Rhymes With "Witch"

That's Mo Cahill, craziest witch in Rogers Park, Chicago. In response to the SDS video I posted recently (scroll down), she wrote this incredibly stupid note. So stupid, in fact, that I've turned comments back on for anybody who wishes to point out that Mo "been there" Cahill has apparently been living in another dimension for the past 50 years. Date: Sun, 25 Nov 2007 15:50:02 -0600 From: "Mo Cahill" To: rogersparkbench@yahoo.com Subject: spitting on veterans for the love of god, do you care about the truth at all? peace protesters spitting on a returning vet is an urban legend. this story was never told until the movie rambo, after which it entered the culture. i defy you to find an actual, contemporary story in any newspaper or other periodical supporting this absurd myth. i will settle for a story of said service member beating the snot out of said protester, which you know would be the outcome of such an act. i will just point out that most of these stories have a vet coming home and being spat on in the airport. you know this is not true for a simple reason- returning servicemen come back to their base on military transport. if they are discharged, they wear their civvies, and would not be identifiable as military. and i also need to point out that the constant accusation that people who want peace "hate the troops" is a ludicrous trope that has no basis in fact. i realize that that is no barrier to your publishing it, or even believing it. but really. what horse shit. prove that one if you can. Disgraceful, Mo. You disgust me.
