Why did the police buzz the block of Jay R. Grodner early last night? Craig's got a story about a warrant - or was it? - for Chicago attorney Jay R. Grodner. He's the guy that allegedly keyed a local U.S. Marine's car, damaging it to the tune of more than $2,000.Craig was good enough to call me from his home. I immediately set out on foot and hightailed it down to 24th District Police HQ near Clark and Devon. They weren't talking at 7:30. They knew nothing. Nope. Not a word. Of course not, right?
So I buzz by Grodner's home, 8:15 p.m. Lights on. Ford Taurus parked out front. Hell, he probably didn't even know about this. Might not, still. Mysterious. Mysterious, indeed.
