep your head from becoming stuck in it? I have never lived in Britain but I did fly over it once. However, the British authors of the article in the British newspaper from which I quoted and to which I linked have more experience living in England than you do. You see, Genius, the story that I merely presented a link to appears in a British newspaper. Therefore, your comment is not only stupid, it is misdirected.
Mr. Fletcher is a determined man:
Mark Fletcher has left a new comment on your post "Steans Ejects Citizen Journalist From Victory Part...":
"Voting in November? I'd like to thank you in advance for voting for the Democrats; after all, anything else would be pissing your vote away."
Mark, let me recommend a remedial reading course. Your powers of comprehension seem to be, uhm, not what they should be. Nowhere in my post did I say that I was (a) even voting in November or (b) which candidate I would vote for. You jumped to the conclusion that I would (a) be voting and that I would (b) vote for a Democrat. When you assume, Mark, you only make an ass of you, not me.
Mark, your comment about "pissing your vote away" shows that you are incredibly ignorant, completely brainwashed, or both. Was voting for Democrat Todd Stroger a good idea? How about Democrat Rod Blagojevich? Are you one of the sycophants who mindlessly voted for David Fagus? My simple point is this: I have never voted a straight ticket because I'm open minded and not a mindless follower. Sadly, you seem to be such a creature.
